Chapter 79 Surgery

Murong Xiao never appeared again.

Only Zhou Zhou was busy taking care of her.

After a consultation with experts, Xiang Jin's surgery was scheduled for three days later.

In recent days, so-called experts have come to see Xiang Jin one after another and analyzed her condition. Among these doctors, who were all relatively old, Xiang Jin saw Sun Yanqing.

"What a coincidence, Jin. It turns out the patient I'm supposed to consult on is you." Sun Yanqing smiled modestly and poured her a glass of water.

Xiang Jin was astonished.

“It was your husband who hired them. Even the specialists you’ve seen these past few days were selected by him from among the world’s most renowned specialists. You have no idea how difficult it was to get all these specialists together.”

"How difficult will it be?" Xiang Jin asked.

"To put it another way, it's like asking the gods of twelve countries to put down their followers and concentrate on fighting a monster. These gods are not to be trifled with; they are not so easily manipulated, and it's not something that can be done simply by having power and influence."

Xiang Jin stood with his hands down, saying nothing.

“Ah Jin, you and your husband…” Sun Yanqing hesitated before speaking.

He always felt that their way of getting along was too strange.

If he cared about her, why hadn't he visited her during her two-week hospital stay? If he didn't care about her, why had he gone to such lengths to treat her and personally selected the specialists?

"My relationship with him is too complicated. I'll tell you about it later." Xiang Jin picked up her pen and wrote.

"Okay, as long as Ah Jin is happy and content, that's all that matters. If he treats you badly, I'll beat him up even if it's the King of Heaven himself."

Xiang Jin had never seen Sun Yanqing hit anyone before, and just thinking about the scene made her want to laugh.

The day of the surgery arrived quickly.

Murong Xiao still did not appear.

"Madam, you're about to go into the operating room. Should we call the young master?" Since she's about to have surgery, being in a bad mood might affect her health. Zhou Zhou hopes his wife will enjoy good health and a long life.

Xiang Jin put down her phone.

There's nothing worth fighting.

Aside from the relatively warm days in Fengjia Village, there's not much left to say between them.

Xiang Jin was wheeled into the operating room.

"Didn't he come?" Sun Yanqing asked.

Xiang Jin didn't say anything.

"It's okay, I'm here, I'll make sure nothing happens to you."

Xiang Jin smiled and nodded.

The surgery lasted a full six hours.

In the empty hospital corridor, only Zhouzhou waited anxiously.

When Xiang Jin was wheeled out, his throat was wrapped in thick gauze, and a large group of serious experts followed behind him, each of them stern and unsmiling.

"What? Did the surgery fail, Madam?" Zhou Zhou was about to cry.

"The surgery was a success, please don't worry. You'll be able to speak after a period of rest," Dr. Wu said to the nurse beside him. "Go and notify the family."

On the other side, in the high-rise building opposite the hospital.

From this angle, you can see the place where Xiang Jin is hospitalized.

"Young Master, the surgery was a success, you can rest assured." After receiving the call from the hospital, Su Ming immediately went to Murong Xiao.

Murong Xiao didn't say anything. He buttoned up his suit jacket and said, "We're leaving in half an hour for England."

"There's still time, young master, won't you go and see your wife?"

"Whether she lives or dies is none of my business."

Su Ming: "..."

It's none of your business? Then why are you standing here like a statue waiting for your wife? And why are you asking about every little thing?

As expected, the young master's stubbornness and soft-heartedness are incurable.

………………

Xiang Jin stayed in the hospital for half a month.

For the past two weeks, apart from Zhouzhou who takes care of her and Aunt Yang who delivers meals, no one else has come.

If it weren't for the fact that the detached ward had a small garden to stroll in, Xiang Jin would have felt like she was back in prison.

For the first few days, her wound didn't heal, and she even had difficulty drinking water. After a few days of rest, she was able to slowly start speaking, although it was just simple syllables, but she was already very happy.

A few days later, she was able to say a short sentence, but her voice was still a little weak.

That day, Zhou Zhou was taking a walk in the garden with Xiang Jin as usual when they suddenly saw Lin Anrong.

"My son has hidden you well. If it weren't for some tricks, I still wouldn't be able to find you now." Lin Anrong looked at Xiang Jin, her eyes filled with undisguised disdain.

"Is there anything I can help you with, Madam?" Xiang Jin asked softly.

Lin Anrong lowered her eyes and sneered.

"Xiang Jin, you don't think that the Murong family will accept you just because your voice is better, do you? Let me tell you, that's impossible."

A card was placed in front of Xiang Jin.

“There’s five million here, enough for you to live on for the rest of your life. I hope you can leave my son and never appear in front of him again.” Lin Anrong adopted the posture of a negotiator.

Xiang Jin smiled.

I never imagined that a scene from a TV series would actually happen to me.

She deftly took the card back: "Okay, I agree."

Now it was Lin Anrong's turn to be stunned.

She had prepared a whole host of words to teach Xiang Jin a lesson, but they were all shut down by just one sentence from her.

"You really are no good," Lin Anrong said sarcastically.

Xiang Jin fiddled with the card: "You're right, I'm not exactly a saint. So, to ensure the smooth running of this negotiation, I'd like to ask you to write a statement proving that the five million in the card was a free gift. Only with your signature and fingerprint can it be considered valid."

"you--"

Lin Anrong was speechless.

"If you're not going to write it down, then this deal is off." Xiang Jin pushed the card back.

"Write it down then." Lin Anrong took out paper and pen from her pocket, wrote out an instruction manual, signed it, and handed it to Xiang Jin.
