Chapter 129 Human-shaped Body Pillow

As the sun set and the moon rose, Arthur, who had traveled under the stars and moon, hurried back to the castle.

Conrad took the cloak, which was slightly damp from the cold dew.

The Duke took off his coat and handed it to Conrad, casually asking, "Madam... how are you feeling today?"

Conrad simply straightened his coat and replied softly, "Madam is in a very good mood today."

The Duke secretly breathed a sigh of relief and strode towards the stairs.

Then, Conrad behind him said, "Because the West Forest has a new batch of pets."

The Duke paused, a sense of foreboding rising within him. "What pet?"

Conrad said, "A giant golden beetle that can dismantle your large study on the third floor."

The Duke turned his head, placed his hand on his sword, and headed towards the western forest. "Those insects are too dangerous; we can't raise them."

Conrad quickly followed up, saying, "Later, they were forced to take the elven Mr. Leongor's elixir, and now they have become docile... and harmless."

The Duke stopped in his tracks. "Conrad."

He said seriously, "What else is important? Say it all at once."

Conrad said, "In fact, I was just about to report to you..."

Just then, a heart-wrenching meow came from outside the castle gate upstairs, "Meow~~~~~~"

Duke: "…………"

Conrad: "That's what I wanted to tell you."

Seeing the Duke's hand on the sword hilt again, Conrad said, "The lady also said that if you harm her knight, she will..."

The Duke laughed in exasperation. "What?"

Conrad: "...Break up."

Duke: "..."

...

Li Aili stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom, her face showing two faint dark circles under her eyes.

Don't ask her why she did that.

The answer is simple: if 15 Golden Knights were to cause trouble, the destructive power would be no joke.

After tidying up, Li Aili left the room.

The curtains in the Duke's master bedroom were drawn, making the room pitch black. On the large bed in the center of the room, the man reclined like a lazy, large cat...

A big cat, its head buried under a soft feather pillow, had been bothered all night and was suffering from severe morning grumpiness.

Li Aili: "..."

Li Aili held her breath and tiptoed outside.

I only regret not drinking an invisibility potion before coming out.

As she approached the master bedroom door, just as her hand touched the doorknob, a shadow fell from behind her.

Li Aili slowly turned around.

Her boyfriend had two identical dark circles under his eyes.

Li Aili forced a guilty smile, "Hi~ Boyfriend~ Good morning~"

Arthur closed his eyes for a short while before dawn, and now the whites of his eyes were bloodshot.

He braced himself against the door with one arm.

This "wall slam" is definitely not pleasant.

"I didn't close my eyes until dawn," the Duke said, his voice thick with a nasal tone.

Li Aili: "Then you should go back and catch up on some sleep~" ^^

Upon hearing this, the Duke smiled.

Li Aili's scalp tingled from laughing.

Then, Li Aili felt her perspective reversed, and she looked like a weak, pitiful, and helpless kitten, being carried away by the grumpy morning devil.

The Duke patted her with a cold laugh, "Come and catch up on some sleep with me, madam."

Li Aili: "!!!"

So, I took a nap until 10:30 a.m.

The professional butler knocked on the bedroom door frequently.

"Knock, knock knock."

Li Aili, who was being used as a human-shaped body pillow, suddenly woke up and tilted her head back, bumping directly into the Duke's chin.

Tears welled up in her eyes from the pain.

The sleeping man slowly opened his eyes.

For a moment, Li Aili thought she saw him open his two 'eyelids'.

“Conrad,” the Duke said in a low, deep voice.

Conrad's voice came from outside the door, "Sir, if we're any later we'll miss brunch."

...

Half an hour later, the Duke sat down at the dining table with a dark expression.

His wife was sitting across from him at the dinner table today.

Even a basket of fairy honey cream puffs on the table couldn't win her back.

Conrad carried the silver tray to the Duke, seemingly used to the young couple's bickering. "My lord," he said, "a letter has arrived from the capital."

Before the Duke could coax his sweet, soft wife back to sit beside him, his tone carried a hint of displeasure as he asked, "What 'good deed' has that idiot done this time?"

Conrad lowered the tray.

The Duke picked up the secret letter and, without even using a letter opener, simply tore open the envelope.

After unfolding the letter and reading ten lines at a glance.

Li Aili took a 'crunch' and bit into the crispy, buttery cream puff shell.

"The capital? What has the king done now?" Li Aili asked curiously.

Last time, the king sent letters to the dukes of the West and South counties, calling on them to jointly attack the Grand Duke of the North.

And then, that was it.

And, the 'stable incident' that can't be mentioned in the capital...

In short, King Harry is going to become a laughing stock among the nobles behind his back.

How long has it been? And he's already causing trouble again?

The Duke, unconcerned, handed the confidential letter to his wife: "The King has established a 'Secret Order'."

The secret message was very brief, consisting of only a few sentences:

The king established a secret society called the 'Secret Order'.

The 'Secret Order' intended to eliminate the three dukes.

The king wrote a secret letter and sent it to Cardinal Saint Antonio of the Holy See.

The princess successfully joined the Church of the Dark God.

Li Aili: "..." Wow!
