This woman was extremely beautiful, with slanted eyes, delicately arched eyebrows, skin as white as refined cream, and lips as red as plum blossoms dotted with snow. She possessed a graceful demeanor, her breath as fragrant as orchids, her expression calm and composed, and every gesture exuded elegance.
Su Xiaoning was momentarily captivated by the woman's gaze, but sensing her ill intentions, she withdrew her eyes and hid behind Su Qingcai.
Su Qingcai whispered in her ear, "This is Feng Lin."
Feng Lin is a well-known figure in high society, with a mysterious identity that no one has been able to see through to this day.
I don't know why I met such a person at Xiuyi Workshop, but it's best not to provoke them.
Su Qingcai kept his eyes straight ahead, accepting Feng Lin's scrutiny with an open and honest demeanor. Feng Lin suddenly revealed a smile of interest, but said nothing, and walked past Su Qingcai and the others.
A faint fragrance wafted into her nostrils, and suddenly a flash of purple appeared before her eyes. Su Xiaoning watched as a handkerchief flew from the direction of Fenglin and landed on the ground in front of Su Qingcai.
Feng Lin turned around and strolled leisurely to Su Qingcai's side. She didn't reach out to pick up the handkerchief, but just stared at Su Qingcai with a half-smile, as if hinting that he should pick it up.
Su Qingcai had no interest in other women and naturally didn't want to help pick up the handkerchief. He stood there motionless, as if he hadn't understood Feng Lin's gaze at all.
He didn't move, and Feng Lin didn't leave either. The two remained in this stalemate, creating an extremely awkward atmosphere.
Su Xiaoning couldn't stand it anymore, so she simply picked up the handkerchief herself and handed it to Feng Lin.
"Thank you." Feng Lin gave Su Xiaoning a sweet smile, her gaze drifting to Su Qingcai beside her. "May I ask what your master's name is?"
“This…” Su Xiaoning didn’t know whether to say that he was the Ninth Prince.
Seeing her struggle, Su Qingcai shielded Su Xiaoning behind him and uttered two words calmly.
"Jiang Lin."
He couldn't reveal his true identity and had to use someone else's. After thinking it over, the young general's name seemed the best option.
A hint of surprise flashed across Feng Lin's eyes, but she quickly regained her composure and warmly leaned closer: "So it's General Jiang who has graced us with his presence. This is truly unexpected! Is this your first time visiting Xiuyi Workshop, Young Master Jiang? I can show you around."
It was the first time for all three of them to visit Xiuyifang, so having a guide wouldn't hurt. Su Qingcai nodded in agreement.
Feng Lin smiled and actually led the three of them around Xiu Yi Fang. She seemed to know Xiu Yi Fang very well, and could talk about it fluently wherever they went, which was amazing.
There's just one downside... she's standing way too close to Su Qingcai.
Feng Lin walked closely beside Su Qingcai, their bodies practically pressed together, seamlessly interlocked. Even when Su Qingcai tried to distance herself, she insisted on staying close, and yet she delivered her explanations with such earnestness that no one could find fault with her.
Su Xiaoning felt a little jealous and couldn't help but say, "Miss Feng, please stay away from our young master."
"Why?" Feng Lin raised an eyebrow and suddenly leaned closer to Su Xiaoning.
"How dare you, a mere guard, interfere in your young master's affairs? Are you perhaps jealous that I haven't been more lenient with my mistresses?"
She winked at Su Xiaoning suggestively, and even though Su Xiaoning was a young woman, she was completely captivated by that alluring look.
Feng Jiuming, who was standing to the side, frowned almost imperceptibly. He felt that he had seen this cunning Feng Lin somewhere before, but he couldn't remember where... so he could only remain silent.
Feng Lin hadn't paid any attention to Feng Jiuming at all. Seeing Su Xiaoning looking dazed, she smiled and turned to Su Qingcai: "Young Master Jiang, we've had our fill of exploring Xiuyifang. I've prepared some fine wine and food in my room. Why don't you come and have a taste?"
Su Qingcai frowned, a hint of worry in his heart. He was about to refuse when Feng Lin pulled him away, leaving Su Xiaoning and Feng Jiuming to follow behind.
When they arrived at the house, Feng Lin suddenly reached out and stopped Su Xiaoning and Feng Jiuming.
"While the master is having his meal, you guards can stay outside."
Su Xiaoning and Feng Jiuming stopped in their tracks and looked at Su Qingcai in unison.
Su Qingcai was already quite certain that Feng Lin was up to something, and he wanted to see what she was up to, so he didn't refuse. After giving Su Xiaoning a reassuring look, he went into the room with Feng Lin.
After the two entered the room, Su Xiaoning and Feng Jiuming immediately dropped their serious expressions and pressed their ears against the door, listening intently to the sounds inside.
The sound of pouring wine rang out, and Feng Lin handed over a cup of wine, saying, "Young Master Jiang, please."
Su Qingcai did not accept the wine, and said calmly, "Miss Feng, let's not beat around the bush. You can speak frankly about your purpose."
"A man of integrity? Young Master Jiang has even concealed his identity from me, yet you still want to discuss your purpose with me?" Feng Lin suddenly covered her mouth and giggled. She gently placed her wine glass on the table, a hint of murderous intent flashing in her deep eyes.
"You're not Jiang Lin—right?"
Su Qingcai's heart skipped a beat. He frowned and remained silent.
The charming smile on Feng Lin's face had vanished, replaced by cold indifference: "That handkerchief was just a test. If you hadn't used his name, I probably wouldn't have bothered with you. But things are different now."
"Speak! Who are you? What is your purpose?"
Feng Lin slammed his fist on the table and stood up. At the same time, Su Xiaoning and Feng Jiuming, who were eavesdropping outside the door, were shocked and burst into the room.
"We should ask you what your purpose is!" Su Xiaoning shouted, quickly pulling Su Qingcai over. At the same time, Feng Jiuming moved behind Feng Lin like a ghost in an instant.
The sharp blade pressed against Feng Lin's fair, jade-like neck. She seemed somewhat surprised, clicking her tongue in admiration, "Not bad, you can actually get close to me..."
"Stop talking nonsense! What exactly do you want!" Feng Jiuming frowned and shouted. He didn't know why his hands were trembling involuntarily, as if he couldn't hurt the person in front of him.
Feng Lin didn't notice Feng Jiuming's unusual behavior. She chuckled softly, her voice light and airy.
"I told you, I didn't want to get into trouble if you weren't using his name... Are you trying to hold me hostage? Luckily, I had a backup plan."
A strange smile suddenly appeared on Feng Lin's lips. A moment later, Su Qingcai and Feng Jiuming suddenly went limp and collapsed to the ground.
"Clang."
The dagger fell to the floor with a crisp sound.
Feng Lin touched her neck and yawned lazily. She glanced at the two people lying on the ground, a hint of mockery in her eyes.
"Colorless and odorless cartilage powder, it really works... You're all going to fall into my hands eventually."
