Although he was handsome, Su Ping didn't want to get into trouble, so he prepared to get up and leave after seeing the man being pushed back.
But the doctor who walked in afterward stopped him.
"The patient is fine. We've checked him and there are no wounds on his body. As for the blood on his clothes, we'll probably only know when he wakes up."
Su Ping patiently listened to him finish speaking. Just as she was about to make an excuse to leave, she heard the doctor continue, "But we found another element in his blood. We don't know exactly what it is, but it was probably injected into him."
Then it's even more unacceptable to keep it.
But the doctor was a chatterbox and kept her talking for twenty minutes before letting her go when the phone rang.
Su Ping felt a gaze fall on her and subconsciously turned around to look. She found that the man who should have been lying on the hospital bed had woken up and gotten out of bed at some point, and was standing less than half a meter behind her.
"You...you're awake?"
I don't know why, but I felt a little awkward being stared at by him.
The man blinked, about to speak, when Su Ping quickly interrupted him.
"No need to thank me. I'd step on an ant if I saw it on the street. I didn't save you on purpose. And don't ask my name if you want to repay me. My code name is Lei Feng!"
After Su Ping finished speaking, she prepared to slip away, but the man behind her quickly grabbed her hand: "Sister."
What?
Su Ping looked at the man in front of her who was clearly older than her and wondered if she had misheard.
The man's double eyelids were very obvious, and when he looked down at her, his eyelids drooped slightly, making his eyebrows and eyes appear even more deep-set.
"elder sister."
Seeing that she didn't respond, the man called out again, feeling somewhat aggrieved.
Su Ping quickly pushed his hand away and took three steps back: "You can't call me that, brother, I don't know you!"
After saying that, she turned and left, only to find that a tail was following her the whole time.
Why are you following me?
Su Ping stopped, looked up, and frowned at the man in front of her.
This man must be almost 1.9 meters tall, but that height combined with his pitiful face creates a somewhat incongruous feeling.
Su Ping finally realized something was wrong; this man seemed to have lost his mind, looking at her with a childlike innocence.
Seeing the unhappy expression on her face, the man walked over and tugged at her little finger: "Sister, I won't run around anymore, please don't be angry, okay?"
Passersby watched this scene with curious and inquiring eyes. Is this how young people play nowadays?
Su Ping felt a sudden darkness before her eyes and quickly led him back to the ward, pressing the call button by the bedside.
About ten seconds later, the nurse pushed open the door and came in.
Su Ping waved to her: "His brain seems to be damaged. Could you please call a doctor to take a look?"
Upon hearing this, the man who was sitting obediently on the bed glared at Su Ping unhappily: "Sister, I'm very smart. Look, I can even unlock your combination lock."
Su Ping looked at the unlocked phone that was being held out in front of her, then immediately felt her pockets and found them empty.
This person's movements are so practiced, it doesn't seem like a first-time offender, and she didn't notice anything at all. Could she be a professional thief?
When the man saw that Su Ping not only didn't praise him, but instead snatched the phone away, his eyes immediately filled with tears, wondering what he had done wrong.
The doctor arrived quickly, and after seeing the man who had regained consciousness, he was stunned for a moment, staring at him blankly.
The man hid behind Su Ping, and said somewhat fearfully, "This person looks so fierce. I don't like him. Sister, can you please make him leave?"
Suddenly, the nurses gave her strange looks. Feeling a little embarrassed, Su Ping pulled out the man hiding behind her.
"I really don't know him. He seems to be mentally unstable. Doctor, please examine him."
When the nurse took him for a check-up, Su Ping had a lot of effort to pry open his hand that was holding hers.
"Sweetie, go with the nurse. I'll wait for you here."
Su Ping's tone of voice unconsciously became coaxing as she spoke to him, as if, apart from his physical body, his mind and speech were like those of a six or seven-year-old child.
Half an hour later, the man walked in behind the nurse, holding a lollipop.
"Sister, here you go."
The man presented the only lollipop in his hand to Su Ping as if it were a precious treasure.
Su Ping reluctantly accepted it, and then saw the doctor walk in with the X-ray films.
Originally, the doctor wanted to call Su Ping to his office for a private talk, but after seeing the man who was always by her side and the hostility in his eyes, he simply took out the X-ray report from the ward.
Anyway, he's just a person with the mental capacity of a six or seven-year-old, what could he possibly understand?
“His test results were normal, so we suspect the problem lies in the abnormal components in his blood. It’s possible that he was injected with that drug, which is why he is like this now.”
When will it be back to normal?
Su Ping looked at the man beside her and felt a headache coming on.
The doctor shook his head: "It's hard to say. It could be a few days, or it could be a few years or even a long time."
After listening, Su Ping turned to the man beside her and said, "I'm not your sister. You should get some sleep here. You might remember who you are tomorrow, and then we can pretend we never met, okay?"
The man tilted his head and corrected her seriously, "But you are the older sister."
It feels like playing the lute to a cow.
Su Ping gave up on communicating with him and turned to go downstairs.
She discovered that no matter how fast she went, the man behind her always kept the same distance. Every time he tried to reach out and grab her, he would shrink back as if afraid of being abandoned, and this cycle repeated itself.
Finally, having no other choice, Su Ping took him home, intending to stimulate him to see if she could awaken his memories.
Uncle Feng was sitting in the car, having just finished playing Candy Crush, when he saw Su Ping open the car door and get in, followed by a tall man.
He looks familiar; it seems like he's the one who hit him.
"You're not dead?"
Uncle Feng saw that his expression was normal, and apart from being overly attached to Su Ping, he did not show any other abnormal behavior.
Well, except for that look in his eyes, which was clear yet intelligent.
Seeing him staring at him, the man smiled shyly and then hid behind Su Ping.
Su Ping felt uncomfortable and tried to push him away, but he held her even tighter.
"No, you can't. I'm a girl and you're a boy. Only boyfriends and girlfriends can do this."
The man looked at her and said seriously, "Then, can you become my girlfriend, sister?"
