Chapter 47 Chapter 47 Husband, You’re Tiring Me Out
"How come?" Jiang Hexue was stunned by Shen Qingchen's question and hooked her finger at him. "Let me take a look."
He handed the double-leather book to her, and it was indeed a blank page. She turned several pages in despair, but there was still no word on it.
Jiang Hexue threw the book aside and said stubbornly, "Could it be that without the instruction in the book, my husband wouldn't know how to do it?"
"Yes." Shen Qingchen held her wrist, looked at her, and slowly raised the corner of his lips.
The cool white jade ring on his finger rested against her palm. Jiang Hexue heard him coax her in a low, hoarse voice that was completely unfamiliar to her: "Tell me you like me, sweetheart."
-
Shen Qingchen taught her through her own actions that blank space means both ethereal nothingness and free play.
Jiang Hexue's voice became hoarse, and she secretly vowed never to compete with him in bed again.
As soon as I soaked in the warm bath water, I was so tired that I leaned against the wall of the pool. I pressed my hands inward on the grooves on the wall, and then I felt that I finally had a safe and reliable fulcrum.
"Drink some water." Shen Qingchen went outside and poured her a cup of water at just the right temperature. "It's late, it's not suitable to drink tea."
Jiang Hexue drank three cups in a row from his hand before she felt the dryness in her throat ease and she had the strength to talk to him.
But when she saw his relaxed look, the words on her lips changed their tone: "Chen Zhaohua!"
"Hmm?" This was the first time Shen Qingchen heard her call him that, and he paused as he sprinkled petals into the bath water. "What's up?"
His voice was as clear as ever, yet with a hint of unspeakable satisfaction, which contrasted irritatingly with her still hoarse voice.
"You were so unreasonable just now!" She glared at him angrily and thought she was vicious. "How could you be so..."
Every time he moved, he would force her to say something. If she didn't say anything, he would stop and keep her hanging.
She had not realized that he had such a bad side before, but she felt embarrassed even to say such blunt words.
And that posture...
She really hadn't expected that Shen Qingchen would remember her casual provocative joke for so long, and really tried his understanding of "the monkey trying to take the moon" with her.
She could hardly look at this word directly, and for the time being she didn't want to hang on to Shen Qingchen and ask him to help her wash up.
"You're tiring me to death." Jiang Hexue finally threw a handful of wet petals at him and complained.
Shen Qingchen touched the back of his neck uncomfortably, and sat down behind her knowing he was in the wrong: "I'll give you a massage to apologize, okay?"
Jiang Hexue hummed with barely satisfied expression.
She hated the tedious task of washing her hair, but luckily someone was doing it for her now. They used soap to lather her hair and then washed it clean, then used a wash towel to absorb most of the moisture, combed her long hair until it was smooth, and spread it out to dry.
He then took out some red plum hair oil and bent down to apply it carefully for her.
He sat by the bathtub with his trouser legs rolled up, his calves beside her face. Jiang Hexue picked up flower petals and placed them along his blood vessels. With a glance, she caught a glimpse of his hair that was hanging down in the water because it was not tied up.
"Zhaohua, why don't you tie it up?" She hooked his hairband off his wrist. "It's all wet."
"I'll help you tie it up. You have some hair oil on your hands." She turned sideways and considerately tucked his loose black hair behind his ears. "It will only take a little while to tie it up... Zhaohua, your ears?"
The hand holding his hair stopped at the tip of his ear, staring at the gold stud on his ear bone, and her voice was hoarse: "What is this?"
"Ear bone studs." Shen Qingchen's tone was calm, as if he was discussing a common topic like "How's the weather today?" "Do they look good? Do you like them?"
"It looks good. I like it." Jiang Hexue did not lie to him.
It is a new and unfamiliar beauty. He has fair skin and a cool and noble temperament. Wearing such pure gold yet monotonous earrings does not make him look vulgar at all, but rather adds a sense of low-key and restrained luxury.
But she didn't feel much joy in her heart.
It felt like a ball of water-soaked cotton was stuffed in my heart, making it hard to breathe. I also felt sore and numb, as if I was being slowly poked by a needle.
"That's good." But Shen Qingchen chuckled.
"What's good about it?" Jiang Hexue didn't let go, staring intently at the edge of his ear, which was unusually red, and the tiny rash on it, muttering, "I regret it. I don't like it at all."
"Do you like to pierce your earlobes?" Shen Qingchen turned aside, avoiding her hand, and continued to apply hair oil to her.
Jiang Hexue shook his head: "I don't like it either."
Shen Qingchen was silent, and the movement of applying hair oil to her also slowed down quietly. After applying it and sealing the jade bottle tightly, he asked again: "What do you like?"
"I don't like it anywhere." Jiang Hexue didn't want his help. She walked to change her clothes, stopping every step of the way, leaving him with only cold words and a back view.
Shen Qingchen did not follow stubbornly, his fingers entwined with the tiny braid that had not been undone, recalling vaguely and slowly.
He remembered correctly. Qiong Qiong had said that she liked men with pierced ears and that she thought earrings looked very beautiful.
Why am I unhappy about everything today?
Or... I only like Fu Wang, and only like his ear holes.
After standing still for a while, Shen Qingchen hooked her loose hair and covered her ears again before walking towards the screen where she was changing clothes. She said in a very soft voice, "Do you want to be hugged?"
The sound of changing clothes had long since ceased behind the screen. After a moment's silence, an unexpected answer was heard: "Yes."
Shen Qingchen was stunned for a moment, then he crossed the screen, picked her up from behind, and lowered his eyes: "Qiong Qiong...?"
He met her tear-stained face.
"What's wrong?" He was suddenly in a panic, wanting to wipe her tears, but her arms wouldn't hold him back, and he didn't dare let go. He instinctively admitted his fault. "I'm sorry, it's my fault."
