Chapter 153 Do you really care about Ajin?

Hearing the clattering sounds of things being moved upstairs, Murong Xiao calmly sipped his coffee, looking out the window with a casual and peaceful expression, seemingly completely unconcerned about the commotion upstairs.

Seeing him like this, Xiangqi was overjoyed.

It seems that Murong Xiao really doesn't like Xiang Jin, which is a great thing for her. However, she still has to put on a show. In order to get closer to Murong Xiao, she kept telling him how close she and Xiang Jin were, and how much she cared for her younger sister. Inadvertently, she created an image of a kind, elegant and noble older sister for herself.

It was after saying all this that she became the new spokesperson for "Deep Sea".

Xiang Qi thought she had Murong Xiao under control, so she simply continued to portray herself in this way. Right now, her dear younger sister was upstairs venting her anger, and as the older sister, she naturally had to go and check on her.

"My sister seems to be throwing a tantrum again. I'll go up and coax her first." The word "again" is used very cleverly, making it seem as if Xiang Jin has always been willful, thus subtly portraying her sister as an unreasonable person.

Before Murong Xiao could say anything, the phone rang. He put down his coffee and went to the adjacent terrace to answer the call.

Seeing that he was busy, Xiang Qi chose a seat closest to Murong Xiao and sat down quietly to wait.

This call lasted a long time, almost an hour, but it finally ended.

Seeing Xiang Qi sitting leisurely on the sofa picking out clothes, Murong Xiao frowned: "Miss Xiang, didn't you say you were going to persuade your sister? Why are you still here?"

Xiang Qi quickly stood up and explained, "It's because you didn't reply, Ah Xiao, that's why I..."

"If you truly care about your sister, do you need my permission?" His words were somewhat sharp. "Miss Xiang, are you really concerned about Ajin?"

If she truly cared, her younger sister would be upstairs sulking after being discharged from the hospital; how could the older sister possibly be in the mood to play on her phone here? He had always maintained a proper distance from Xiang Qi simply because she was A Jin's older sister, nothing more.

Xiang Qi always talked about how close she was to Xiang Jin when they were young, and she always spoke highly of Xiang Jin. Since Xiang Jin was so kind to him, Murong Xiao felt a sense of goodwill towards her and was willing to make amends to her tenfold or even a hundredfold. This is why he gave Xiang Qi the "Deep Sea" spokesperson position and why he was willing to let Xiang Qi into the villa.

He just felt that with Ah Jin's close friends around, she might be happier and more at ease.

After all, he couldn't set aside his prejudices to see her for the time being. The child was still a pain in his heart, and every time he thought about it, he couldn't help but feel the pain of hating her.

Murong Xiao's question was spot on, and Xiang Qi immediately felt a little guilty. She quickly explained, "Xiao, you misunderstood me. I was just thinking that my sister needs to rest and be quiet, so I didn't disturb her."

She became more and more aggrieved as she spoke.

Murong Xiao frowned even more: "I've said it before, I won't repeat myself."

She shouldn't be called "Ah Xiao".

Xiang Qi was clearly unaware of the problem. She thought Murong Xiao was referring to her concern for her sister, so she quickly nodded to indicate that she understood and would never forget the purpose of her visit.

Soon it was time for dinner.

Xiang Jin hasn't come downstairs yet.

Zhou Zhou stood at the door, looking on with bated breath, but couldn't see her lovely wife. She had already gone to call her, but her wife only said she didn't want to eat and had no appetite. Zhou Zhou coaxed her gently, and she finally said she would come downstairs to eat something, but she didn't know when she would come downstairs.

Ten minutes later, Xiang Jin finally came downstairs.

Murong Xiao put down the financial magazine in his hand and turned to go to the dining room.

Xiang Qi stood next to Murong Xiao without hesitation.

After Murong Xiao took her seat in the main seat, she looked at the remaining seats and naturally chose the one closest to the main seat, on her right. The moment she sat down, Butler Feng behind her quickly leaned over and whispered, "Excuse me, Miss Xiang, our madam often sits in this seat. Would you like to move to the other side?"

Xiang Qi simply wiped her hands elegantly, pretending not to have heard what Butler Feng said.

What a joke! Why should she be replaced just because Xiang Jin always sits in this position? What kind of wife is she? She's still a guest, shouldn't the guest's needs be more important than the host's?

Besides, this position is the most suitable for serving food to Murong Xiao, so she doesn't want to change it.

Seeing that the other party did not react, and Murong Xiao beside him did not express his opinion, Butler Feng did not know what to say. He silently retreated from the table to the back, but his respect for Miss Xiang Qi had diminished.

Xiang Jin, who was a step too late, saw Xiang Qi sitting in her seat as soon as she entered the living room. Murong Xiao, who was next to her, seemed to have tacitly agreed and did not say anything. Xiang Jin smiled calmly and chose a seat far away from both of them.

The atmosphere in the dining room became even more eerie.

They exchanged glances, none of them quite understanding how things had turned out this way.

The wife's sister came to visit. She should have been a guest, and guests should sit in the guest seat. But she took the wife's seat instead. The wife was even more strange. She neither seemed to care nor seemed to be indifferent. She acted as if it didn't matter.

What's even stranger is the young master's attitude. Isn't the young master always cold on the outside but warm on the inside? Everyone knows that he usually acts fiercely towards his wife, but in reality, he cares about her more than anyone else. Yet he didn't mention anything about it.

"Everyone's here, let's eat."

At Murong Xiao's command, the butler behind him hurriedly stepped forward to serve him food. However, before his hand could even reach the plate, Xiang Qi had already picked up the sweet and sour fish from the plate and placed it on Murong Xiao's plate.

Her expression was gentle: "Ah Xiao, how did you know I like sweet and sour fish? Let's try it together."

That's as if the sweet and sour fish was prepared especially for her.

Looking at the things on the plate, Murong Xiao frowned deeply.

Butler Feng, standing nearby, was sweating profusely: "Miss Xiang, our young master doesn't like sweets. This dish was specially made for Madam."

After he finished speaking, he waved his hand, and Zhou Zhou immediately brought the sweet and sour fish to Xiang Jin. Several other dishes that were prepared for Xiang Jin were also taken over during this time, and someone else took away Murong Xiao's bowl and replaced it with a new one.

“Miss Xiang, please feel free to eat whatever you like. I will take care of the young master.” Butler Feng politely declined.

Feeling humiliated, Xiang Qi's face turned somewhat unpleasant. Although the table was laden with delicious and abundant dishes, her favorite was the sweet and sour fish that had been taken away. She was told to eat whatever she wanted, but in reality, she had no choice at all.

These lowly slaves are clearly bullying her.

She was extremely unwilling to accept it.

"Ah Xiao, I have a sensitive stomach and can't eat spicy and salty food. That sweet and sour fish is just right for me. I..." She turned to Xiang Jin with a pitiful look. "Ah Jin, don't you dislike sweets? Why don't you give that sweet and sour fish to your sister?"
