Chapter 175: Anyone would believe she came back from wilderness survival.

The man was tall and appeared to be a male.

As if sensing something, the person looked up.

Su Ping hated that there was no moonlight tonight; she couldn't see the man's face at all.

Just as she was about to get a closer look, she slipped and fell from the tree, startling her so much that she quickly reached out and grabbed the trunk.

My whole body was swaying in the air like a swing.

The feeling of weightlessness made her cry out. This tree was two or three meters tall; if she fell, she would be crippled or at least break a leg.

Upon hearing her voice, the man instinctively took two steps toward her, but the high wall and iron fence in front of him prevented him from getting through.

The black cat climbed onto the roof, looked at Su Ping swaying in the air, and meowed.

Her hands gradually started to ache, and she knew she wouldn't be able to hold on any longer and would fall.

Su Ping looked at the tree trunk half a meter away, gritted her teeth, and swung towards it.

We have no choice but to take a gamble.

Su Ping seized the opportunity, let go of the tree trunk, and jumped to the other side of the tree trunk.

My heart was pounding with fear, but thankfully I didn't fall.

When I looked back into the courtyard, the person was gone.

Su Ping was certain that she hadn't misread it; there had definitely been a person standing there just now.

[Host, take a look at the pillar.]

Su Ping looked over and indeed saw the person struggling to climb up the pillar, probably trying to climb onto the roof beam, jump onto the wall, and then jump down.

The pillars were specially polished and made very slippery; the man slipped down after climbing them several times.

But the man did not give up and persevered in climbing.

Su Ping looked at him, feeling a strange, indescribable feeling.

Did he only think of crawling out to save himself after hearing his own screams?

Just then, a clap of thunder sounded in the sky, and in the flash of lightning, Su Ping could barely make out the face.

It is the long-lost Iron Ox.

Although she had already guessed it, Su Ping still had a strange feeling when she saw him again.

So, was he taken back and locked up here by the Lu family that time?

Lu Zhiyan was unaware of his existence, but his mother and the deaf-mute servants knew. Why did Lu's mother claim to the outside world that only Lu Zhiyan survived out of the twins from back then?

Su Ping kicked the tree trunk, and the rustling sound of the leaves caught Tie Niu's attention.

"Stop climbing, I'll find a way to get you out."

After Su Ping finished speaking and made sure Tie Niu had heard her, she climbed down from the tree.

Under the tree, Su Ping finally found her high heels.

The courtyard was surrounded by high walls, and the only way to rescue Tie Niu was to open that door.

When she reached the door, she realized she was in a disheveled state.

The black veil on her dress was torn by tree branches, she was covered in mud, and her hair, which she had spent two hours styling, was a complete mess.

You'd believe she'd just come back from the wilderness.

The people inside had already noticed her, and they were all shocked, unable to reconcile her with her previous noble image.

The commotion was quite loud. Lu Zhiyan, holding a glass of champagne, looked up and stared at her for a second before recognizing her.

He immediately put down the cup and strode towards her.

What's going on here?

Lu Zhiyan looked at her in disbelief. Didn't she say she was going to clean her skirt?

How did I end up looking like this?

Su Ping's eyes reddened, and she stepped forward to hug his waist, wiping the mud off her face and hands onto his body.

"I had just walked halfway when a black cat suddenly jumped out from somewhere. I was so startled that I fell into the flower bushes next to me."

The thought of her, all dirty and leaning against him, made Lu Zhiyan's face darken.

He reached out and grabbed her waist, trying to pull her out, but he couldn't budge her an inch.

But everyone's eyes were on them, so Lu Zhiyan could only maintain a fake smile.

"Let go of me first."

Su Ping shook her head and wiped the mud off her face even more thoroughly.

"If I don't let go, I'll be so embarrassed, with so many people watching me."

Lu Zhiyan was so angry she almost laughed.

So she dragged me into this embarrassing situation with her?

The two were at an impasse when Lu's mother coughed, walked over, and patted Lu Zhiyan on the shoulder.

"What are you standing here for? Hurry up and take Pingping upstairs to wash up and change her clothes."

Lu Zhiyan felt bad after being scolded for no reason.

Enraged, he simply picked Su Ping up and carried her upstairs.

Su Ping nearly hit the handrail with her head down.

She quickly reached out and hugged Lu Zhiyan's neck.

The sight of the two being affectionate diminished the strange looks from onlookers, who instead praised them as a perfect match.

Upon hearing these words, Lu Zhiyan was so angry that he slipped and almost dropped Su Ping to the ground.

Su Ping grabbed his neck tightly, as if she wanted to fall down together.

After going upstairs, Lu Zhiyan quickly opened Su Ping's door. Just as he was about to put her down, he heard her say, "I don't have any clean clothes in my room. Can you take me to your aunt's room?"

Lu Zhiyan snorted, not thinking much of it, and carried Su Ping straight to his mother's room.

After putting her down, he looked at the dirt all over his white suit and went back to his room with a disgusted expression.

Su Ping breathed a sigh of relief when she saw him leave on his own.

She was still trying to think of an excuse to get him out of the way.

Lu's mother is a Buddhist and has been sleeping in separate rooms from Lu's father for many years.

It's more like a meditation room than a bedroom.

Behind the screen stood a Buddha statue, with fresh fruit laid out in front of it. On the floor was a prayer cushion for kneeling and chanting.

Su Ping quickly took a shower, put on a piece of clothing that her mother had kept at the bottom of her trunk, and then carefully searched through the room.

But I searched for a long time and still couldn't find it. The room is only so big, so why isn't it there?

Isn't it here?

Su Ping glanced around somewhat dejectedly and found that she had searched almost all the places she could.

I can't stay in the room for too long, otherwise Lu Zhiyan will become suspicious.

Just then, footsteps sounded outside the door.

Su Ping held her breath as she heard Lu Zhiyan knocking on the door from outside.

"Are you done? Mother is calling us downstairs for cake."

After knocking twice without receiving a response, Lu Zhiyan frowned. As she hesitated whether to go in, she heard Su Ping's somewhat embarrassed voice from inside.

"Wait a few more minutes! I'm getting dressed..."

Most of Lu's mother's clothes were cheongsams, and Lu Zhiyan couldn't help but picture Su Ping wearing a cheongsam in his mind.

She has a great figure, with a shapely and exquisite physique; she would look very beautiful in a cheongsam.

As I thought about it, my face suddenly felt hot.

Inside the room, Su Ping was extremely anxious, but she couldn't make too much noise, so she could only search secretly.

She even turned on her flashlight and shone it under the bed, but still found nothing.

Is it really not here?

Thinking of Tie Niu, who was still imprisoned there, Su Ping sighed and was about to give up the search for him when...

The voice of the Calabash Brothers rang out.