"What's wrong with you?" Jiang Hexue asked.
"I didn't tell you in advance, so I went to pierce your ears." Shen Qingchen walked to the couch and put her down.
"That's not right." Jiang Hexue put her arms around his neck, not allowing him to retreat. "You're missing the point."
It’s not the ear hole’s fault?
Shen Qingchen bent over and looked at her, her earlobes turning red a little.
"Did I make you uncomfortable just now?" he asked in a low voice. "Is it pain or are you too tired?"
Jiang Hexue's tears, which had been flowing continuously, suddenly stopped.
"You scoundrel," she scolded him, pulling her arm away and curling back. "Idiot. Stupid."
Shen Qingchen froze beside the couch, at a loss.
"I'm saying you're missing the point. When did I ever say you picked the wrong topic?" Jiang Hexue sniffed and turned back. "Bring me the medicine you usually apply. Sit down and show your ears."
Shen Qingchen did as he was told.
As they got closer, the dense red rashes around his ear holes became clearer, and Jiang Hexue could even see the marks of small blisters on his skin where they had cracked.
Out of spite, she didn't control her strength, and while applying the medicine she observed his occasional frown.
Until Shen Qingchen couldn't help but gasp.
"Okay." He moved her hand away, pursed his lips and then released it.
"Do you feel the pain now?" Jiang Hexue threw the ointment aside and glared at him angrily. "Why didn't you know it would hurt when you decided to pierce your ears despite your sensitivity?"
"You are angry about this." Shen Qingchen reacted and said immediately. "It's not a disease, it's my negligence."
"I'm angry? I'm heartbroken!" Jiang Hexue was dissatisfied with his perfunctory deception. "Do you think I've never pierced my ears and can't tell the difference between inflammation and allergies?"
The clumsy lie was exposed. Shen Qingchen stopped arguing and just looked at her, repeating softly: "You feel sorry for me."
So she didn't just like Fu Wang's ear holes.
She also liked him and did not lie to him today.
Jiang Hexue hugged her knees and rested her head on them: "Did it hurt when you pierced your ears?"
"It doesn't hurt." His mind was full of the sweet words just now.
"lie."
"You lied too." Shen Qingchen asked her again. "Do you like it?"
Jiang Hexue was tired of sitting, so she turned over and lay on his thighs, humming softly without answering him.
He was in a comfortable lying position, and she unconsciously leaned against his waist and abdomen. After leaning for a while, she couldn't help yawning.
"Can I coax you to rest?" Shen Qingchen supported her shoulders slightly, with a faint smile on his lips.
"You should have comforted me first." Jiang Hexue poked his abdominal muscles. "Even after I've lost my temper, I still need to comfort him."
"What do you think of me?" Shen Qingchen asked her.
"Kiss." Jiang Hexue tapped her forehead, waited for him to kiss her, then tapped her nose and cheek.
He kissed her one by one, and then she nodded: "I want this here too."
Shen Qingchen leaned over and rubbed it gently and carefully.
"You're such a good boy." Jiang Hexue squinted her eyes contentedly at him. "You're also a good boy."
"Qiong Qiong's good baby."
-
The tranquility of Qianxiangfang for many days was broken by Ruan Yueyi's hairpin that was broken into two pieces.
"What did you put in the powder?" Jiang Hexue threw the broken hairpin in front of Ah Cheng. "Love fragrance?"
"The powder used to enhance sexual pleasure at Qimengxuan." Ah Cheng didn't even cry out for injustice, showing a rather "resolute" spirit of daring to do and take responsibility.
"Kneel down!" Jiang Hexue was enraged by her self-righteous attitude. "Why? Did I treat you unfairly?"
"A Liu is dead." Ah Cheng knelt, his voice trembling. "After you left Qi Meng Xuan, he was beaten to death by the madam."
"What does this have to do with me?" Jiang Hexue was stunned for a moment, then curled her lips. "Is this why you want to harm Princess Gan Le?"
"She hit you that day, but you didn't choose her, and you didn't redeem her later." Ah Cheng's expression showed no trace of remorse. "She died because of the princess."
Jiang Hexue was so angry that she laughed: "When I went to Qimengxuan, I chose a calm and composed helper. Helping you to look after Ah Liu is already a favor. If I don't help, why would it be your turn to lecture me?"
Ah Cheng no longer responded.
"Xue Lan." Jiang Hexue waved and ordered, feeling exhausted. "Take him to the Dali Temple and tell them they attempted to harm Princess Gan Le."
Ah Cheng didn't cry or make a fuss. She just glanced at Ruan Yueyi, who was calm and composed beside her, and sighed softly, "I was negligent. I should have inquired about your relationship in advance."
Xuelan pointed at her mute point without hesitation.
"Noisy." Ruan Yueyi glanced at her sideways and instructed her personal maid. "Qidong, follow me. You know what to say."
"If she manages to escape from the Dali Temple," Jiang Hexue whispered again. "Xue Lan, pass the message to Zhou Yiheng."
Only then did Ah Cheng whimper in fear, as if begging for mercy.
Jiang Hexue closed her eyes and said, "I have never been a kind person. Since you think I won't help you to the end, then I won't help you either."
After seeing off a few people, she collapsed back into her chair, her head tilted slightly to Ruan Yueyi, "I'm sorry. Are you really okay?"
Ruan Yueyi shook her head and said, "Jiang Xingcong is a gentleman."
Jiang Hexue couldn't help but laugh: "What bad luck! I should tie two bunches of pomelo leaves on the door... How annoying!"
"Princess, are you in a bad mood?" Fu Wang's long-lost laughter suddenly came from outside the door. "How about I accompany you to drink and drown your sorrows?"
