Chapter 83 General Zhou, who loves his daughter dearly

After Liu Wen left, Shen Xiujin turned and looked at the general's mansion. The guards of the general's mansion who were injured in the fight frowned slightly.

He then waved to several of his men and ordered them to load them onto the carriage and send them all to a nearby clinic for treatment.

After everything was arranged, he carefully carried Zhou Jingyao, who had suddenly fainted just now, and quickly got in the carriage and drove towards the general's mansion.

Not long after, Shen Xiujin arrived at the gate of the general's mansion. Seeing this, the gatekeeper turned pale with fear and hurried inside to report.

After a while, Mrs. Zhou rushed over after hearing the news. She saw Zhou Jingyao in Shen Xiujin's arms covered in blood with her eyes closed.

Mrs. Zhou was so frightened that her face turned pale and she almost fainted. Fortunately, the maid beside her was quick to support her.

"This...what is going on? My daughter...Jingyao...how could she become like this?" Mrs. Zhou asked in a trembling voice.

Shen Xiujin recounted the entire incident with a look of guilt on his face, and said that the blood on Zhou Jingyao's body was the blood of the death row prisoner, not hers.

He also explained that he had sent people to send all the injured guards to the clinic for treatment.

After hearing this, although Mrs. Zhou was still frightened, she couldn't blame Shen Xiujin too much. She could only urge him to take Zhou Jingyao to the mansion to see the doctor for treatment.

He immediately ordered a strong maid to take his daughter from Shen Xiujin's arms and have someone carry Zhou Jingyao back, so as to prevent people around from seeing her and tarnishing his daughter's reputation.

The old woman carried Zhou Jingyao into the room and placed her on the bed, and the court doctor quickly arrived.

After a detailed examination, the court doctor breathed a sigh of relief and said, "It's all right, young lady. It's just a dislocated right arm. I'll reattach it right away."

Madam Zhou was relieved after hearing what the court doctor said. It was good that it was not a fracture, otherwise, her daughter might really hold Shen Xiujin responsible!

After a while, the court doctor held Zhou Jingyao's right arm and exerted force suddenly. There was a crisp "click" sound, and Zhou Jingyao's arm was successfully repositioned instantly.

However, the sudden severe pain woke Zhou Jingyao, who was originally unconscious, up suddenly, and she burst into tears.

General Zhou, who had returned anxiously, heard his daughter's cries as he reached the door. Unable to suppress his rage any longer, he rushed into the house in two steps, pointing at the court doctor and Shen Xiujin and yelling:

"You bunch of losers! If you can't even take care of a little girl, what's the use of you? And you, Shen Xiujin! My daughter was fine when she went out with you, but she became like this when she came back. How on earth did you protect her?"

At this moment, General Zhou was extremely furious and disliked both of the people in front of him.

Shen Xiujin quickly bowed and apologized, saying that he would take responsibility and even pay for the medical expenses of the guards.

But he was scolded by General Zhou again. He said that Shen Xiujin was ambitious and shameless, and was trying to use this opportunity to get involved with his daughter. He told Shen Xiujin not to be so foolish and to get out of here quickly!

The fact that his daughter was injured was like a bolt from the blue that hit his heart, causing him so much pain that his heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys were all mixed together.

General Zhou stood by the bed anxiously, looking at his pale-faced daughter. The anger in his heart rose rapidly, and he kept cursing those guys who deserved to be cut into pieces in his heart.

General Zhou was heartbroken by his daughter's injury and kept cursing. First, the mediocre doctor, who usually received a generous salary, couldn't even treat such a minor injury at the critical moment. What a waste of money to support such a useless person!

Then she started to curse that hateful Shen Xiujin. If he hadn't insisted on asking her daughter out to play, how could her daughter have suffered such a disaster?

Anyway, after scolding the court doctor and Shen Xiujin, General Zhou now looked at them all as evil people who persecuted his daughter.

After the court doctor nervously prescribed a tranquilizing decoction for Zhou Jingyao, he fled the room like a flash.

Damn it! He really had no other choice. General Zhou’s livid face was too scary.

He was afraid that if he ran a little later, General Zhou would explode and beat him up. What if he ran slower? Who knows, he might actually get beaten up!

General Zhou glared at Shen Xiujin, the culprit. Even though he finally saved Zhou Jingyao and apologized sincerely, no one gave Shen Xiujin a good look.

Especially in his own eyes, he felt that these were far from enough to make up for the mistakes he had made, and he rolled his eyes at him.

Especially now that he knew his precious daughter was fine, he ruthlessly waved his hand and drove Shen Xiujin out of the general's mansion.

Humph! Who told him to ask his daughter out to play? His daughter was fine when she left, but who would have thought that when she came back, something almost happened to her. How could he not be angry?

Mrs. Zhou also sighed, and felt a little embarrassed when she looked at Shen Xiujin. She sighed: If Zhou Jingyao had not been safe and sound, given the general's stubborn temper, Shen Xiujin would have had difficulty flying out of the gate of the general's mansion today.

"well!"

Shen Xiujin stood outside the general's mansion, looking at the vermilion door that had just been closed. He couldn't help but sigh heavily, his face full of helplessness.

He had originally planned to have a confrontational date with Zhou Jingyao, but he had never expected such an accident to happen midway. He knew that he had completely messed up.

Not only did he cause Zhou Jingya to be injured, but he also ended up being kicked out of the Zhou family!

But he didn't feel angry at all. After all, he was the one who was in the wrong first in this matter!
