Su Ping had just finished eating and was lying on the steps sunbathing when she suddenly heard the sound of a lock being opened.
Is this because they were worried she hadn't eaten enough, so they brought her dessert after the meal?
The black cat was clearly more excited than her and had already run behind the door to wait.
She had just sat up on the steps when the door opened.
This time, it was Lu's mother who came in, along with two men who looked exactly alike behind her.
Su Ping immediately recognized the one on the left as Tie Niu, because the black cat had climbed up his trouser leg the moment it saw him.
So that's why I was squatting by the door.
Feeling Lu's mother's gaze fall on her, Su Ping blinked, deciding not to move unless the enemy moved.
"Pingping, you are a smart child."
Su Ping nodded quickly, agreeing with what he said.
But Lu's mother's next words brought the atmosphere to a freezing point.
"Sometimes being too smart is not a good thing. There are not many people in the world who know that Zhiyan is still alive."
Zhiyan? Is that Tie Niu's name?
Su Ping's gaze fell on him, and she noticed that he was holding a black cat in his arms and looking at her with a worried expression.
Lu's mother approached her and continued:
Do you think I'll let you leave here?
She is threatening herself.
Realizing this, Su Ping simply gave up.
"So what do you want?"
This was exactly what Lu's mother had been waiting for. She knew that Su Ping was the celestial maiden the Taoist priest had spoken of who could save their Lu family, and that only by marrying into the Lu family could the curse be lifted.
I'll give you two choices.
Su Ping waited for Lu Mu to propose conditions.
"I originally wanted you to marry Zhiyan, but you seem to prefer my youngest son, Zhiyan."
After these words were spoken, the expressions of the three people present changed.
Su Ping and the two men behind her exchanged bewildered glances.
Hearing Lu's mother continue, "You choose one of them to marry and come to my family, or don't blame me for taking action."
Lu Zhiyan was surprised that she would make such a request, and his face immediately turned red. He quickly waved his hand to indicate that he was unaware of it.
Su Ping paused for two seconds, then laughed.
Is there really such a good thing?
"Is it a choice between only two?"
What does that mean?
Before Lu's mother could speak, she heard her continue, "I choose the third option!"
Where did the third option come from?
Everyone was stunned, especially Lu's mother.
How could she not know there was a third option?
Su Ping stood up, a smile playing on her lips: "I want them all."
Upon hearing this, Lu Zhiyan immediately jumped out, pointing at her angrily and saying, "You shameless bastard! How could you say such a thing!"
Su Ping blinked, walked over and took Lu Zhiyan's hand.
"Since you don't agree, then I choose to marry your brother."
"I definitely prefer Tie Niu."
Lu Zhiyan's heart was pounding. Did she just say she wanted to marry him?
Upon hearing this address, Lu Zhiyan immediately realized what it meant.
It turns out that Tie Niu really exists, and he's actually his own younger brother!
It turns out that he had only been used as a substitute for his younger brother all this time!
For some reason, he felt a pang of sadness along with his anger.
Why?
Didn't we agree on this on the ship? He said that as long as she married him, he wouldn't interfere in her private life.
Why was she so unwilling to accept that she was going to marry her younger brother?
They have the same face, so why can't he?
When Lu's mother saw that she had made her choice so quickly, she didn't know how to respond.
Why doesn't this person play by the rules?
Shouldn't we normally reject her proposal, lock her up for a few days, and then compromise?
Su Ping accidentally bumped into Lu Zhiyan's back and heard him cry out in pain.
I guessed he was tortured after being taken away last night.
Lu's mother asked again uncertainly, "Are you really willing to marry Zhiyan?"
Su Ping looked at the clear yet foolish look in Lu Zhiyan's eyes and smiled.
Indeed, compared to the annoying Lu Zhiyan, the adorable Lu Zhiyan is more likable.
At least he's easy to fool; if she says east, he'll never go west.
"Yes, can I take him to get his wound treated now?"
Su Ping reached out and took the black cat from Lu Zhiyan's arms, but the little guy was not happy about it.
As Lu Zhiyan watched the two figures leave, she suddenly felt a pang of jealousy.
Why is it that, even though he was the one who stayed by her side these past few days, and he was the one on the ship, she ultimately chose him?
But before he could speak, Lu's mother said to him.
"Zhiyan, please contact your journalist friends in the next few days."
“Your younger brother has been frail and sickly and has been living in a temple for so many years. It’s time to bring him back.”
Lu Zhiyan had just agreed when his mother's next words made him turn pale.
"His marriage to Pingping also needs to be settled as soon as possible."
Su Ping took Lu Zhiyan back to her room. After Lu's mother gave the order, the servants in the house had already assumed that Lu Zhiyan could move around freely.
Su Ping found the servant who had previously prevented her from approaching the house, asked her for anti-inflammatory and hemostatic medicine and gauze, and then returned to her room.
Inside the room, Lu Zhiyan appeared somewhat restrained.
"Take off your clothes."
Hearing her say that, Lu Zhiyan's face turned slightly red.
Having no memory of it, I naturally didn't feel there was anything wrong with taking off my clothes in front of her.
But now that he has regained his memories, how could he pretend he didn't know anything and take off his clothes?
Seeing that he was dawdling and not knowing what he was thinking, Su Ping simply put the things in her hands on the table, stepped forward, grabbed the hem of his clothes, and prepared to help him take them off.
The black cat looked at the two of them, meowed, and slipped out the window.
Lu Zhiyan quickly pressed her hand down.
Su Ping then noticed his face was incredibly red. Was he shy?
"I've already seen it, it's nothing."
After saying that, both she and Lu Zhiyan were stunned.
She seemed to have unknowingly revealed her identity.
[Host, your identity was exposed the moment you called him Iron Ox.]
When the emotionless voice of the Calabash Brothers rang out, Su Ping felt like pinching her own heart.
She glanced at Tie Niu's expression and saw that he was still tightly covering his clothes, not giving her words a second thought.
She could only sigh helplessly: "How can I apply the medicine if you don't take off your clothes?"
Lu Zhiyan tilted his head and thought for two seconds before awkwardly turning his back.
Then he lifted his clothes up and took them off.
His fair back was covered with several gruesome whip marks.
After disinfecting, Su Ping applied the ointment to his back with her fingertips.
Wherever they went, their skin turned red.
Su Ping found it amusing, so she took the opportunity to walk around his back while applying the ointment, and sure enough, she saw that it was completely red.
Even his earlobes were unusually red.
"Are you done?"
Lu Zhiyan's voice sounded muffled, as if he was suppressing some emotion.
Su Ping noticed that his whole body was tense and realized that he might have gone too far, so she quickly stopped.
