Chapter 43 A Kiss in the Sea

The incident happened suddenly. Su Qingcai was inexplicably stuck in the hull of the boat. He tried his best to escape, but he was still unable to move.

Ding Yi and Bing Er were extremely anxious, trying to pull Su Qingcai out, but they couldn't budge him. Helpless, they could only watch as Su Qingcai gradually lost consciousness because he couldn't breathe after holding his breath underwater for too long.

At this critical moment, Su Xiaoning finally noticed the unusual thing at the bottom of the water.

She had already swum some distance when she sensed something in her mind. She dove underwater and looked back, only to see Su Qingcai and his group.

The situation was critical, and there was no time to investigate how they ended up there. Su Xiaoning quickly swam back to help Ding Yi and Bing Er pull Su Qingcai out.

With the three working together, they finally pulled Su Qingcai out, but because he had held his breath for too long, Su Qingcai's face was deathly pale. He kept his eyes closed and did not react at all, and his body continued to sink.

Su Xiaoning's heart skipped a beat, and a huge wave of panic swept over her.

Seeing the unconscious Su Qingcai, Su Xiaoning gritted her teeth and kissed him directly!

Their soft lips touched, and Su Xiaoning breathed in her mouth with a kiss, pulling Su Qingcai back from the brink of death.

Su Qingcai gradually regained consciousness. He opened his eyes groggily and immediately saw Su Xiaoning's face magnified several times.

He felt a strange sensation on his lips, and his mind went blank for a few seconds before he realized what had happened.

Su Qingcai's eyes gradually darkened, and he subconsciously held Su Xiaoning's head, deepening the kiss.

The two were reluctant to part underwater, and the originally tense atmosphere turned into a tender one.

Su Xiaoning hadn't expected this development. In a panic, she pushed Su Qingcai away, dived to the surface, and grabbed a piece of deck. Su Qingcai, along with Ding Yi and Bing Er, also floated up.

A group of people were bobbing up and down in the waves when suddenly a huge wave crashed over them, knocking them unconscious.

...

When Su Xiaoning woke up, she was lying on a beach.

The rough sand beneath her chafed her face painfully. She tried to get up, but her whole body felt like it was falling apart, and even her internal organs were aching.

"Cough cough..."

Su Xiaoning spat out several mouthfuls of seawater and lay on the ground for a while before getting up after her head felt less dizzy.

She remembered being knocked unconscious by the waves, but now she was in this unknown place, probably washed ashore by the sea. She didn't know where Su Qingcai and the others, who were also knocked unconscious, had been washed away.

Su Xiaoning looked around and, sure enough, saw Su Qingcai lying unconscious on the beach not far away, but Ding Yi and Bing Er were nowhere to be seen.

There was no time to look for anyone else right now. Su Xiaoning was worried that something had happened to Su Qingcai, so she rushed over and checked his breathing. Although Su Qingcai's breathing was weak, he was thankfully still breathing.

Su Xiaoning helped Su Qingcai up and called his name several times, but Su Qingcai did not respond and remained unconscious.

"Oh no, what am I going to do..." Su Xiaoning muttered to herself, on the verge of tears.

She turned her head and glanced at the forest behind her. Thinking that she couldn't just leave him lying there, she simply picked up Su Qingcai and walked into the forest, hoping to find a place to stay.

Although Su Qingcai wasn't fat, he was still a big man, and he felt heavy on Su Xiaoning's slender body.

Su Xiaoning was panting heavily as she walked, cursing all the while.

"You don't look fat at all normally, so how come you weigh as much as a pig when I carry you? I think I'll stop calling you by your name and just call you Dead Pig! I've sacrificed so much for you for nothing, you'll have to make it up to me later..."

Even while cursing, Su Xiaoning didn't forget to look around. She noticed a cave not far away and led Su Qingcai into it.

Su Xiaoning found a clean spot, carefully placed Su Qingcai on the ground, and sat beside him to watch over him.

About fifteen minutes later, Su Qingcai finally woke up.

He felt a tightness in his chest and couldn't help but cough violently, spitting out several mouthfuls of seawater, just like Su Xiaoning.

Hearing the cough, Su Xiaoning rushed over and gently patted Su Qingcai's back to help him catch his breath.

After the dull pain in his chest subsided, Su Qingcai turned to Su Xiaoning and weakly nodded. He took Su Xiaoning's hand and put it down, looking at her concerned eyes, and suddenly the kiss in the sea came to mind for no reason.

A long, lingering kiss, intoxicating to the soul.

Su Qingcai chuckled softly and said in a low voice, "When I was trapped in the sea... what were you thinking?"

Although he didn't say it explicitly, Su Xiaoning quickly realized what he meant, her heart suddenly skipped a beat, and her face flushed.

"In the sea? What did I do in the sea? I didn't do anything, don't overthink it!" Su Xiaoning deliberately pretended to be stupid, not wanting to admit it.

Su Qingcai didn't seem to care, and laughed even more heartily. His gaze was intense, which made Su Xiaoning feel flustered. Despite the awkward situation, she felt some strange emotions.

Just when things were getting awkward, the weather on the island where they had been stranded suddenly changed. A large patch of dark clouds drifted over, accompanied by thunder.

A bolt of lightning struck, causing the trees outside the cave to rustle and casting eerie, ghostly shadows that were quite frightening.

Caught off guard, Su Xiaoning was terrified by the thunder and the ghostly figures. Her mind went blank, and without thinking, she snuggled into Su Qingcai's arms.

Suddenly, a warm body snuggled into her arms. Su Qingcai stiffened for a moment, but quickly relaxed and teased, "I thought you were fearless, but I didn't expect you to be afraid of thunder?"

"Who, who said I'm scared..." Su Xiaoning retorted softly, but she was holding onto Su Qingcai's clothes and refused to let go.

After all, she was a girl. It was impossible for her not to be afraid after being stranded on this deserted island after experiencing such a great storm. Although she had an awkward encounter with Su Qingcai, she could only rely on him for the time being.

Su Qingcai wasn't really mocking Su Xiaoning. He didn't say anything more, just quietly held her.

The two embraced inside the cave, seemingly oblivious to the storms and turmoil outside.

I don't know how much time passed, but suddenly there was a commotion outside the cave.

It wasn't during thunder and rain; it sounded like a person shouting, and it even sounded vaguely familiar.

Su Xiaoning's heart tightened. Remembering the missing Ding Yi and Bing Er, she hurriedly broke free from Su Qingcai's embrace and quietly went outside the cave to investigate the situation.

Upon seeing the scene before her, her eyes widened instantly.

Ding Yi and Bing Er stood back to back, looking tense. They were surrounded by a group of people, all of whom were disheveled and had fierce eyes, as if they wanted to devour them!
