Chapter 380 The Sense of Crisis of Age

The old man was dressed in a low-key suit, with kind eyes and an extraordinary demeanor.

Su Ping smiled and was about to speak when the old man spoke.

"Young lady, are you here to deliver some documents to the master?"

gentlemen?

Su Ping's smile froze for a moment as she realized that the old man in front of her was probably playing the role of a housekeeper in this household.

The butler was so elegant that she was starting to wonder what the gentleman he was talking about looked like.

Realizing she was daydreaming, Su Ping quickly lowered her head, nodded, and gave a slightly embarrassed "hmm."

Looking at Su Ping, Uncle Wu found her more and more adorable, and quite a good match for Mr. Wu, except for these past few years...

Thinking of this, Uncle Wu couldn't help but sigh, opened the iron gate in front of him and said to Su Ping, "The master is handling official business in his study upstairs. He has given instructions that you can go up and find him directly, young lady."

Su Ping nodded, knowing the importance of the document in her hand.

Although the person in front of me is the butler, it's better to hand it over to the "master" he mentioned himself.

She had just reached the top of the stairs when she heard a child's voice coming from upstairs.

It seems that the gentleman is indeed quite old; he even has grandchildren.

Su Ping pulled herself out of her thoughts and mentally planned how to greet the people she met later.

"Young Master has invited some friends over to play today, so it might be a bit lively."

Seeing this, Uncle Wu took the initiative to explain.

Su Ping smiled and shook her head, indicating that it was nothing to worry about.

The old butler led her to a door and stopped, gesturing for her to go in by herself.

Su Ping knocked on the door, but although the door was open, she couldn't see what was happening inside the study.

All that could be seen was a man sitting at a table with a laptop in front of him, the sound of typing occasionally ringing out.

"Come in."

Upon hearing the man's voice, Su Ping was taken aback. She hadn't expected the man's voice to be so pleasant, not at all like someone of his age.

Su Ping lowered her head and walked quickly inside, finally stopping when she was about a meter or two away from the desk.

"Mr. Shen, this is the contract that Su Group signed with you."

Su Ping didn't know what was wrong with her; her tongue suddenly got tied in knots, so she quickly changed how she addressed him.

Although she reacted quickly, the man still clearly heard her say "old".

His fingers stopped typing on the computer keyboard. He thoughtfully shifted his gaze from the laptop in front of him to Su Ping, who was looking down at her feet.

Is it her?

Shen Jiayu recognized her at a glance as the little girl who had been tackled to the ground by Lele in the Su family's back garden that day.

He chuckled as he recalled how she had addressed him earlier, then adjusted his glasses.

Do I look that old?

Su Ping felt something was off when she heard his laughter, and after hearing what he said next, she subconsciously looked up.

His attire was different from when he pulled me up at home last time; he was probably working from home.

He wasn't wearing a suit at the time, and two buttons on his white shirt were undone, revealing a hint of his collarbone. The sleeves were also rolled up slightly, exposing his fair and well-defined forearms.

Upon seeing him, Su Ping recalled the fear of being pounced on by that big dog and instinctively looked around.

Watching the ever-changing expressions on her face, Shen Jiayu narrowed his eyes. This little girl was quite interesting.

"What's wrong?"

Hearing the sound of him tapping the table, Su Ping suddenly came to her senses and quickly said, "No, no, how could you be old? You're just the right age, in the prime of your life!"

After she finished speaking, she heard him chuckle again. Su Ping realized what she had said, and her face flushed red.

Shen Jiayu smiled but said nothing, only extending his hand towards her.

Su Ping realized what was happening and quickly stepped forward to hand him the folder she was holding.

The man took it, glanced at it casually, and put it in the drawer. Then he looked up at her thoughtfully.

"that……"

If there's nothing else, I'll head back now.

Before he could finish speaking, he turned off his computer and stood up.

Have you had breakfast?

Su Ping was surprised that he would suddenly ask such a question, and subconsciously shook her head.

She drove over early in the morning to deliver documents to him; she really didn't have time to eat.

Shen Jiayu smiled and walked to her side, saying, "You've worked hard. Why don't you stay and have something to eat before you leave?"

Is there really such a good thing?

Su Ping blinked and subconsciously waved her hand in refusal: "No need, no need, I'd be so embarrassed."

"It's alright. That kid bought a lot of things today to invite his classmates over. It would be a shame not to help him eat some of them."

What?

Su Ping watched his retreating figure as he walked towards the door, and suddenly couldn't quite understand what he was saying.

As Shen Jiayu reached the door, he noticed she hadn't followed. He stopped and turned slightly to look at her: "What are you thinking about? Hurry up and catch up."

The way he spoke made it seem as if he simply wanted me to stay and have something to eat, without any other intentions.

Su Ping suppressed the strange feeling in her heart, nodded, and walked towards him.

She's only had one bowl of porridge since last night, and she's quite hungry now. Besides, she's worried that if she's too far away from him, he might attack her again with his big dog.

Hearing her following him at a distance that was neither too close nor too far, Shen Jiayu smiled helplessly as he walked.

Does he look that scary?

At the same time, two little radish heads also came out of the room from the other side.

A little boy in a suit saw Shen Jiayu and ran towards them with a big smile on his face.

"Uncle, I knew you would definitely come to my party!"

uncle?

Su Ping raised an eyebrow, feeling a little guilty as she recalled how she had mistaken him for her grandson.

She clearly isn't married yet, but she's already imagining grandchildren in people's minds.

"Didn't you say you were supposed to be mindful of your appearance? Slow down so you don't fall."

Shen Jiayu leaned down slightly and gently rubbed Shen Silan's head.

As Shen Silan backed away, she noticed Su Ping, who was not far behind Shen Jiayu, and asked with a curious and gossipy expression.

"Uncle, when did you go looking for Aunt behind my back? Did playing with Xiaomei make you feel the pressure of getting older?"

Su Ping didn't expect this little brat to speak so bluntly to Shen Jiayu, and couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Noticing Shen Jiayu's gaze, she coughed lightly, desperately trying to suppress the smile on her lips.

"If you say one more word, I'll confiscate your allowance."

As expected of Shen Jiayu, he directly seized Shen Silan's weak point, and Shen Silan immediately covered his mouth and dared not speak anymore.
