Chapter 154 Dog Thing

Chapter 154 Dog Thing

His right hand, with its distinct knuckles and prominent veins, brazenly reached under her skirt.

Before long, her face stiffened, her whole body trembled, she buried her head deeply in his chest, bit her lower lip tightly, her cheeks flushed, and a hint of spring in her eyes.

In her twenty years of life, she had never felt so ashamed and indignant as she did at this moment.

She couldn't help but burst into tears, cursing him as she cried.

"You're insane! You're insane... a pervert! Duan Gan, you pervert! You're sick... a bastard..."

He silently vowed to himself, "Duan Gan! You wait, one day I'll make you kneel down and beg me!"

Hearing her scold him, he actually chuckled softly, his voice filled with tender affection.

Duan Gan slightly rose, placed his blood-stained lips on her soft lips, gently biting and teasing them, his dark eyes fixed on her tear-filled amber pupils.

A sentence was pieced together from the sticky, lingering voice.

"Little Peach, you really deserve it. Since you provoked me, you should suffer the consequences..."

In the stillness of the night, a ray of moonlight shone through the window, rolling onto the ground like a warm, delicate pearl.

On the outer wall of the room, the candlelight flickered without wind, its dim yellow light swaying and trembling. The overlapping shadows cast by the candlelight completely enveloped the petite figure below, with only the toes of the figure fluttering slightly at the side.

Occasionally, the sounds of a woman crying and cursing could be heard, along with a man's malicious chuckles.

"Was I wrong? Hmm?"

The man lowered his eyes and gazed quietly at the delicate face covered in tears, his burning gaze falling on her bare skin marked with red marks.

He withdrew his hand from under her skirt, his fingertips glistening with moisture in the moonlight, and touched her red, cracked lips before bending down to kiss and lick them.

She seemed to have cried herself to exhaustion, leaning against his arm with her eyes closed, transparent teardrops trembling on her eyelashes.

In the tranquil setting, a faint, helpless sigh seemed to escape into the deserted corner.

Duan Gan held her close, lifted her up in his arms, grabbed his coat from the corner of the table, draped it over her, and then covered her with his own coat.

So airtight, not even the toes of their feet were exposed.

With a creak, the door opened, and he carried her out. There was a faint, glistening water stain on the dark tabletop.

The person standing outside the door had long since disappeared, leaving only withered yellow leaves.

He walked around the corridor and stopped in front of a door. He pushed the door open, then hooked it with his toe and closed it again.

Suddenly, as if remembering something, he went to get gauze and medicine and re-bandaged her wound.

He placed her on the bed, gently covered her with a blanket, sat on the edge of the bed, took her hand and examined it, then slipped his fingers between hers, interlocking their fingers.

After a while, he affectionately placed it on his lips and kissed it, full of fondness and tenderness.

As dawn approached, the sound of footsteps began to be heard outside the door.

He leaned against the headboard, his brows furrowed slightly, his eyes wide open and clear, showing no sign of sleepiness. His gentle gaze fell on the sleeping woman, and his brows instantly relaxed.

Duan Gan slowly loosened his grip on Duan Gan's hands, stood up, and straightened his clothes.

He leaned down, his cool lips landing on her smooth forehead, and gently kissed her. Then he stood up, reached out to lower the curtains on both sides, pushed open the door, and went out.

Fifteen minutes later, the girl on the bed slowly opened her eyes, her slightly red eyes filled with cold anger.

She didn't sleep all night, fearing he might do something, but thankfully he didn't go all the way.

Tao Tao sat up, straightened her clothes, stood in front of the door, and listened carefully to the sounds outside. She noticed a faint breathing sound.

She opened the door, lifted her skirt, and went out.

Rong'er and Leng Qiao stood not far from the door, Rong'er was still leaning against the pillar and dozing off.

Sensing the movement, Leng Qiao turned her head and looked down at the blood-stained, broken lips, as well as her slightly disheveled clothes and hair.

She hurried forward. "Miss, where are you going?"

Tao Tao took a deep breath and said coldly, "Go back, and don't tell anyone."

As soon as she finished speaking, she hurriedly walked outside.

Leng Qiao quickly woke up the sleeping Rong'er. Rong'er was startled and saw that the person was almost gone, so she hurriedly chased after him.

Back at the Prince's residence, she remained in her room, still shaken. After relaxing, she unconsciously fell asleep.

I was woken up by someone making noise.

Rong'er stood at the door, knocked, and asked cautiously, "Miss, are you awake?"

"Come in."

Hearing the sounds coming from inside, she pushed open the door, and the maids behind her filed in.

When Rong'er saw her get out of bed, she hurriedly went to serve her, helping her to get dressed while whispering, "Miss, someone from the palace has arrived and is waiting for you to go to the palace."

Tao Tao turned to look at her in surprise, "What palace? How come I didn't know I was supposed to enter the palace?"

"I heard it was Zhi'er, the head maid of the Empress. The young master said it was sent over after you left yesterday."

"Oh! Miss, your neck..."

Rong'er pointed in alarm at the bloody teeth marks on her snow-white neck. The person who bit her had bitten her hard, and even her white undergarment was stained with blood.

Tao Tao couldn't see because she looked down, so she leaned closer to the bronze mirror and gently touched it with her fingertip. By then, a scab had formed.

But it still looks rather shocking.

She couldn't help but mutter "that bastard" under her breath.

"It's alright, just apply some medicine and change into a shirt with a higher collar."

"Yes, Miss."

Rong'er went to get the medicine and gauze, and lifted her inner garment to change the dressing on her wound, but found that the gauze seemed to be new.

She frowned in confusion, wondering why the wound had been re-bandaged, but the young lady's neck hadn't been treated.

Tao Tao noticed her unusual expression in the mirror and couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"

Rong'er quickly shook her head: "It's alright, Miss." She told herself not to overthink it.

She changed Tao Tao's dressing herself, while the other maids were responsible for combing her hair and applying makeup.

Tao Tao thought of the people still waiting outside and wondered if the Empress had recognized her.

That night, she kept her head down, trying her best to hide her face. With so many people at the banquet, she shouldn't have been recognized.

What does it mean to specifically ask to see her by name now? Could it be related to the Crown Prince? After all, the Crown Prince carried her into the Eastern Palace back then.

However, the Crown Prince was implicated and imprisoned in the dungeon. Perhaps the Empress believed that she was the one who saved the Emperor, and might be planning to use this life-saving grace to rescue the Crown Prince.

While she was pondering, the maids had already finished her hair and makeup.

Tao Tao looked up at herself in the bronze mirror, and then applied some lip rouge to make the marks on her lips less noticeable.

She tugged at her collar again, just to make sure nothing was showing.

"Let's go."

She got up and went to the hall. Murong Huai Shi and Murong Yan were there, and it seemed they were going to go with her.
