In the evening, Su Ping was led by a waiter to a private room.
Since there were some things she needed to confirm, she booked a private room with excellent privacy.
The location is excellent; you can see the river view as soon as you enter.
On the river, a few cruise ships occasionally flashed their lights, their dazzling lights seemingly indicating whether they were hosting parties or doing something else.
"Miss, how many are in your party?"
After Su Ping sat down, she smiled at the waiter and said, "Gentlemen."
The waiter nodded, as if he wanted to say something, but Su Ping waved him out.
She glanced at her phone; the time on it was still about half an hour before their agreed meeting time.
After all, Shen Jiayu had done the Su family such a great favor, so they should be treated well.
However, thinking about the condition he mentioned, Su Ping's feelings were somewhat complicated.
She picked up her phone, opened the camera, and wanted to see her own face.
She wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, but she felt like she hadn't looked her best these past few days. Her skin was already fair, but now it looked even fairer.
Suddenly, her gaze sharpened as she noticed the blue light beneath her hair.
Under the light, she saw that the blue light looked somewhat familiar.
After parting my hair, I saw that I had put an earring on my ear at some point.
It was somewhat similar to the one she had given to Tu Hengchuan last time, but not exactly the same.
But her intuition told her that it belonged to Tu Hengchuan.
But why is his earring on her ear?
Did he put it on for me the night before last?
But why? Doesn't he dislike people touching his earrings?
A series of questions made Su Ping's brows furrow, and her hand unconsciously touched her earlobe.
Before she could think any further, the waiter had already led Shen Jiayu over.
Su Ping quickly grabbed the hair by her ear, trying to cover the earring.
Almost subconsciously, she didn't want others to see the earring, nor did she want them to know about her relationship with Tu Hengchuan.
Shen Jiayu looked like he had just come from the company. He was wearing a well-tailored suit and had an excellent figure. At first glance, he looked like a walking clothes hanger.
Their eyes met across the distance. Su Ping paused for a moment, then looked away first.
Thinking about the questions she would have to ask later, she suddenly didn't know how to look Shen Jiayu in the eye.
Shen Jiayu saw her reaction and smiled gently, giving off a warm feeling.
The waiter looked at the two people with a somewhat awkward atmosphere, feeling a little confused.
Why are these two acting like they're meeting for the first time?
"Sorry to keep you waiting, when did you arrive?"
Shen Jiayu turned and walked towards Su Ping's side.
Seeing this, the waiter quickly went over and pulled out the chair for him.
Hearing him speak to her on his own initiative, Su Ping was stunned for a moment, but quickly came to her senses.
She shook her head and said nonchalantly, "It's nothing, I just arrived too."
After she finished speaking, she glanced at the waiter beside her, signaling him that he could prepare to serve the food.
The waiter gestured, lowered his head slightly, and left the private room, closing the door behind him for the two of them.
Suddenly, only the two of them were left in the private room.
The private room was quite spacious, but Su Ping felt a bit stuffy and couldn't help but pick up the cup next to her and take a sip of water.
Unexpectedly, Shen Jiayu pressed down on her hand, and their eyes met again. Su Ping stared at him, somewhat confused.
But he didn't say anything, he just stared at her.
Under his gaze, Su Ping looked away somewhat awkwardly and asked, "I invited you to dinner today mainly to thank you in person."
Shen Jiayu raised an eyebrow, feigning ignorance as he asked, "Oh? What are you thanking me for?"
"I know you stepped in to help with my dad's company issues, thank you."
Seeing that she got straight to the point, Shen Jiayu stopped pretending. He leaned back slightly, adopting the posture of a superior, with a smile always on his face.
"You know, what I want isn't a thank you."
Su Ping didn't speak. She knew what he wanted, but she didn't know how to answer him.
As if sensing her concerns, Shen Jiayu placed his hand on the table and tapped his fingers on it repeatedly.
"Don't worry, aside from dealing with the elders in my family, I won't do anything excessive to you. If you're really worried, we can sign a contract."
Hearing him say that, Su Ping looked up at him in surprise.
I noticed that his gaze was open and honest, as if he were really discussing something very ordinary.
Can she trust him?
Shen Jiayu wasn't in a hurry. He just watched her and saw Su Ping's attitude soften little by little.
"Okay, I trust Mr. Shen's character..."
Shen Jiayu's smile widened, and the next second, he heard Su Ping continue, "But one thing at a time, the contract still needs to be signed."
He's a frequent businessman, so it's always good to have some evidence of these things, otherwise it might be hard to explain later...
As if he had expected her to say that, Shen Jiayu nodded, took out his phone, and sent a message.
"Okay, I've contacted my assistant. He'll bring the contract up later."
Su Ping was somewhat surprised. How could he be so sure that she would agree?
But thinking about it, it makes sense, because he is Shen Jiayu, the one who can manipulate people's hearts perfectly.
