Upon hearing her words, Shen Jing's anger flared up instantly.
Does she mean she thinks she's inferior to Shen Jiayu?
Shen Jing looked at the woman in front of him who was oblivious to her own mortality, and stepped forward, intending to teach her a lesson about self-awareness as a woman.
Unexpectedly, the woman in front of him didn't flinch, but just stood there watching him calmly.
Are you so confident because you think he wouldn't dare?
Shen Jing sneered inwardly and reached out with both hands to grab Su Ping.
However, before he could touch her hand, he heard Shen Jiayu's cold voice coming from the doorway.
What are you doing here?
The sound startled him, and he immediately withdrew his hand and looked towards the door.
Sure enough, Shen Jiayu, who had just gone out to make a phone call, had returned at some point and was now standing at the door, staring at him with a sinister look.
That gaze inexplicably startled him, and he subconsciously put on a fawning smile.
However, before he could speak, Su Ping beside him had already spoken.
Su Ping looked at Shen Jing, whose face had changed drastically, tilted her head and looked at Shen Jiayu with a frightened expression, and said, "Ayu, he suddenly barged into the room and said he wanted me to marry him."
These words made Shen Jing feel like he had seen a ghost. He quickly pointed to the slap mark on his face and looked at Shen Jiayu, saying, "Brother Yu, don't listen to her nonsense. Look, she just slapped me twice. It hurt so much!"
Shen Jiayu didn't speak, but looked at Su Ping as if seeking confirmation of something.
Su Ping showed a look of disgust on her face, moved away from Shen Jing, and then continued, "I was startled by you just now. Who knew you were so ugly? I slapped you twice."
Shen Jing was so angry that her teeth itched. Not only did she slap herself, but she also made a personal attack on him!
Seeing the expression in her eyes, Shen Jiayu finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Thankfully, it seems she wasn't harmed by that bastard Shen Jing.
"What nonsense are you spouting! How could I possibly..."
Before she could finish speaking, as if remembering something, she looked at Shen Jiayu, whose expression was gloomy, and explained, "Brother Yu, that's not what I meant, I really didn't..."
Shen Jiayu was too lazy to listen to him anymore. He walked straight over and shielded Su Ping behind him, looking down at him and warning, "Stop with your dirty thoughts. If you dare to touch her, I don't mind making you spend the rest of your life in jail, wishing you were dead."
It was just a sentence, but Shen Jing felt a chill run down his spine and dared not look him in the eye.
After speaking, Shen Jiayu looked at Su Ping behind him and asked softly, "I just went out to answer a phone call, are you alright?"
Su Ping shook her head. She was fine, but seeing Shen Jing's face full of pimples made her feel disgusted.
She wanted to wash her hands.
Realizing her thoughts, Shen Jiayu looked at Chen Jing, who was standing to the side with his head down, not daring to utter a sound, and frowned, saying, "What are you still doing standing here? In all these years I've been gone, have you really started to think this place is your home?"
Hearing him say that, Shen Jing clenched his fists tightly at his sides, gritted his teeth, and left the room.
Before going down the stairs, he glanced at Shen Jiayu's door and spat.
"It's just a woman, isn't it?" He simply refused to believe it.
If he really touches him, does he think Shen Jiayu would fight him to the death?
The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. He couldn't let those two slaps go unpunished!
Inside the room, Shen Jiayu looked at Su Ping with concern and guilt in his eyes.
"He didn't do anything to you, did he?"
If only he hadn't answered that call! Damn it, why did his assistant have to call him at this hour of all times?!
Su Ping shook her head. She didn't know if it was just her imagination, but she felt like she was scratching a pimple on Shen Jing's face. At that moment, her palm felt sticky.
So, without paying any attention to Shen Jiayu, he went straight into the bathroom and thoroughly washed his hands in the sink.
I was too impulsive just now. Next time, I should check if the other person has pimples before I hit them.
When she came out after washing her hands, she saw Shen Jiayu leaning against the door frame, looking at her with a somewhat subtle expression.
Before she could speak, Shen Jiayu, as if he had been pondering for a long time, raised an eyebrow and asked with a half-smile, "You don't like me?"
Su Ping was taken aback, remembering the words she had said when she slapped Chen Jing earlier.
Did he hear that?
Although she did look down on him, it didn't seem right to say it to his face.
Moreover, my father's company was able to turn the tide thanks to him.
Su Ping decided to give him some face, so she smiled, walked up to him, and poked his shoulder.
"What are you saying, Ah Yu? I was just so angry with him that I said some hurtful things."
"With such great qualities as Ah Yu, he's bound to be very popular with girls. How could anyone not be interested in him?"
Shen Jiayu didn't hear a word she said, but instead seized on her last sentence and immediately asked, "And what about you?"

Su Ping blinked, realizing that Shen Jiayu was asking her if she had taken a liking to him.
He doesn't even like himself, so why does he care if she likes him or not?
But since she had agreed to pretend to be his girlfriend, she had to play the part completely. Su Ping glanced at the figure in a cheongsam who appeared at the door, stepped forward, put her hand on Shen Jiayu's neck, and looked him in the eye.
Her movements were fluid and graceful, and her sudden closeness made Shen Jiayu's breath catch in his throat. Instantly, all he could see were her cunning eyes.
