Chapter 42 The Biggest Ungrateful Thief, Old Man Li

Since Aunt Hua had stopped, they all enjoyed the free excitement. If a fight really broke out, they could even help Boss Li, all for Li Yiyi's sake.

"Mother, what's wrong?"

Old Master Li looked at Old Lady Li with a puzzled expression.

“You’re going to treat Yi Yi. Why didn’t you tell your mother before? Here’s the money. Although my Li family isn’t exactly wealthy, we still have the money to treat our granddaughter. Don’t make a fool of yourself by not saying a word next time.”

The good-natured woman stuffed the money into Old Lady Li's hand, much to Old Lady Li's dismay.

Aunt Hua and the others all had a gossipy look in their eyes. Could there be some hidden story behind this? They knew that Old Lady Li wouldn't be so heartless.

Even if they had no feelings for Boss Li, he had still saved their lives.

[Father, Old Lady Li is so cruel! As long as you take the money, we'll be the ones with a bad reputation.]

"Dad, I saw it. It was Li Laosan who reported you, trying to frame you."

[Dad, rise up and fight back!]

"Mother, do you really want Yi-yi to get better?"

Old Li, his hands trembling, snatched the money from Old Lady Li's hand. The tug and pull were enough for Aunt Hua and the others to see that Old Lady Li's hand was harder than iron when she took the money.

Just as they saw, was Old Lady Li really willing to give money?

Li Laosan quickly stepped forward and helped Li Laoda take the money to his side.

“Brother, what are you saying? Is Mother such an ungrateful person? Not to mention that we are all Father and Mother’s sons, just because you saved them, they would not be so heartless as to not give you money.”

This perfectly answers everyone's questions. Yes, why wouldn't Old Lady Li take the money?

"Third Uncle, but I clearly saw Grandma clutching the money tightly and not giving it to Dad."

[Dad, watch me help you out!]

From now on, please call me the assist master.

Li Laoda smiled. He had gotten fifty yuan for free. What could he buy for his wife and daughter?

"Third Uncle, this morning my cousin Fu Bao was saying, 'Why am I still alive?'"

“I haven’t done anything, I just want to live a good life, why did my cousin Fu Bao say that?”

With teary eyes, Boss Li added,

“Daughter, Daddy won’t let you leave. Fu Bao might have said something wrong; she’s still just a child.”

He gently stroked Li Yiyi's head reassuringly, then pointed a finger suggestively. Li Yiyi understood.

"Dad, is it possible that someone in the family didn't want to save me, and then kept repeating it to my cousin Fu Bao?"

Hehe, let them fight like dogs.

"Don't talk nonsense. Kids shouldn't meddle in adults' business."

Having finished speaking, Li Yiyi "angrily" buried her head in Li Laoda's arms.

Old Mrs. Li and Li Laosan were both extremely guilty, after all, they had said countless times that Li Yiyi wouldn't live long.

"Did you teach Fu Bao to say that, Li Laosan? Otherwise, why would your older brother be so heartbroken that he doesn't dare to come to me for money to pay for Yi's medical treatment?"

That perfectly covered up the past. If Old Lady Li couldn't see through Li Laosan's lie, she would have lived in vain for all those years.

She also felt guilty towards Li Laosan. If he hadn't failed to keep an eye on Li Fuyi, she wouldn't have spoken out of turn and offended Li Laoda, and Aunt Hua and the others would have overheard it.

"Mom, I didn't. I'm always at work, I don't have time to take care of Fu Bao. It must be my wife who taught her that. I'll go and teach her a lesson right now."

A burning gaze was fixed on Li Laosan, who immediately pushed the pot aside and strode into the house with lightning speed.

"Don't worry, eldest son. If you need money for Yi's medical treatment in the future, just come to your mother for it. Don't listen to Fu Bao's nonsense and hurt our relationship."

With a stiff upper lip, Old Lady Li finished speaking under the mocking gaze of Older Li.

"I understand, thank you, Mother."

He'll take the money; he likes it that way.

"Thank you, Grandma, I understand."

[Dad, we should cherish this free money bag, after all, I'm frail and sickly.]

Their attitudes were anything but cooperative, and two pairs of eyes were fixed on him with identical expressions. Old Mrs. Li felt as if she were being watched, a chill running down her spine.

"Okay, Grandma will go in first."

Looking at Li Yiyi's adorable little face, Old Lady Li forced a smile.

Aunt Hua and the others understood; it turned out to be a family dispute that stemmed from Wang Yiting's resentment. Li Fuyi had accidentally picked up some of the curses Wang Yiting used against Li Yiyi.

Although the "misunderstanding" was cleared up, the women still didn't have a very good impression of Li Fuyi.

She'll be six years old after the New Year. She's easily swayed by rumors. In other families, five or six-year-olds can be used as part of the workforce. But Li Fuyi is still immature and has largely become a brainless lazybones.

They all left, leaving only Li Laoda (Li Yiyi) and Li Laosi at the door.

"Brother, we all share the same fate, and we all suffer the same fate. I hope you understand the meaning of this sentence."

It may seem like a misunderstanding, but Li Laosi wouldn't believe it without Li Laoda stirring things up inside, which is why he stayed behind on purpose.

"Fourth Uncle, why are you talking about my father? You're the ones who don't understand!"

Li Yiyi looked at Li Laosi with a puzzled expression, then suddenly realized what was going on.

"I understand. Fourth Uncle, you must not dare to offend Li Fuyi, so you want to use her good fortune to help you get a job, which is why you are criticizing my father."

"Fourth Uncle, I really don't think much of you."

“It’s clear that Li Fuyi caused all this trouble, but you don’t dare to speak up. You only dare to find someone you can afford to offend. You’re shameless.”

Li Yi exposed Li Laosi's filth and ulterior motives, causing him to lose face. He did indeed have that idea.

"Brother, please think carefully about what I'm saying."
