Chapter 177 Lu Liang

Qin Huaichuan nodded after hearing this. He felt more at ease with Song Qingshan's people around.

"Captain Song, which brigade does that farmer belong to?" Su Mianmian thought for a moment and asked.

"It's very close to you. It's the Luwanwan Brigade."

Song Qingshan sat for a while and was about to get up and leave.

“Then you two can just go there tomorrow,” he said, then took out a pen and paper from his jacket pocket, wrote down the address and handed it to Shen Yuandao.

"Remember that safety is important. You must protect yourself and the villagers. If anything goes wrong, throw the firecrackers in time and we will come in to rescue."

Shen Yuandao nodded. This is one way, but it is the Spring Festival and many people are setting off firecrackers. How can they know it is them?

Thinking of this, he asked.

Song Qingshan thought for a moment and said, "Set off three firecrackers at the same time, and we'll rush in when we hear the noise."

"Okay, we got it." The four nodded.

Song Qingshan nodded, "Okay, then I'll leave first if you're fine. I'll go and keep watch, fearing that those bastards might do something dangerous out of desperation."

After saying this, he strode out of the Yun family.

Su Mianmian looked at Song Qingshan's back as he left and couldn't help but sigh, "They've worked so hard."

The other three nodded, agreeing with Su Mianmian's words.

The next morning, we went to Luwanwan Brigade to rescue people.

Su Mianmian woke up at dawn. She specifically told Xiao Ayan something, then left the Yun family and ran into Shen Yuandao leaning on his bicycle at the door.

When Shen Yuandao saw her coming out, he pointed to the back seat and said, "Let's go."

As he spoke, Shen Yuandao naturally took the gift from Su Mianmian's hand and placed it on the handlebars.

Su Mianmian thought for a moment and said, "Let's ride a bicycle. We have one at home. Wait for me and I'll go ride it."

"No need!" Shen Yuandao blurted out.

"I mean, it's a bit troublesome to go in and get the bike. There are only two of us. I can give you a ride."

Su Mianmian thought about it and it seemed to be just like that, so she nodded, sat in the back seat and the two of them set off.

"Can you find the way?" Su Mianmian asked a little worriedly.

Shen Yuandao rode his bicycle steadily, facing the breeze and responded loudly: "Don't worry, Captain Song specially left a detailed address yesterday, I remember it very clearly."

The distance between Luwanwan Brigade and Sanyang Brigade is very close. The two rode on the country road, enjoying the tranquility and freshness of the early morning.

About half an hour later, they arrived at their destination.

In the brigade, a festive atmosphere was everywhere. People were busy and happy. Children were wearing brand new clothes, chasing and playing on the village paths, or gathering together, excitedly sharing each other's New Year stories.

At this time, a little boy of seven or eight years old saw Su Mianmian and Shen Yuandao. He looked at them curiously, especially when he saw them riding bicycles, his eyes flashed with excitement.

The little boy mustered up his courage, ran up to them, and asked in a childish voice, "Where are you from? Are you coming to our village to play?"

As the little boy ran over, his friends followed him.

Seeing this, Su Mianmian smiled and took out a handful of candy from her pocket and distributed it to the children around her.

Su Mianmian handed the candy to the little boy and said with a smile, "We are here to visit relatives. Here are some candies for you to try."

The little boy took the White Rabbit candy and squinted his eyes with joy. He thanked her repeatedly, "Thank you, sister. Where are you going? I can take you there!"

Shen Yuandao, who was standing by, interrupted at the right time, "It's okay, we know the way."

"Thank you for the candy, sister!" the children said in unison, with innocent smiles on their faces.

Su Mianmian smiled and waved her hand, motioning them to go and have fun, and then she sat on the back seat of Shen Yuandao's bicycle.

Following the address provided by Song Qingshan, the two of them shuttled between the scattered farmhouses and finally arrived at the door of the Yun family.

Su Mianmian looked around, and her sharp eyes caught the figure of Song Qingshan.

She saw Song Qingshan hiding not far away with a group of people. When he saw the two people coming, he smiled at them and made a gesture.

Su Mianmian and Shen Yuandao looked at each other and nodded in unison. Shen Yuandao knocked on the door.

After a slight noise inside the door, a slightly hoarse yet steady male voice came through the crack of the door, a mixture of confusion and alertness in the voice. "Who is it?"

The words were brief, but they were enough to make the two people outside the door feel nervous.

Su Mianmian and Shen Yuandao didn't know what was going on inside, so Shen Yuandao had to pretend to be relaxed and test it.

"It's Chinese New Year, so of course we're visiting relatives. What's wrong with you today? You can't even recognize my voice?"

The voice inside the door seemed to be relieved, followed by a slightly apologetic chuckle.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm still sleepy so early in the morning. My head is full of mush. It turns out to be Brother Shen. Please come in, please come in!"

After he finished speaking, the gate of the courtyard was opened.

As the words fell, the wooden door slowly opened, and a thin figure came into view.

He stood within the threshold and said calmly, "The person is in the house, follow me."

The two men had a plan in mind. The situation before them coincided with their previous thoughts. This man must be a suspect in the group suspected of stealing cultural relics.

Su Mianmian immediately put on a relaxed and natural smile. "Hey! I was wondering why you all looked so unfamiliar. It turns out you're all here to visit today! Look at the time! It's only nine in the morning. You're really diligent to come so early."

Her words were friendly and casual, like neighbors, which eased the tense atmosphere in the air.

Upon hearing this, the man simply responded, "Yes, we are used to getting up early."

There was a subtle hint of wariness in his voice.

Then, the two were brought into the house.

Although the furnishings in the room were simple, they were kept extremely tidy. Two men in their fifties were sitting on the kang. Their faces were engraved with the traces of time, and they stared at Su Mianmian and the other person with sharp eyes.

On the ground stood a couple, with a child who looked about three or four years old nestled beside them. The child opened his eyes wide and looked at everyone who came in curiously.

Su Mianmian's gaze froze at that moment. She was surprised to find that the man and the child were the father and son selling beef whom she had met in the market last time.

When the little boy saw Su Mianmian, his eyes lit up immediately, and his tender voice was filled with surprise and excitement: "Beautiful sister!"

This call instantly broke the silence in the room and also made the two people on the kang feel a little relieved.

Su Mianmian remembered that the boy's name was Lu Liang, and he said he wanted to learn martial arts from her.

Thinking of this, Su Mianmian's smile became even gentler. She squatted down and looked Lu Liang in the eye.

"Liangliang, long time no see. Why didn't you come to play with me? Didn't you agree to learn some self-defense martial arts from me?"
