Song Qi's eyes flickered slightly, and he tilted his head back slightly.
Song Yifei's hand froze in mid-air, and she smiled helplessly.
“Our little Qi has really grown up now; even your older sister can’t touch the top of your head anymore.”
Song Qi was stunned by his own actions, and he didn't know why he had subconsciously wanted to dodge.
Mingming, he used to love it when his sister touched him like that, didn't he?
Song Yifei lowered her hand and patted his shoulder.
"Get some rest. Don't you have a part-time job tomorrow?"
Thinking about the part-time job, Song Qi tightened his grip on the milk cup.
He didn't tell his sister that he had used his position as a tutor to get close to Su Ping, and his sister didn't know what part-time job he did on those three afternoons every week.
Song Qi nodded, watched Song Yifei turn and go back to her room, then closed the door and went back to his room as well.
The phone in his pocket suddenly vibrated, and Song Qi's heart skipped a beat.
After placing the glass of milk on the table, he took his phone out of his pocket.
After seeing the message from the mobile company reminding him that his phone credit balance was insufficient, he became inexplicably irritable.
He couldn't help but throw his phone on the table, realizing that something had been wrong with him these past two days.
It was as if they were waiting for news from that woman.
But didn't he himself say he hoped to pretend that thing never happened?
Now that the woman is acting like nothing happened, he feels a little awkward again.
Song Qi sighed, feeling increasingly troubled, and decided to inquire about it in person the next day.
The next day, when Su Ping was half asleep, she heard Aunt Mei's voice outside.
"Miss, Xiao Song is here and waiting for you on the first floor."
What, Xiao Song?
Su Ping's mind went blank for a moment, and it took her two seconds to realize that Aunt Mei was talking about Song Qi.
Who has a healthy family member who gets sick and is forced to take extra classes?
Su Ping walked over and opened the door: "Could you let him go home first today? I..."
Before she could finish speaking, Su Ping saw the boy standing behind Aunt Mei.
He was wearing a light blue plaid jacket today, over a white T-shirt, and jeans...
When Song Qi noticed her staring at his pants, he frowned and looked down in the direction of her gaze.
Suddenly he remembered that these pants were the same jeans he wore the night he was drugged in the hotel.
He didn't know why, even though he had no memory of that night, being stared at by Su Ping like this made him feel a strange sensation in his body.
It was as if his jeans had become invisible, leaving him nowhere to hide.
"no!"
Song Qi blurted out two words, successfully drawing the attention of Aunt Mei and Su Ping to his face.
"What?"
Su Ping didn't know why he was suddenly so agitated, and why he had such a strange expression, as if...
For a moment, the air seemed to stand still. Song Qi blinked, and it took him a while to find his voice again.
“I said, I can’t rest today.”
After saying that, he emphasized to himself, "Yes, we can't rest, the exam is coming soon."
He nodded after he finished speaking, making himself appear very confident.
Remembering Su Zhinan's words, Aunt Mei also spoke up, "Miss, it's like this."
Su Zhinan turned a blind eye to Su Ping's truancy, only requiring her not to fail any exams.
"Okay, come in."
Su Ping finally compromised and opened the door to let Song Qi in.
As he approached her little by little, Song Qi heard his heartbeat begin to quicken, and that strange feeling returned.
"Aunt Mei, is there any porridge left from last night?"
Aunt Mei was about to leave when she heard Su Ping say this and quickly asked, "Yes, Miss, are you hungry?"
Su Ping nodded. Her temperature had spiked again yesterday afternoon, and she hadn't eaten much that evening, so she was indeed a little hungry now.
"Then I'll go heat it up for you."
After Aunt Mei finished speaking, she smiled and turned to go downstairs.
Then, when Song Qi heard their conversation, it took on a completely different meaning.
Isn't it 1 p.m. now? It's past lunchtime.
Could it be that something has happened to cause her to suddenly have a bigger appetite lately?
As Song Qi considered a possibility, his gaze involuntarily drifted towards Su Ping's lower abdomen.
Su Ping was wearing a long nightgown that obscured her waistline, let alone anything else.
Su Ping never expected that Song Qi would come to tutor her after what happened between them.
Seeing that he was staring at her without saying anything, Su Ping followed his gaze downwards.
She's dressed perfectly normal, what is he looking at?
"Sit down for a while, I'll eat something before I start studying."
After Su Ping finished speaking, she went to the bathroom to wash up.
After she turned around, Song Qi stared at her back with a thoughtful expression on his face.
He doesn't remember anything from that night. Didn't she take any precautions?
Thinking of that possibility, Song Qi quickly patted his face to stop himself from overthinking it.
When Su Ping finished washing up and came out, she saw Song Qi sitting at the table staring straight at her.
His eyes seemed to look as if he wanted to devour her whole.
"Okay, okay, I know I'm pretty, you don't need to stare at me like that."
Although she was indeed thick-skinned, she still felt somewhat embarrassed to have done that kind of thing for the unconscious Song Qi while she was sober.
Later on, it became Song Qi who took the initiative.
She couldn't even rest for a moment; her hands were forcibly held down, preventing her from moving an inch.
Song Qi then noticed her face, which looked paler than usual and seemed lifeless.
What's wrong with this person today? He came in and didn't say a word, just staring at me like an idiot.
What are you spacing out for?
Su Ping couldn't help but frown as she walked up to him and waved her hand in front of him.
After regaining his senses, Song Qi quickly looked away, his body instinctively leaning back as Su Ping approached.
"Don't get so close to me."
Hearing his cold tone, Su Ping snorted and took half a step back.
It's as if nobody wants to rely on someone so similar to him.
After she actually left his side, Song Qi felt inexplicably irritable again.
The image of my roommate kissing another man involuntarily flashed into my mind.
It was the man she had dinner with that night.
If it weren't for her that night, would she have planned to go back with that man?
Upon realizing this idea, Song Qi was immediately startled.
It seems he's really acting a bit strange lately. She can be with whomever she wants, what's it to him?
After his gaze shifted away from her, Su Ping was completely bewildered.
She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but she felt that Song Qi was acting strangely today.
Otherwise, why would he stare at me without saying a word as soon as he walked in?
