Aunt Mei coughed and awkwardly looked away.
Suddenly, she stood at the doorway, unsure whether to go in or back, feeling as if she had arrived at a rather unfortunate time.
Su Ping didn't expect Song Qi to suddenly reach out and cover her face, and she certainly didn't expect that Aunt Mei would witness this scene.
She hadn't felt anything at first, but for some reason she suddenly felt a little guilty, as if she and Song Qi were doing something behind someone else's back.
"Aunt Mei, it's not what you think!"
Su Ping quickly looked up, left Song Qi, and explained to Aunt Mei.
As Song Qi felt the smooth skin leave his hand, he subconsciously closed his palm and gently rubbed it with his fingertips. Realizing what he was doing, he suddenly felt a little irritated, and his handsome brows furrowed.
Aunt Mei's gaze fell thoughtfully on Song Qi, whose head was slightly lowered, and then she looked at Su Ping and smiled knowingly.
"Okay, okay, I know everything. Don't worry, I didn't see anything."
After saying that, he walked over with a smile and put the fruit plate on the table. When he left, he even considerately closed the door for the two of them.
Miss is finally starting to see the light and isn't so focused on that young master Xu anymore, which is good.
Looking at Aunt Mei's back, Su Ping felt as if she had punched cotton. She knew without a doubt that Aunt Mei had misunderstood something.
Su Ping sighed. Even if she were desperate, she wouldn't choose to... have sex with her tutor in the room...
Thinking of this, Su Ping glanced at Song Qi, who hadn't reacted at all, feeling somewhat frustrated. She couldn't understand how he had just happened to be holding her head up.
But then they saw Song Qi take a slice of watermelon from the fruit plate, take a bite, and nod affirmatively.
"This watermelon is quite sweet."
Is now the time to just sit back and watch the drama unfold?
Su Ping laughed, and for some reason her gaze slowly moved down and landed on Song Qi's lips, which were gently chewing.
There was still some moisture on it, making his already pink lips look even more hydrated.
What's going on? Why does she feel that lips like this are very kissable, and that kissing someone with lips like this would be a pleasure?
Su Ping was startled by the thoughts in her mind and quickly shook her head.
Did she really not know Song Qi before?
Why is it that whenever the two have even the slightest contact, she can't help but associate it with something suggestive?
Is she really single for too long and needs to find a boyfriend?
"what's on your mind?"
After swallowing the fruit and juice in his mouth, Song Qi noticed that Su Ping was staring blankly at his lips, so he subconsciously raised his hand to wipe his lips.
Why are you staring at him like that? Is there something dirty on his mouth?
When I spread my fingers apart, there was only some juice on them, and I didn't see any other dirt.
When Su Ping was caught staring at someone's lips, her face quickly flushed, and she awkwardly looked away.
Song Qi found it increasingly suspicious and couldn't help but frown and move closer.
As the distance between them grew closer, Su Ping felt her heart begin to race, and that feeling of palpitations and shortness of breath returned.
Rather than feeling a flutter in her heart, Su Ping felt it was more like her body instinctively sending signals to Song Qi as he approached.
Her body seemed a little afraid of him.
When the word "fear" entered Su Ping's mind, she suddenly felt as if her meridians had been opened, and she looked up at Song Qi in disbelief.
Why would she feel physically afraid of Song Qi?
Was it because the two had some interaction before the amnesia?
"Have we...knew each other before?"
Su Ping stared into Song Qi's eyes and tentatively asked the question.
She didn't know why she had this feeling, but she couldn't remember anything, so she could only ask the person involved.
Song Qi was taken aback, seemingly not expecting her to ask that question.
At first, he thought she was just trying to trick him like those other girls, but after seeing the genuine doubt in her eyes, he shook his head.
"No, we've never met before and we don't know each other."
Seeing Su Ping's thoughtful expression, he couldn't help but ask, "Why do you ask that?"
Su Ping's gaze darted away, avoiding his eyes. After a couple of dry laughs, she spoke.
"Isn't this just a way to get to know each other better? It's okay, we've met now."
"..."
As expected, the room was unusually quiet.
Su Ping's lips twitched. She really wanted to slap herself twice. This joke wasn't funny at all!
Just as she was about to say something to ease the awkwardness, a fair hand suddenly reached out to her, holding a fruit plate.
"You're right, we do know each other now."
"Have some fruit. You must be thirsty after studying for so long."
Su Ping looked at the fruit platter, which was arranged in a very appetizing manner, but felt as if someone had poured a bucket of cold water on her, and lost all interest.
She couldn't help but suspect that Song Qi was subtly criticizing her. From the moment she entered until now, aside from initially holding the book upside down, she had been listening to him explain the knowledge points and hadn't actually studied for very long.
Suddenly, she remembered her business, symbolically popped a grape into her mouth, and asked indistinctly.
"Little Song, can I ask you something?"
When Su Ping and Song Qi uttered that title, they both paused for a moment.
Song Qi glanced at Su Ping with some confusion. It was the first time he had heard this title, so why did he feel a strange sense of familiarity?
Moreover, she seemed to want to cry.
Song Qi attributed these odd things to Su Ping, because he had smelled the fragrance of gardenias when she got close.
The scent was strangely familiar. Could it be that she had done something to get closer to me?
What did she want by approaching him? Thinking of the question she had asked about his sister's name downstairs, Song Qi pursed his lips, concealing his emotions, and said calmly.
"Sure, go ahead and ask."
Su Ping snapped back to reality upon hearing his voice.
That nickname just came out unconsciously, and it somehow felt natural, as if I'd called it that many times before.
Could my memory be playing tricks on me? But that shouldn't be the case, Song Qi just said that the two of them didn't know each other before.
After composing herself, Su Ping smiled again and asked, "Are you and your sister close?"
What kind of question is this?
Song Qi raised an eyebrow. Sure enough, he had guessed correctly. She was being so friendly to him in order to get information out of him.
She asked her sister about his relationship with him, wondering what he wanted to do.
Was it also for Xu Yichen's sake? Because her sister threatened her position with Xu Yichen?
