After leaving the hospital, Su Ping found a good noodle shop on Dianping (a Chinese review platform) and drove there directly.
It wasn't lunchtime yet, so there weren't many people. The waiter led the two of them up to the second floor.
"What would you like to eat?"
Su Ping handed the menu to Tie Niu across from her and noticed that he seemed a little reserved, glancing at her nervously as if he rarely faced so many people.
What are you afraid of?
Su Ping asked what was on her mind, and noticed that Tie Niu paused for a moment, then shook his head blankly.
He didn't know either; it seemed like an instinctive reaction. He didn't know why he found himself in an unfamiliar environment the moment he opened his eyes. The people and things around him made him uneasy, but thankfully his sister was there...
But the older sister in front of him seemed a little different from the silent sister he remembered…
His head started to hurt again, and Tie Niu rubbed his temples, trying to suppress the pain.
Seeing that he didn't seem to be feeling well, Su Ping took the menu and asked him, "Do you have any dietary restrictions?"
Tie Niu subconsciously shook his head. Su Ping ordered two bowls of beef noodles and then asked the waiter for a power bank.
The phone turned on automatically as soon as I plugged it in to charge.
Su Ping looked at the dozens of missed calls and WeChat pop-up notifications that appeared at the top of the screen. They were all from Tu Hengchuan. He couldn't find her and asked where she was.
Su Ping didn't reply, then saw an unread message from Shen Jiayu.
He only saw the picture she sent him after he had some free time, and sent a question mark to ask what it was.
Su Ping tapped the screen: "That day I went for a walk with Lele, and it ran into a villa near your house and dug out this box in the garden."
Su Ping's implication was quite clear, and Shen Jiayu quickly realized whose it was.
She watched the screen continuously showing the other person typing, and after about a minute, she calmed down.
Shen Jiayu did not send any more messages.
Seeing that she was holding her phone and no longer paying attention to him, Tie Niu on the other end of the line started playing with his fingers, looking somewhat unhappy.
Is that old, beat-up phone really that good-looking? He thinks he looks better, so why does his sister like looking at it but not at him?
Tu Ling was surprised to see familiar faces here. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the two people sitting by the window in disbelief.
Shi Xu, who was walking next to her, saw her suddenly stop and couldn't help but follow her gaze. He saw a man with an extraordinary air about him wearing a black T-shirt.
He suddenly felt a little uncomfortable and couldn't help but step forward and put his arm around her waist to remind her that she was now taken and how could she look at other men in front of him?
Tu Ling knew his jealousy had overflowed, so she couldn't help but reach out and hook his neck so he could see the woman sitting opposite that man.
Shi Xu then noticed Su Ping, blinking somewhat embarrassedly, realizing that he had indeed misunderstood.
"Pingping, what a coincidence! Would you mind sharing a table?"
Hearing someone call her name, Su Ping looked up and saw Tu Ling and Shi Xu walking towards her up the stairs.
Her first reaction was to look at Tie Niu sitting opposite her, only to find him looking at her with an innocent expression. This made Su Ping swallow the words she was about to say to him to stand up and pretend he didn't know her.
At this moment, Tu Ling had arrived. Shi Xu pulled out the stool to Su Ping's left for her to sit down, while he walked to the stool by the window and sat down himself.
Why is the atmosphere inexplicably a little awkward?
Seeing Tu Ling looking at him and Tie Niu with a gossipy expression, he winked at her.
"Sister Tu Ling, are you coming this way?"
Because it's near the mountains, this place is quite remote, not the kind of place Tu Ling would know about.
Tu Ling rested her chin on her hand; her fair skin contrasted sharply with the color of the table, creating a striking visual impact.
"Ah Xu said this restaurant is good. He's been talking to me about it for ages and wants me to come eat here with him. I want to see how delicious it is."
Hearing her words, Shi Xu looked at her with a hint of indulgence, smiled, and remained silent.
Tu Ling changed the subject and leaned over to ask in a voice that everyone could hear, "Not bad, this handsome guy is much more pleasing to the eye than my brat."
Su Ping coughed lightly and explained, "No, we're not like that. He's just my family's bodyguard."
To everyone's surprise, Tu Ling's smile deepened after hearing this, and he patted Su Ping on the shoulder: "You young people really know how to have fun. I get it, I get it."
What do you know?
Looking into her eyes, Su Ping felt that she had misunderstood something.
But Tu Ling didn't give her a chance to explain again and called the waiter to order something.
"Pingping, what are you eating?"
"Their signature dish is beef noodles."
Upon hearing this, Tu Ling handed the menu to the waiter and said with a smile, "Then we'll have the same one as them."
After the waiter took the menu and left, Su Ping and her group's noodles were served first. The aroma was incredibly appetizing, and after taking a bite, Su Ping found it to be quite delicious.
But Tu Ling's gaze was too blatant, and Su Ping felt as if she had been stripped naked and was standing in front of her.
On the other hand, Tie Niu across the street was happily eating without any distractions.
"Pingping, my rascal asked me for your WeChat last time, did you agree?"
Su Ping had a mouthful of noodles in her mouth, unsure whether to swallow or spit it out, when she heard Tu Ling continue, "If you ask me, we're better off without a man who doesn't cherish you. There are plenty of good men in the world, like the one in front of you. I find him much more pleasing to the eye than that kid Tu Hengchuan."
The most damaging comment came from the official source: this is undoubtedly the older sister's criticism.
Seeing that she really misunderstood, Su Ping was too lazy to explain and simply smiled and nodded in agreement.
Just then, Tu Ling took out her phone and typed, "No way, I have to send him a message to make that brat angry. I never thought he'd get what's coming to him..."
Su Ping's heart leaped into her throat; this was unacceptable!
Then I saw Shi Xu reach out and take her phone from the other side, placing it on the table.
"Alright, alright, let's not get involved anymore. The noodles are here, let's eat."
After finishing the noodles, Tu Ling grabbed Su Ping, who was trying to slip away.
"Pingping, we finally managed to see each other once, and you're just leaving like this?"
Half an hour later, Su Ping looked at the row of cars in front of her and realized she had lost her mind to agree to accompany Tu Ling to watch Lin Hejing and the others race.
Lin Hejing's eyes lit up when he saw Su Ping, and he waved to her from afar: "Little sister, are you here to cheer for your brother?"
"That's enough. Pingping only came because of me. Stop patting yourself on the back."
Lin Hejing ignored Tu Ling's words and then looked at Tie Niu, who had been following behind Su Ping without saying a word. After looking at him uncertainly for a few seconds, she shook her head.
"Hey sis, is this your new boyfriend? He looks kind of familiar, like I've seen him somewhere before."
