Chapter 11 Let Me Bite Back

Seeing that he was awake, Su Ping stopped giving him water and put the cup on the table.

Tu Hengchuan cautiously surveyed his surroundings, finally fixing his gaze on the woman in front of him.

It's her.

The thought that she had slapped him made Tu Hengchuan's face turn somewhat ugly, but she had indeed saved him.

In an instant, a variety of expressions appeared on his face, like a color palette.

"Go take a shower as soon as you wake up. The bathroom is upstairs." Su Ping looked at Tu Hengchuan, whose clothes were all wrinkled, with some disgust, and threw the clothes she had taken out of her cheap old man's closet at him.

The effects of the medicine hadn't completely worn off yet. Tu Hengchuan nodded and dragged his feet upstairs.

After seeing him go into the bathroom, Su Ping also took her toiletries and went to the other bathroom.

[Ding! The corruption value of the target character Tu Hengchuan has decreased by 10%! The current total corruption value is 23%!]

Su Ping had just taken a bath when she heard the Calabash Brothers' announcement.

What happened? Why did it suddenly drop so much?

When she came out of the bath, she found Tu Hengchuan leaning against the wall with his back to her, seemingly lost in thought.

Hearing the door open, he turned around and looked over.

"Shall we chat?"

The two walked onto the balcony. Behind the villa was a large lake. A gentle evening breeze carried the faint scent of gardenias, making it not feel stuffy at all.

Tu Hengchuan made no attempt to conceal his gaze as he looked at Su Ping sitting opposite him. Su Ping had striking features, and her eyes, with their slightly upturned corners, resembled hooks, making one want to explore them.

Finally, his gaze fell on Su Ping's lips.

His lips were full and bright red, with a noticeable cut on the lower right side—that was from a bite.

[Huluwa, his gaze is terrifying. Could he have taken a liking to me?]

Su Ping remained outwardly calm, but inwardly he was frantically calling for the Calabash Brothers.

[Don't worry, host. He was kidnapped by a mentally ill woman when he was a child, which made him deeply repulsed by any woman who gets close to him, especially beautiful women.]

Is this even possible?

Su Ping was a little surprised. Just as she was about to gossip, she heard him speak.

“We probably haven’t met.” Tu Hengchuan concluded, then voiced the question that had been bothering him.

How did you know I would be drugged tonight?

Oh no! I was so focused on preventing him from meeting the female lead that I didn't even think about how to explain why I was there after saving him.

Just as Su Ping was looking down, trying to find the right words, the warning voice of the Calabash Brothers rang out.

[Host, he's starting to suspect you and his agent are working together. Please provide a reasonable explanation!]

Tu Hengchuan stretched out his fingers and tapped the table in front of him intermittently. Compared to him, Su Ping felt like a mouse with its tail held down by a cat.

Someone please save her!

“I…” Su Ping took a deep breath, “I’m your obsessive fan!”

"What?"

This time it was Tu Hengchuan's turn to be stunned. Obsessive fans have always been a headache for celebrities, and this was the first time he had ever seen someone so openly admit to being an obsessive fan.

"I've liked you ever since your first web series, so I followed your agent to find out where you were, but I ended up finding out that old woman was trying to scheme against you!"

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. My motto is: Go crazy for Brother Chuan, be wild for Brother Chuan, and bang my head against the wall for Brother Chuan!"

...

The air suddenly became very quiet. Su Ping blinked and met his gaze.

She always believed that as long as she wasn't embarrassed, it was others who would be embarrassed!

"Oh? What's my birthday?"

Su Ping was stunned; she really didn't know that.

But she has the Calabash Brothers!

Tu Hengchuan asked several questions in a row, and Su Ping answered them all fluently. She even knew information that he had not released to the public.

But is she really her own sasaeng fan?

Keep asking, why did you stop?

"Huluwa, you didn't trick me, did you?"

[Don't worry, host, he believes you.]

"You look younger than me, you must still be in school, right?"

After struggling for a long time, Tu Hengchuan could only manage to utter this one sentence.

Su Ping nodded, and then heard him continue, "Thank you very much for tonight, but you should focus on your studies now."

If Su Ping hadn't known the plot beforehand, she wouldn't have known this person was so hypocritical.

When the female lead saved him, he granted her a wish, which she now wishes to prioritize her studies.

Haha, men.

"You bit and nibbled at me, I lost my first kiss and my lips were even bruised, and all you said was thank you?"

Tu Hengchuan looked into her eyes and seemed to understand the saying—sad eyes are like a fog in Berlin.

"Then what do you want?"

Su Ping had been waiting for these words. She stood up, walked towards him, and leaned down: "Let me bite you back."

When she got closer, Su Ping noticed a mole at the corner of Tu Hengchuan's eye. It was a light-colored mole that wouldn't be noticed unless you looked closely.

How to bite? It goes without saying.

Tu Hengchuan's expression was rather unpleasant; he couldn't believe a girl could say such a thing.

Just as he closed his eyes, ready to say yes, Su Ping stepped back.

"Never mind, I don't like forcing others."

[Host, you did this on purpose, didn't you?]

Tu Hengchuan opened his eyes and just in time to see the mischievous glint in Su Ping's eyes that she hadn't had time to retract.

She did it on purpose.

Su Ping grunted and settled for second best.

"Why don't you give me your earring? I'll keep it as a souvenir."

As soon as he finished speaking, Tu Hengchuan's face became even more unpleasant than before.

"Ear drills are out of the question, don't even think about it." The attitude was firm and beyond question.

"You stingy person."

Although that's what she said, Su Ping knew the importance of that earring in Tu Hengchuan's heart.

His mother was a famous designer. She died in a car accident when he was eight years old, on her way back to celebrate his birthday. She left behind only a pair of earrings.

So the earring became his only connection with his mother and also his emotional support.

There was another earring. His mother had told him before designing the earrings that if he ever met a girl he wanted to marry, he should give her the other one.

To him, she was just a stalker fan with ulterior motives, and naturally unworthy of that sacred earring.

"Choose another one." Realizing that his attitude had been a bit too harsh, Tu Hengchuan softened his tone.

Su Ping yawned, feeling sleepy, and lost the desire to tease him.

"I'll let you know when I think of something. If it's inconvenient for you to go back tonight, you can sleep here. The guest room is over there, and the sheets inside are brand new."

After Su Ping finished speaking, she ignored him and passed by Tu Hengchuan. Just then, a gust of wind blew by, and the scent of gardenias seemed to be even stronger than before.

It smells quite nice.

Tu Hengchuan watched her retreating figure, belatedly realizing that there were no gardenias in this season.

Song Yifei returned home around 1 a.m. and found, unusually, that the light in her younger brother's room was still on.
