His pupils are a light color, which is very beautiful.
The two were extremely close, so close that Su Ping could clearly see her own face reflected in his eyes.
Too close.
Just as she was thinking of taking a step back to create some distance, Song Qi had already straightened up.
Su Ping quickly regained her composure and said, "Let's get in the car first."
As Song Qi watched her turn and leave quickly, he couldn't hide the smile in his eyes.
Is this senior student really that easily charmed? She's actually quite cute.
"Senior, it's still raining, wait for me."
Song Qi's tone rose slightly, revealing his good mood at the moment.
Su Ping had to slow down and wait for him to come over.
Because of the height difference between the two, Song Qi had to bend his head slightly to get inside the umbrella.
After Su Ping escorted him to the passenger side, she opened the car door for him.
After saying thank you, Song Qi sat down inside.
He obediently brought his legs together and looked up at her with a smile.
What are you laughing at? And you look so good laughing.
Su Ping awkwardly looked away, walked to the other side, put away her umbrella, and got into the car.
Song Qi had already fastened his seatbelt and was sitting there obediently, looking at her with a hesitant expression.
Su Ping started the car and, seeing his expression, couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"
As if he had thought of something embarrassing, Song Qi lowered his head, his earlobes turning as red as if they were about to bleed.
Two seconds later, he parted his thin lips slightly and uttered two words.
His voice wasn't loud, and just then a car outside honked its horn, so Su Ping didn't hear what he said.
After Song Qi finished speaking, his eyelashes trembled slightly, and his earlobes turned even redder.
"What did you just say? I didn't hear you clearly."
After Su Ping asked that question, she heard her stomach rumble.
She subconsciously looked down at her stomach.
Wait a minute, her stomach isn't growling.
Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Song Qi pat his stomach a little embarrassedly, raise his head and say somewhat shyly, "Senior, I'm a little hungry."
Hungry?
Su Ping touched her stomach and belatedly realized that she had just come out to find food.
Here comes a ready-made dining partner!
"Hungry? Come on, let me take you to eat."
Upon hearing this, Song Qi looked over with some surprise, a different look appearing in his eyes.
When he heard her say the word "sister," his fingertips trembled involuntarily.
It was as if his body was responding to her; only he knew how happy he felt when he heard those two words.
He could even hear his heart pounding because of what she said.
Finally, Su Ping took him to a Hunan restaurant that was said to be quite authentic according to Dianping (a Chinese review platform).
Even though it wasn't lunchtime yet, the two still had to wait in line for a long time before they could get a number.
Finally, the waiter led the two people inside.
The room was almost full of customers, and business seemed to be booming.
Song Qi's gaze swept around and suddenly caught sight of two familiar figures.
He immediately smirked and grabbed Su Ping's arm.
"Senior."
Su Ping stopped and turned to look at him, puzzled, wondering why he had suddenly grabbed her.
But then he pointed to the window seat and said, "I see no one over there. Why don't we go over there? There are too many people here, and I'm a bit socially anxious."
His words caused Su Ping and the waiter to exchange a glance, both seeing shock in each other's eyes.
But that side did look more comfortable, so Su Ping nodded and had the waiter lead her there.
After sitting down, Su Ping handed the kitchen knife to Song Qi across from her and said, "Order whatever you want, as compensation for being so late this afternoon."
Song Qi raised an eyebrow slightly and obediently took the menu.
After glancing at it, he ticked it and handed the menu back.
Su Ping noticed that he had only ordered one dish.
Are you trying to save her money like this?
Finally, the waiter confirmed the menu the two had ordered. When he mentioned "stir-fried pork with chili peppers," his tone clearly rose, as if he were singing.
Su Ping paused for a moment, then suddenly remembered a popular meme from before, which made her even more certain that this Hunan restaurant was authentic.
Song Qi watched her every move, and when he saw her suddenly freeze, he asked, "Senior, what's wrong? If you don't like that dish, you can change it."
Seeing that he had misunderstood her meaning, Su Ping quickly waved her hand, signaling the waiter next to her to go and prepare the dishes.
While having dinner with Xu Yichen, Song Yifei suddenly noticed that the two people over there looked familiar. After seeing them clearly, she nudged Xu Yichen's shoulder in surprise.
Xu Yichen placed the peeled shrimp on her plate before turning his head to look over there.
"Wasn't Xiao Qi supposed to be participating in a competition? What's he doing here...?"
Song Yifei looked at Song Qi's face with some confusion.
When did he come back? Why didn't he tell me?
Upon hearing her words, Xu Yichen couldn't help but recall seeing Song Qi leave at Su Ping's house that night, but it seemed that Yifei didn't know about that matter.
He immediately looked away and casually said, "It seems that Uncle Su hired Xiao Qi as Xiao Ping's tutor. They are the same age, so it's normal that they get along well."
Upon hearing this, Song Yifei nodded, but suddenly felt something was amiss. She then looked incredulously at her younger brother, who was smiling at Su Ping.
