Chapter 252

Chapter 252

Tao Tao showed no intention of resisting. Through her hazy vision, she saw the terrifying sense of aggression and possessiveness in his dark eyes, which made her feel a chill run down her spine.

She smiled sweetly, hooked her legs around his waist, looked at his gloomy and tense face, leaned over and kissed him on the lips.

"Why do you look so pale? This isn't my fault, it's the Emperor's fault."

"Don't you know? What can I do to resist? Or do you expect me to defy the imperial decree all by myself, regardless of the consequences?"

As she spoke, a vulnerable and frightened look appeared on her face. She lowered her head slightly, and the disheveled clothes revealed her fair and slender shoulders, making her even more alluring.

Duan Gan watched her repeat her old trick, sneered repeatedly, pinched her chin with two fingers, and stared intently at her, as if trying to see into her heart.

"His mouth is full of lies, not a single word of his can be trusted."

"If you hadn't provoked the Crown Prince, would he have had those kinds of thoughts?! Are you that impatient? Or do you like him? And you're just playing around with me?"

"I already told you that when I get back from Suizhou, I'll give you everything you want, why won't you listen?! Why do you make me angry? Why do you always have to see him? Why do you stand so close to him? Why do you touch him?!"

Hidden within each question was a burning, suppressed jealousy; he was consumed by envy.

His condescending, superior attitude, as if she were his possession, stirred a resentment within her. The fingers gripping her chin felt like steel, squeezing her painfully.

But she didn't put on a pitiful act anymore. She pursed her lips and remained silent. Her stubborn and obstinate demeanor made Duan Gan's blood boil with anger.

"Why are you silent? Why are you not speaking? Is it really so? Did I just guess right?"

She sneered, lowered her eyes, and refused to look at him, letting him break down to the point of madness. She admitted that she held a grudge against him and would not allow him to show even the slightest bit of superiority in front of her.

"You won't look at...me? What do you mean? Are you afraid I'll see your guilty look? You're so cruel! Tao Tao, you don't love me at all..."

When he spoke his last words, his low, hoarse voice was tinged with a sob, his eyes were red, and he lowered his head to press his forehead against hers, letting her see just how heartbroken he was.

Let her see just how she's tormenting him.

He stared at her cold, emotionless eyes, his eyes filled with hurt. He was in unbearable pain, but she remained like an outsider, frighteningly calm, willing to watch him suffer without offering any help.

"You...you didn't...at all from beginning to end..." His voice was so dry and hoarse that he could barely utter a complete sentence.

Duan Gan frowned, staring at her unmoved expression, his heart aching with pain.

If he can't have her love, then no one else can!

He leaned in and kissed her soft, rosy lips, his kiss fierce and urgent, intense and ruthless. As their lips and teeth intertwined, his canine teeth instantly bit through her thin, red lower lip.

A sharp pain made her instinctively try to pull away, but a large hand grabbed the back of her neck, forcing her to move forward even further.

They drew closer and closer until they were pressed together, with no distance between them.

"Waaah...it hurts...you bastard, be gentle...are you a dog...?"

Even when she begged for mercy, she wouldn't let him off the hook, grabbing his smooth, flowing long hair at the back of his head, the stinging pain on his scalp forcing him to fall backward.

But he wouldn't let her go, his canines biting her soft, red lips, his right hand tightly holding her slender waist, refusing to loosen his grip.

Those misty black eyes gleamed with a determined light, her long, thick eyelashes trembled, and a hot tear dripped onto her burning, flushed cheek.

She was stunned for a moment, and in that instant of distraction, a feeling of weightlessness washed over her, startling her so much that she quickly wrapped her arms around his lean waist.

As if afraid she would fall, he grabbed her buttocks and lifted her up slightly before walking towards the inner room.

He held her close in his arms, and the two of them fell onto the bed, their clothes now in disarray.

Tao Tao, in particular, resembled a shelled clam, its exposed body revealing only its snow-white, smooth flesh.

The girl stared at him timidly and fearfully, biting her lower lip, and said coquettishly, "Si Lang, please be gentle, I'm afraid of pain."

His complete acquiescence instantly made his withered heart pound wildly as if it had been injected with blood.

The man tenderly pecked at her chapped lips, then took her hand in his and intertwined his fingers with hers, their bodies locked in a close embrace.

The room was filled with the mist of rain, and the sound of dripping water could be clearly heard in the quiet environment. It was so humid and stuffy that it was hard to breathe.

A sudden downpour began in the courtyard, lasting until late into the night before gradually subsiding.

On the bed, the girl was held tightly in the man's arms from behind, his chin resting on her neck, one hand intertwined with her fingers, the other hand tightly holding her waist, as if afraid she would escape.

Tao Tao frowned and tried to move, only to find that she couldn't move at all, and her whole body ached terribly, as if it were about to fall apart.

She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, her eyes tightly closed. There were several red scratches on her beautiful face, and even more so on her neck and chest.

She blinked, reached for the porcelain bottle on the pillow, and held it to his nose. After a while, she felt the restraints on her body loosen.

Tao Tao waited for a while longer, and when she found that there was no more movement behind her, she turned around and pushed him away.

She knelt on the bed, gazed at him silently for a long time, touched his eyebrows with her fingertips, and said with a hint of reluctance, "Goodbye."

Without hesitation, she got out of bed, put on some easy-to-move clothes, poured herself a cup of tea at the table, walked to the door, opened it, and called out softly, "Leng Qiao!"

A short while later, a slender figure emerged from the shadows around the corner.

"Miss."

Tao Tao looked at her, then turned to look at the quiet, deserted courtyard and called out, "Leng Chuan, your master wants to see you."

A gust of wind swept by, and a kneeling black figure appeared before her. Leng Chuan stood up, clasped his hands in a respectful gesture, and said, "Miss."

"Have some tea first, then you can go in later."

Leng Chuan looked down at the bland tea and drank it all in one gulp without any warning, while Leng Qiao stood quietly to the side watching everything.

Tao Tao silently counted to three, and seeing that the person in front of her had not fallen, she frowned suspiciously.

"Miss, is that alright..."

Before he could finish speaking, Leng Chuan suddenly collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

Seeing him fall, she breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Put him inside, uh, just put him by the door, no need to go inside."

After Leng Qiao got him inside, she took the bundle Tao Tao took out from inside, closed the door, and the two disappeared into the rainy night together.
