Su Jie locked the door and pulled Su Hongji into Chunmai Noodle Shop.
Because of the discount today, and it being lunchtime, the restaurant was quite crowded.
However, this time Fu Linchuan's shop was quite large, so Su Jie and Su Hongji found an empty spot on the first floor to sit down.
The two ordered a large bowl of meat noodles, a bowl of chicken soup noodles, and some vegetarian braised dishes.
Su Jie picked up a seaweed knot and said, "Brother, I've never seen seaweed cooked like this before."
As she spoke, she put the seaweed into her mouth, and her eyes lit up immediately.
"Brother, you should try it, it's really delicious."
Su Hongji originally had no interest in these things; in his opinion, they were not as good as the pork ribs stewed at home.
However, once the food enters the mouth, it's a different story. There are some places in Xuancheng that sell braised meat and cooked food, and some of them taste pretty good.
However, this restaurant's flavor is clearly very unique.
Su Jie ate her noodles, nodding repeatedly, looking very satisfied.
"How is it, bro? Isn't it delicious?"
Su Hongji picked up a noodle and said, "I must say, it really doesn't taste like anything I've had before. This restaurant owner is amazing; where did he find the chef?"
Su Jie smiled and said, "I had already inquired beforehand. Their boss is the chef himself, and he prepares all the food himself."
After lunchtime, the noodle shop became quiet.
As Fu Linwei packed his things, he said, "It's the first day, and I was worried that no one would be here. It's actually going well."
Sun Xiangdong said, "Brother Dawei, you call this alright? There are already a lot of people here, and this is our first day of business."
Fu Linwei laughed and said, "In Wangshan County, our noodle shop is packed every day, especially before New Year's Eve. People who want to buy things can't even get them."
Sun Xiangdong said, "I've also heard about this. In the end, it's because Da Chuan's ingredients taste better, and the braised meat we sell is also of good quality, with absolutely no shortchanging."
Fu Linchuan walked over and said, "Post the notice tomorrow. We need to hire two waiters for the store."
Fu Linwei had experience hiring waiters, so he said, "Okay, I've got it."
When things were almost done and the shop was quite quiet, the door opened.
Fu Linchuan looked outside and saw Su Jie.
He stood up. "Didn't Boss Su come for noodles at noon?"
Su Jie smiled and said, "So you saw me at noon? I was thinking you were so busy that I didn't even notice."
Fu Linchuan didn't see Su Jie, but Fu Linwei did, and told him about it in the kitchen.
"I'm not here for noodles, I'm here to give you a gift."
Should I give a gift?
Fu Linchuan pondered that although he had just rented the shop here and would be considered a neighbor to Su Jie in the future, it was not yet time to give a gift upon first meeting her.
However, since Su Jie had already come, Fu Linchuan couldn't possibly kick her out.
It's a matter of reciprocity; next time Su Jie's family has an event, he'll simply return the favor.
"Thank you," Fu Linchuan said. "I've booked a table at the Dongfeng Hotel for noon the day after tomorrow."
Su Jie sat down opposite Fu Linchuan. "Then I won't go eat. Sunday is the busiest time. I'm hoping to sell a couple more pieces of clothing over the weekend."
“That’s true.” Fu Linchuan said with a smile, “Then I’ll invite you to dinner when you’re not busy.”
Su Jie was very excited after hearing this, and she also wanted to have dinner with Fu Linchuan.
"Alright, we'll talk about it later." Su Jie asked, "Mr. Fu, what do you think of the clothes you picked out for your wife last time?"
Fu Linchuan smiled and said, "It fits perfectly. After I've settled in here for a while, I'll have my wife come over to your store to choose some new spring clothes."
Su Jie hid her loneliness and told herself that she had feelings for Fu Linchuan, but he had a wife, so she shouldn't think about anything else.
It would be great if they could be friends.
“Sure, I’ll be going to the south soon to bring back some new styles, so my sister-in-law can choose some.”
Fu Linchuan packed a bag of candy for Su Jie and handed it to her, saying, "Thank you for coming to congratulate me on the opening of my new store. Take this home and eat it."
Su Jie didn't refuse and took the candy directly before returning to the shop.
In the days that followed, Chunmai Noodle Shop hired waiters.
Fu Linchuan and Fu Linwei are busy at the noodle shop for the time being, while Sun Xiangdong and Zhang Xianglong are busy at the factory.
Fu Tongyuan told Fu Linchuan the details of the new batch of orders, and the factory began a new round of busy work.
Knowing that the factory was getting busy, Fu Tongzhou and Zheng Yumei also got in their car and rushed over to help.
Fu Linchuan originally intended to hire people at the factory first, but seeing that they could still manage, he put the hiring on hold for the time being.
However, there was one thing that needed to be put on the agenda: Fu Linchuan was preparing to buy a truck.
He has never had the chance to take a driving test in his life, because taking a driving test in the 1980s was actually very troublesome, and it was impossible to pass the test in a short period of time.
Furthermore, even if he had a driver's license, it would be impossible for him to stay at the factory and drive.
Fu Linchuan plans to buy trucks for the factory once business stabilizes, and then hire a driver to facilitate delivery.
As for him taking his own driving test, we'll talk about that after he takes the college entrance exam.
Less than half a month later, the two newly hired waiters at the noodle shop had also gotten the hang of things, and Fu Linchuan was about to leave the noodle shop.
To put it bluntly, this store was set up with Fu Linwei as the manager, so he could make decisions on his own.
After taking some time out, Fu Linchuan would busy himself with factory matters, then look for a place to live, and then study in his spare time.
He searched for a house for a month and finally found a detached house that was ready for sale.
The house is about a 30-minute walk from where he now runs his noodle shop, which isn't really that far.
