A short, sharp pain is worse than a long, drawn-out one.
Although my words might hurt him, it would ultimately cause him more harm than keeping him hanging on without giving him any resolution.
Wen Shu realized what she was about to say and quickly stepped forward to cover her lips.
"Please, don't say it."
As long as you don't say those words, I have an excuse to convince myself to stay by your side.
So please, please don't say anything to reject me.
But in the end, Su Ping still pulled his hand down.
"Wenshu, you are a good boy. You are ambitious and filial."
“But we’re not a good match. You’re still young and can enjoy your wonderful life. There’s no need to morally blackmail yourself into following me.”
Wen Shu shook her head with red eyes, trying to say that it wasn't like that.
But Su Ping continued, "I'm getting married soon, and I don't want to hold you back, so forget about me."
After those words were spoken, Wen Shu couldn't stop her tears.
He stepped forward, gently took Su Ping's hand, and asked her.
"Don't you really want me anymore?"
When he said this, his eyes were filled with tears and his lips trembled, truly like a puppy that knew it had been abandoned.
Seeing his injured expression, Su Ping decided to see this villain through to the end.
Wen Shu is simple-minded, unlike those male models. If I don't make things clear to him sooner, the harm I cause him in the future will only be deeper.
Seeing her nod coldly, Wen Shu gave her one last deep look before turning and running out the door.
Su Ping sighed and walked over to close the door.
The longer she stayed in this world, the more people she became connected with, and the more reluctant she was to leave.
Su Ping was startled by her own thought and quickly slapped herself twice.
This is just a fictional world, why would she have such a thought?
After the two slaps, she indeed became much more awake.
[Huluwa, when can I leave this place?]
[When their corruption level is reset to zero again.]
Reset to zero again?
Su Ping's vision went black, feeling like he had been knocked out in the final level of a monster battle and then jumped from normal difficulty to hell difficulty.
I hadn't told her before that the "darkening value" could increase!
What the Calabash Brothers didn't dare to say was that all they knew was that their corruption level had skyrocketed, but they couldn't see the exact value.
Su Ping didn't eat dinner, took a shower, and then lay down on the bed to go to sleep.
As soon as I lay down, I heard what sounded like movement outside the window.
Could we have been robbed?
Su Ping got out of bed and discovered that someone was throwing stones at her balcony from below.
Whose naughty child is this?
Su Ping was furious. She put on her shoes and went downstairs to teach this brat a lesson.
When she opened the door, she looked around but couldn't see anyone outside.
She went to the area under the window and found a few small stones on the ground that hadn't been thrown away yet.
It seems that the brat deliberately aimed for her window and threw it.
Su Ping was so angry that she kicked the stones away.
I didn't expect this little rascal to be so good at running. I hope she doesn't catch me!
She took two steps back unwillingly, then suddenly turned around to look behind her, only to find no one there.
Did that brat really run away?
After all that commotion, the sleepiness I had finally managed to cultivate was gone.
Instead, I broke out in a sweat.
Su Ping felt unlucky and walked towards the door while chirping crickets.
Under the streetlights, the door on the first floor seemed to be open even wider than before.
Did she leave the door open when she went downstairs?
Su Ping was taken aback. This neighborhood was very safe, so there shouldn't be any bad guys around.
Without thinking much about it, she closed the door and went upstairs to the second floor.
Moonlight streamed in through the window, and Su Ping looked at the moon, suddenly feeling somewhat dazed.
Ancient people wrote many poems about the moon. Is the moon in the book the same moon that she sees in the real world?
The window wasn't closed, and a gust of wind suddenly blew in. I had just been sweating, and my clothes were sticking to my body, which felt quite uncomfortable.
Su Ping withdrew her gaze, went back to the bedroom to get her clothes, and went into the bathroom.
Perhaps influenced by the moon, Su Ping thought of her mother in the real world, and the original owner's father, Su Zhinan.
They were all people who were very kind to her.
She suddenly felt a little homesick. Although she was wealthy and had friends here, she always felt that something was missing.
The warm water poured over her from head to toe, washing away much of the frustration in her heart.
Because she was thinking about things, Su Ping took a little longer to wash.
When she came out after taking a shower, the moon had already hidden behind the clouds.
Only the dim streetlights illuminated the road, but at this hour there were no pedestrians on the road, making it exceptionally quiet.
She was so angry she could have teeth.
Tomorrow she's determined to check the security footage to find out which brat it was, and then print it out and hang it on the guardhouse window!
There was a hairdryer next to the bathroom, so Su Ping dried her hair there as well.
It has to be said that the original owner's hair was really good. It was thick but not rough, and it felt as smooth as a waterfall. The texture and weight were also very good.
But it is indeed difficult to dry.
Five minutes later, Su Ping's hands were almost sore from blowing on her hair, but the ends were still a little wet, so thankfully it stopped dripping.
Su Ping simply grabbed the towel next to her and wrapped it around her head.
She didn't have her phone with her, so she couldn't see the time, but she thought she just heard the old wall clock in the hallway chime.
It's already midnight.
Su Ping could barely keep her eyes open as she yawned and walked towards the bedroom.
Su Ping pushed open the door and stared blankly at the dark bedroom.
Did she turn off the lights when she went downstairs?
She thought about it for a moment, but gave up after two seconds.
She was so tired that her brain had automatically stopped working.
She felt like she could collapse and fall asleep at any moment.
At this moment, the clouds outside seemed to have parted a bit, revealing slivers of moonlight.
Too lazy to turn on the light, Su Ping simply closed the door and walked to the bed.
She walked to the bedside with ease, lifted the covers, and lay down.
She missed her soft bed so much; it was definitely more comfortable to sleep in her own bed.
Su Ping hummed contentedly, closed her eyes, and quickly fell asleep.
She fell asleep so quickly that she didn't notice there was a man in her bed.
The soft moonlight shone in through the window, and the man looked at her sleeping face and couldn't help but lean over and kiss her on the cheek.
The next second, Su Ping snorted.
woke up?
The man immediately held his breath and dared not move.
Thirty seconds later, he heard her steady breathing.
So she was just asleep.
The man chuckled and his gaze returned to her face.
She looks so cute when she sleeps, like a little kitten, making you want to hug her.
He adjusted his sleeping position and carefully pulled Su Ping, blanket and all, into his arms.
