Chapter 432 Oh, Xiao Qi brought his girlfriend here?

Not only did she not feel uncomfortable, but the slightly upturned corners of her mouth seemed to indicate that she was in a good mood.

Song Qi was somewhat surprised, but also a little happy.

At this moment, she suddenly noticed that Su Ping had stopped and was standing there intently staring at the stall.

That was a stall selling candied hawthorns.

Is she trying to eat candied hawthorn but too shy? She's acting like a child.

"Senior, what are you looking at?"

He suppressed a laugh and asked, feigning ignorance.

Su Ping clicked her tongue twice, her tone barely concealing her delight: "Didn't you notice how ugly that child over there looks when he cries? His face looks all wrinkled, like a little bitter gourd."

? ? ?

Song Qi looked at the child crying loudly next to the stall because the candied hawthorn had fallen to the ground, and was somewhat speechless.

He thought she wanted to eat candied hawthorns, but little did he know she simply found it amusing that the child over there was crying.

At the same time, I couldn't help but laugh helplessly; my senior's thought process was indeed quite different from others.

"Let's go, senior, stop looking, we'll have to queue up later."

Song Qi chuckled twice and stepped forward to hold her hand, but after thinking for a moment, he grabbed her arm instead.

He was afraid that his sudden actions were too abrupt and would frighten her.

As he led her forward, Su Ping, still not having had her fill of sightseeing, kept looking back.

Just then, a motorcycle came from the opposite direction and was about to hit her shoulder.

Song Qi reacted quickly, pulling the person into his arms with force.

"Do you look up at the sky when you walk? Don't you know how to watch where you're going?"

Hearing the motorcyclist cursing, Su Ping was startled.

Song Qi quickly patted her shoulder and comforted her, "It's okay, it's okay, senior, are you alright?"

Listening to his strong, powerful heartbeat, Su Ping's thoughts gradually returned, and she shook her head.

Watching the man on the motorcycle disappear into the distance, I suddenly felt a pang of emotion.

Luckily, he ran fast, otherwise she would have definitely lie on the ground and extorted money from him.

Seeing her staring blankly in the direction the motorcycle had gone, Song Qi assumed she was upset because of what he had said and asked, "Senior, what are you thinking about?"

Su Ping looked away and shook her head. Of course, she couldn't tell him that she was thinking about how not to extort money from that man.

"Weren't you going to take me out to eat? Where are we going?"

She was indeed a little hungry and desperately needed something to eat to soothe her wounded spirit after doing her homework all afternoon.

Song Qi smiled and subtly pulled her arm, switching places with her.

Many motorcycles shuttle through this alley, and what just happened was indeed quite dangerous. He didn't want to imagine the consequences if he hadn't been there...

"Don't rush, senior, we still have a little more to go."

The two strolled around for a while, and finally Song Qi led her to a small shop that had just opened and was still setting up tables and chairs.

"Uncle Zhang, two bowls of beef noodles."

Hearing someone call his name, the man who had his back to them stiffened slightly, then turned around uncertainly.

A look of bewilderment flashed across the middle-aged man's face before he finally broke into a hearty smile.

"Xiao Qi? You've grown so much in just a few years!"

After Uncle Zhang recognized Song Qi's face, he walked over with a smile and patted him on the shoulder, his tone very happy.

Song Qi smiled and nodded, saying, "I was just passing by and happened to be craving Uncle Zhang's beef noodles, so I came to try them."

Uncle Zhang's gaze then fell on Su Ping's face beside him, and his smile deepened.

"Hey, Xiao Qi, you brought your girlfriend along?"

Su Ping, who had been smiling politely, suddenly froze for a moment and looked up sharply at the man in front of her who was smiling at her.

The middle-aged man in front of me had graying temples and a cheerful face with several wrinkles.

But even this scene made Su Ping's face turn pale, and she couldn't help but take several steps back.

Seeing her unusual behavior, Song Qi looked at her with concern and asked, "Senior, what's wrong?"

Su Ping steadied herself, glanced at Song Qi, and then at Uncle Zhang, who was looking at her with a smile.

A sudden chill ran down my spine.

That scene just now felt like it had actually happened before, right here, with the same man.

I said the same thing to myself.

Looking at the middle-aged man again, she noticed that his smile was somewhat mechanical, as if he were saying those words on a fixed occasion.

They had no thoughts or soul of their own; they simply said those words naturally because the time was right.

Fear overwhelmed her, and the more she looked, the more terrified she became. She couldn't help but turn her head to look around, and suddenly realized that everyone had stopped moving.

Time seemed to stand still, and she was the only person left in the world.

The panic from her dream returned, but she found herself unable to move.

Just then, a cool hand suddenly grabbed her arm, pulling her out of the still world.

"Senior, are you alright? Are you feeling unwell?"

Song Qi looked at Su Ping, who had been in a daze, and asked with some concern.

Su Ping looked at his face and saw her own reflection clearly in his eyes, then looked down.

His own arm was being held firmly in his hand.

That powerful presence, however, made her feel much more at ease.

When she turned to look at the passersby again, she found them as if they had come back to life, going about their business, as if everything that had just happened was just her imagination.

"Xiao Qi, quickly bring your girlfriend in and sit down for a rest."

Uncle Zhang looked at Su Ping with the same concern on his face.

The little girl looked at me like she'd seen something terrifying; she was probably a bit shy.

Before Song Qi could withdraw his hand, Su Ping subconsciously gripped his hand tightly in return. After a while, she managed to find her voice and said softly, "I'm fine. I guess I didn't sleep well last night. I'll just go sit down and rest for a bit."

Thinking about how the two of them had spent the night squeezed onto that folding bed, Song Qi immediately understood.

He nodded and pulled Su Ping to sit down on the chair behind him.

"Uncle Zhang's beef noodles are delicious. We came early, so there aren't many people here yet. If we had come any later, we probably would have had to wait in line for a long time."

Listening to his words, Su Ping nodded absentmindedly, clearly still not fully recovered from the emotions she had just experienced.

She had a strange feeling in her heart: was the world she was in really as simple as it seemed on the surface?

Does this world really exist?

Thinking of this, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her head, as if something inside was being torn apart.

The pain caused her to grip the edge of the table tightly with her fingers, making quite a noise.
