Chapter 71 Mr. Fu meets Lin Qingyou

“Mr. Fu, this is my father, Lin Qingyou, and my mother, Zheng Yumei.”

Lin Chuan introduced the two sides to each other.

Fu Tongyuan extended his right hand and shook hands with Lin Qingyou and Zheng Yumei.

Lin Qingyou and Zheng Yumei were quite uncomfortable with this, but they knew it was a matter of politeness.

Fu Tongyuan laughed and said, "You've raised a fine son. He's truly remarkable."

Lin Qingyou smiled sheepishly, “To be honest, Da Chuan really didn’t ask us to support him. He’s so successful all on his own. We, as his parents, really owe him a debt.”

Fu Tongyuan naturally had no idea about Lin Chuan's family situation.

Although Lin Chuan was grateful to Fu Tongyuan for introducing him to business, he didn't know anything about his family situation and went to talk to Fu Tongyuan about it.

Lin Chuan said, "Dad, don't say that. We all had a hard life before, and no one owes anyone anything."

Fu Tongyuan nodded, "Da Chuan is right, that makes sense."

At noon, Lin Chuan took everyone out and said he wanted to treat Fu Tongyuan to lunch.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, Fu Tongyuan said, "Lin Chuan, you've worked hard these past few days, so this meal is on me. Besides, this is the first time I'm meeting your parents, so we're practically new acquaintances."

Lin Chuan immediately said, "Mr. Fu, if you want to treat me when we go to Kyoto, I will naturally agree, but we are in Xuancheng now, so that won't do."

Lin Qingyou also said, "Yes, Mr. Fu, you introduced such a big business opportunity to Da Chuan."

Fu Tongyuan looked at Lin Qingyou carefully. For some reason, he felt a strange sense of familiarity with this middle-aged man with a dark complexion and a slightly hunched back.

Normally, Fu Tongyuan wouldn't pry into other people's family affairs, but today he couldn't help himself. "Qingyou, have you lived in Yuquan Village since you were little?"

Lin Qingyou thought for a moment, "According to my mother, our family came to Yuquan Village later. When I was a child, the war was fierce. My mother said that the old villages were all bombed to death, so she and my father took me to Yuquan Village."
