Upon hearing this, Shen Jiayu snorted inwardly, his hand, hidden under the blanket, gradually clenched into a fist.
Did I set an alarm?
Okay, very good.
Unbeknownst to Shen Silan, she hadn't realized the seriousness of her words and continued, "Uncle, can alarm clocks talk? That's amazing!"
Seeing this, Chen Qi quickly covered his mouth and pulled him behind him, saying, "How can an alarm clock talk? You must be seeing things."
Shen Jiayu chuckled and said with a wry look in his eyes, "Alarm clocks really don't talk unless the person wants them to."
Shen Silan listened in a daze and frowned.
What does my uncle mean by that? Why can't he understand?
"Uncle Qi, Uncle..."
Seeing this, Chen Qi quickly covered his mouth and led him outside, afraid that he might say something that would become the fuse.
It's all his fault for having such a big mouth. If he hadn't taken that photo for A-Yu, he wouldn't have put himself through all this trouble.
He wouldn't wait a long time after tidying himself up only to find out that Su Ping wasn't there to see him at all.
Even after learning he was in the hospital, she preferred to pretend her alarm clock was a phone call rather than come up to see him.
If he were Shen Jiayu, he'd probably want to bang his head against a wall.
On the other hand, this is the first time since Gu Lan's death that someone has taken him so seriously, and that person doesn't seem to have any romantic feelings for him.
Thinking of the man who stood with Shen Jiayu that night, Chen Qi's eyes became somewhat solemn.
If A Yu had to be with a woman, he would rather the one who ended up with him be Su Ping than the woman who looked exactly like Gu Lan.
Shen Silan was pulled out of the ward by him. Just as she was about to go to his office to play for a while, she saw Chen Qi turn around and leave, muttering to himself.
He stood there blinking, watching Chen Qi's departing figure with a puzzled expression.
Why has Uncle Chen Qi become so eccentric, just like my uncle?
Is this what they mean by not being able to sleep in the same bed with two different kinds of people?
After seeing Shen Silan being taken away, Uncle Wu followed her out with some concern, leaving Shen Jiayu alone sitting on the hospital bed.
Shen Jiayu lifted the pillow, looked at the razor he had hastily stuffed under it, and chuckled self-deprecatingly.
He was so happy when he heard she was coming to the hospital that he forgot about the pain in his stomach and got up to tidy himself up, thinking he would leave a good impression on her.
Who knew she did come to the hospital, but not to see him.
So what exactly did she come to the hospital for?
This question lingered in his mind, so he took out his phone and dialed his assistant's number.
Having learned from the previous experience, the assistant did not go back this time, but instead sat in the car and closed his eyes to rest.
Sure enough, less than ten minutes later, the phone that was lying there rang again.
I picked up my phone and saw that it was indeed Shen Jiayu.
What does the boss want with me?
The assistant was impressed with his own intelligence and was glad he hadn't gone back immediately, otherwise he would have had to turn back.
The main problem is that the boss's mood is unpredictable, and I can't afford to lose this job because of these things.
Thinking of this, the assistant cleared his throat and answered the phone.
Before he could speak, Shen Jiayu's voice came from the other end.
"Go check the surveillance footage for me right now. I need to know what she did at the hospital today."
The assistant was stunned for a moment after hearing Shen Jiayu's words.
Wasn't President Shen in a pretty good mood when he delivered the razor? His smile was so casual, you'd think he had a girlfriend.
Why are they acting like they've taken a shot of gunpowder?
After Shen Jiayu finished speaking, he hung up the phone immediately.
The next second, my phone chimed.
The assistant picked it up and saw that it was a photo of a girl sent by Shen Jiayu.
So he resigned himself to his fate, opened the car door, and walked toward the hospital building.
On the other side, after Su Ping came out of the hospital, she took out her phone to see if there were any restaurants nearby.
It turned out that the phone had run out of battery and shut down.
After I got back to the car and plugged my phone in to charge, it turned on automatically.
The phone screen changed several times. Su Ping looked down and found that Tu Hengchuan had sent her a lot of messages.
"Where do you live? Sister Yu won't tell me."
"Give me the address, I'll come and pick up my earring."
"You'd better really have forgotten it at home. If I find out you're lying or actually sold it to someone else, you're finished..."
After sending these three messages, perhaps seeing that she hadn't replied, Tu Hengchuan made several voice calls to her.
She had completely forgotten about it.
The first thing Su Ping did when she got home was to go straight to her bedroom. Since it wasn't in her bag, it must still be in her bedroom.
I searched the wardrobe for a long time, but I couldn't find the box.
No way, could it really be gone?
Su Ping felt a chill run down her spine; she could already imagine the look on Tu Hengchuan's face.
Suddenly, as if she remembered something, her gaze fell on the bag on the table.
It does bear some resemblance to the bag I'm holding.
She immediately walked over there.
Upon opening the bag, I indeed found the box containing the blue earring lying quietly inside.
Did I put the wrong bag in the bag when I picked it out this morning?
But it's good that it was found. Su Ping took out the box and opened her chat with Tu Hengchuan.
After taking a picture of the box in my hand, I sent it to him.
As a result, I saw a red exclamation mark.
