Xu Yingcai sat there until dawn.
Fu Linchuan woke up early and when he got out of bed, he saw Xu Yingcai with dark circles under his eyes, hugging the quilt and staring blankly.
"Xu Yingcai, do you stop sleeping because you have nightmares?"
Xu Yingcai snapped out of his daze upon hearing Fu Linchuan's voice.
"You...you're talking nonsense!"
Fu Linchuan curled the corners of his lips. "Your reaction is quite dramatic. Xu Yingcai, you're only afraid of ghosts knocking on your door because you've done something wrong."
"I don't understand what you mean. Are you sick?" Xu Yingcai turned over and lay back down.
Xu Yingcai and his classmates didn't have class in the first period today, so they stayed in their dorm room.
When it was time to go to class, I saw that some classmates had newspapers.
“Look at this report. It says that the Chunmai Noodle Shop behind us donated so much delicious meat and vegetables to the orphanage as a welfare benefit for the children.”
“I’ve heard about it too. Fu Linchuan is a really good person. Yesterday, his shop was extorted, but he didn’t care. He was still thinking about giving the children meat for free.”
"See that? It says that Chunmai Noodle Shop delivers meat to the orphanage every month."
"Let's go and show our support, have a couple more bowls of noodles, and then we'll get a share of the meat delivered to the orphanage."
"I think it's a good idea, I'll go in a bit."
