Hey everyone, this is Zhaozhao.
It's the early morning of April 6, 2025. I feel a bit sad and almost cried. For the past few days, I haven't known how to end their story.
I know this ending is hard for everyone to accept, including myself.
I always felt it shouldn't be like this, but they led me here little by little, and it gradually came to match my initial expectations.
Perhaps you've noticed that because my initial idea was for Pingping to complete the mission and return to the real world, the character designs for Song Qi, Shen Jiayu, and Tu Hengchuan weren't as perfect as the traditional male protagonists, which is what you call the flaws.
Because the male protagonist's character isn't perfect, Pingping's appearance is more like a form of salvation for them.
As for Lu Zhiyan, just like I said before, I don't have an outline when I write. He was an inspiration that popped into my head while I was writing. He also has a certain bond with Pingping, which is why he was so dependent on her when they first met.
His appearance gradually steered the story in a different direction, one I hadn't initially anticipated, and it yielded an unexpected result.
I always feel that the characters I create are flesh and blood and should not be limited, but this is also a drawback, as it is easy to go off-topic and the plot can easily get out of control.
I've been reading all your comments, and I never imagined that so many people would come to like them despite their imperfections. Even my own initial thoughts are slowly changing. It's a painful and helpless situation.
I started writing this book at the end of May 2024 and finished it at the beginning of April 2025. It was also the first time I had ever written a novel so completely.
It may not be perfect, but I'm still grateful to some of you who have stayed with me all this time (bows). Many times when I felt like giving up, it was your heartwarming comments that kept me going.
There have been a few particularly difficult periods. One was when I had written over 300,000 words, because I was a bit stressed about work. But I was gradually healed by my friends and all of you.
Then I slowly continued writing, and when I reached 500,000 words, I found it unbelievable. Later, I thought that since I had already reached 500,000 words, I should try my best to reach a million words.
And that's how the rest of the story began.
I recognize almost all the readers who have followed me along the way, as long as they are active in the comments section and haven't changed their nicknames.
I am truly grateful to you all for your constant encouragement and support, for giving me the courage to keep writing when I was struggling with writer's block and wanted to give up.
My dear readers are truly the cutest and best fairies in the world. I'm so happy to have met you all. I even secretly read some of the things you chat about in the group sometimes.
Seeing you all supporting and encouraging each other, I sometimes really miss my own school days.
Beautiful and innocent.
I've rambled on for so long without realizing it, and I don't even know if you've finished reading it. Thank you again!
That's all for the main text. I'll add some extra chapters later, but it's too long, so I might have to read it all over again myself. I might have forgotten some of the plot details.
I'm so grateful for your support. Thank you to all the lovely people who have read this far. You are truly the cutest people in the world. I love you all!
Finally, if you've read this far, could you recommend some books you're looking for, and maybe give them a rating?
See you in the next book! Feel free to leave a comment if you have any ideas for what kind of settings you'd like to see, and I'll see if there's anything I'd like to include. 😐
