Su Ping and Lu Zhiyan drank quite a bit, and eventually, they passed out from drinking.
All I remember is the malicious look in Li Moyu's eyes before she put me and Lu Zhiyan in the car.
Su Ping woke up thirsty in the middle of the night.
When I got up to get a drink of water, I realized something was wrong with the house.
Why is she back at the Lu residence again?
So that's what Li Moyu's gaze meant back then.
They sent her directly to Lu Zhiyan's house.
The room felt stuffy, so she wanted to open the window to let in some fresh air.
As a result, the red string on my wrist got caught on a window ornament and floated down, swaying gently.
Below is a flower bed; it must have fallen into that.
I got the red string from the temple last time, and I've had a lot of good luck wearing it these past few days.
Su Ping recalled that she had developed a fever after staying here last time, so this house must have some mystical aspects to it.
She planned to go downstairs and retrieve the red rope, fearing it would be swept away by the servants at dawn.
It was already late at night, and it was cool and quiet outside.
Thinking of the woman in the cheongsam she saw on the first floor last time, Su Ping couldn't help but shudder.
It's already 1:30 AM on my phone.
She should be asleep by now, right?
Because it was so quiet, even the slightest sound was amplified infinitely.
Su Ping didn't know why she was walking so cautiously.
Just as she reached the last step, she suddenly heard a noise behind her.
Suddenly, she felt her hair stand on end.
[Host, what are you afraid of?]
After the Calabash Brothers' voice rang out, she was indeed less afraid.
Anyway, she was just a wandering soul before she came here. At worst, she could just greet her fellow travelers. What was there to be afraid of?
Before Su Ping could look behind her, she caught a glimpse of a black shadow flash by out of the corner of her eye.
A black cat jumped down from behind her and rubbed against her feet with elegant cat-like steps.
Su Ping squatted down and stroked its head. The black cat stretched, closed its eyes comfortably, and made purring sounds in its throat.
Su Ping remembered her business, patted its little head, and walked outside.
Seeing this, the black cat behind them meowed and followed.
She looked up at the window and finally stopped near the flowerbed.
With the flowers and foliage so dense, it's quite difficult to find the red rope that fell in.
Su Ping turned on her phone's flashlight and bent down to search among the branches and leaves.
I searched everywhere but couldn't find it.
Did it fall to the ground through the gap?
Thinking of this possibility, Su Ping squatted down and indeed saw the red stain in the soil.
She reached out to grab it, but couldn't reach it at all.
Just as she was thinking about whether to use something to hook it out, the black cat following behind her darted into the flower bushes.
Su Ping assumed it had just seen a mouse and didn't pay any attention, but the next second she saw it nimbly bite its red rope.
Is this even possible?
Su Ping was so excited that she quickly squatted down and gently reached out her hand to it.
"Mimi, come here~"
The black cat glanced at her hesitantly, then carried the red rope in its mouth and walked to the other side.
Su Ping was left standing frozen in the wind, her face like stone.
No, has this cat become a spirit?
Su Ping quickly got up and went to chase after him.
In the darkness, the black cat's shadow moved like a ghost through the corridor.
It was as if he was teasing her; every time he ran a certain distance, he would turn back to see if she was catching up.
Su Ping cursed under her breath.
You heartless little thing, I should never have touched it!
I don't know how long they chased it, but finally the black cat ran into a locked door.
The door was covered with intricate patterns and various talismans.
It looks pretty creepy.
Su Ping searched around but couldn't find anywhere else to go besides the main gate.
But now the door is locked, and she can't get in without the key.
Undeterred, Su Ping knocked on the door again, hoping to get the cat's attention.
After knocking for a while, she realized something was wrong.
In the middle of the night, she knocked on the door of this place covered with talismans, and something felt off.
The wooden door was secured with an iron chain. Su Ping tried pushing it and found that she could open it a crack.
She quickly shone her flashlight through the crack in the door, trying to lure the cat over.
The black cat did indeed come out of there.
Su Ping quickly called to it, "Mimi, come here quickly!"
Hearing the sound, the black cat ran over and stretched out its head, wanting Su Ping to pet it.
The door gap was small; Su Ping couldn't even fit a finger through it.
Su Ping could only point at its head and question it.
"Where did you take my red string? Bring it back to me right now!"
Looking at the cat's head so close to her, she was filled with hatred.
But she couldn't hit it.
The black cat meowed once and then ran away warily.
Just as Su Ping was planning to go back tomorrow to see if Lu Zhiyan could help open the door so she could go in and find the red rope, she saw the black cat return.
This little thing is quite good at playing hard to get.
No, there's someone following behind it.
That must be a person, right?
Su Ping swallowed hard, looking at the person whose body was mostly hidden in the shadows.
She suddenly remembered the talisman pasted on the door. Could there be something unclean locked inside?
Su Ping tried shining her phone's flashlight up the crack in the door.
All that could be seen was a section of black trouser leg.
If it has feet, then it must be a person.
Who's there?
Su Ping asked a question, and the man walked out after hearing her voice.
