!!
Xiang Jin panicked: "Stop the car!"
"Keep going!" Murong Xiao roared.
Su Ming quickly pulled his foot back from the brake pedal, shrinking back as he drove forward at a steady speed.
Gradually, the clothes disappeared from sight.
Xiang Jin dared not speak out in anger, and could only glare at him with her fox-like eyes to show her dissatisfaction.
This dress belongs to Xu Jianshen. After all, he helped her, so she should at least wash it and return it to him. Now, she's even lost the dress.
"Wear this if you're cold."
Murong Xiao, his face dark, draped his coat over her again, covering her completely.
"Don't take it off," he warned in advance.
Xiang Jin: "..."
This person is so strange, so incredibly strange.
After arriving home, Xiang Jin dawdled and waited until Murong Xiao got out of the car before following him into the courtyard.
"What's wrong, Madam? Why do you look so pale? Are you sick?" Aunt Yang came out just then and quickly touched Xiang Jin's forehead.
Murong Xiao, who was going upstairs, suddenly slowed down.
"It's nothing, just a bit of an upset stomach. I'm going upstairs now." Xiang Jin pulled her clothes down a little and looked up to see Murong Xiao still standing in the stairwell.
Xiang Jin dared not move.
After Murong Xiao left, she followed him and went into the room to wash up.
When she came out after washing, her face was even paler.
Aunt Yang came in carrying a tray and placed a bowl of tomato and egg noodles in front of Xiang Jin.
"Why was it brought upstairs? I can eat it downstairs." Xiang Jin was already hungry and had no appetite, so she picked at it a couple of times and put it down.
"Drink this." Aunt Yang handed over another bowl of brown sugar ginger tea and smiled. "This was personally ordered by the young master, who insisted that we watch you drink it."
Xiang Jin was slightly taken aback.
"Don't be fooled by the young master's cold face; he actually cares about his wife. He was so worried when he saw you hadn't come home today and couldn't reach you by phone that he left without even eating."
"You mean, he came all the way to pick me up, not just on his way?"
"Of course, young master went home a long time ago."
Xiang Jin remained silent.
Murong Xiao... how could he possibly go to pick her up? Aunt Yang must have made a mistake.
It must be.
"Didn't Murong Xiao have dinner?"
"Yes, I just asked, and he said he's not eating anymore. But he already has a bad stomach, what if his stomach problems flare up again? Sigh."
"Do you still have tomato and egg noodles?" Xiang Jin asked.
"Anything else? What?"
"Pick a bowl, add some chili, and take it to him. Make sure you watch him finish it."
"Oh, okay." Aunt Yang went downstairs to pick out noodles. Xiang Jin lay on the sofa for a while, then felt her stomach was not so uncomfortable before she went to brush her teeth and wash her face.
After I finished washing up, Aunt Yang came knocking on the door with a smile.
"Amazing! Young Master actually ate it! Madam is amazing!"
"Okay, that's good." Xiang Jin withdrew her gaze, a relieved smile spreading across her lips.
*
After a night's rest, Xiang Jin's complexion improved slightly, but she was still somewhat pale.
She clutched her stomach as she went downstairs, and weakly made her way to the dining room, where she found Murong Xiao sitting at the table eating breakfast.
Xiang Jin was stunned.
It was her first time ever, and she felt a little uncomfortable.
"Madam, you're up. I'll go get you a bowl of porridge." Aunt Yang turned and went into the kitchen, leaving only the two of them in the dining room.
Xiang Jin sat down next to Murong Xiao.
Feeling a little thirsty, she picked up the glass next to her.
"What are you doing?" Murong Xiao roared, quickly snatching the glass from her hand and placing it on the other side of the table.
"I want to drink water..." Xiang Jin said helplessly.
"That glass of water is cold, drink this instead." He handed her his glass. "You're not allowed to drink cold water or touch anything cold for the next few days, or you'll see."
Xiang Jin blinked.
When did Murong Xiao become so considerate? It was as if... he was caring about her.
A sudden ripple of emotion stirred within her, and her ears inexplicably turned red. Xiang Jin slightly raised the corners of her mouth: "Oh..."
At this moment, Aunt Yang brought up a bowl of vegetable porridge.
Xiang Jin's eyes lit up immediately.
She scooped up a spoonful and put it in her mouth, but Murong Xiao quickly stopped her: "It's hot!"
"oh……"
"Why are you still acting like a child? You can't even take care of yourself." Murong Xiao said fiercely.
Xiang Jin was very obedient; she slowly blew on the porridge to cool it down before putting it in her mouth.
The aroma was warm and refreshing; the porridge and vegetables were stewed until very soft, with a hint of meaty fragrance. Xiang Jin nodded happily, her fox-like eyes shining even brighter.
Murong Xiao smiled slightly: "You really like this?"
"Yes, I like it very much."
The corners of someone's lips twitched slightly, the upward curve becoming even more pronounced.
After having breakfast, Xiang Jin arrived at the company.
Kelly walked towards him.
"Xiang Jin, is this how you do things?"
“I told you yesterday, I needed these documents yesterday, why didn’t you get them ready on time?” Kelly confronted her first thing in the morning.
"Who said I didn't do a good job? I sent it to your email last night, did you see it?" Xiang Jin's face was somewhat cold.
Kelly choked.
She quickly opened the email and carefully read through the compiled information.
"Does the team leader have any questions about my work?" Xiang Jin asked.
Kelly's expression was rather unpleasant.
Although it is just a simple document compilation, this material is clear, detailed and vivid, and many parts have been translated. There are no typos to be found.
Kelly was even angrier than she hadn't expected her to handle things so well.
“Well done, I have no doubts.”
