Chapter 136 The Mad Bride

Newly minted best friend Victoria: "There's a red dragon here, wait for me to kill it and I'll give you gold coins~~" (≧≦*)

Li Aili: "Wait!"

Victoria, holding up her wedding dress in one hand and wielding the crimson sword in the other, shattered space itself. "Don't be so polite, Ellie!"

Li Aili: "!!!" Who's being polite with you??

Victoria, dressed in a wedding gown, shattered the void and vanished, leaving behind a group of teammates speechless with shock at her grand ambitions.

Coming to his senses, Leslie said, "You should bring that 'sheep' next time."

Li Aili tried to analyze the situation rationally, "...Theoretically, the most dangerous thing here is probably that dragon. If we kill the dragon, we might be safe."

Assange, who had just regained consciousness, felt that he had not yet been completely cured of the snake venom.

"Leslie, was the serpent demon's poison not completely cured? Otherwise, why did I hear that paladin say he was going to challenge the dragon to a duel? Or was he joking?"

Leslie dutifully explained to her employer, "Miss Employer, paladins can't defeat dragons."

Li Aili: "…………" She was completely dumbfounded.

But there's no time to worry about that now, because the Paladin's ultimate spatial ability is 'Flash'!

Sure enough, as soon as they finished speaking, the lava rock beneath their feet trembled slightly, as if something enormous and terrifying had been awakened.

A furious dragon roar echoed from afar, "Roar—!"

The once pitch-black underground city suddenly seemed to be activated by voice control, with a faint glow emanating from the windows of the mud-brick houses.

One household, two households, ten households, a hundred households, thousands of households...

These faint glows illuminated the entire magnificent, dark city.

Li Aili and the others stood in the very center of Undercity, like ants trapped in a prison.

The whole city was like a Tyrannosaurus Rex that had been awakened, with all sorts of cursing and swearing coming from the windows.

It was an unfamiliar language. Although she couldn't understand it, Li Aili could tell from their accent and intonation that they were swearing horribly.

The adventure team stood outside a simple mud-brick house. From inside the three-story mud-brick house came hurried and chaotic footsteps, and Li Aili broke out in a cold sweat.

She decisively took out seven bottles of alchemical potions from her spatial ring and distributed them one by one to the dragon-slaying squad that was ready for battle.

Stop talking and drink!

"Transformation potion, turn the dwarf into a gray one!"

Everyone pulled off the bottle caps in unison, tilted their heads back, and chugged the contents down.

Soon, everyone except Charmond turned into gray-skinned dwarves.

Six gazes, like sharp arrows, shot towards Charleson, simply because, unsurprisingly, the guy had transformed back into his own appearance.

Li Aili: "..." Damn it!

Dozens of disheveled gray dwarfs rushed out of the nearest simple earthen building.

They were carrying a small fluorescent mushroom lantern for illumination.

The dim mushroom lamps illuminated the disheveled state of the gray dwarves; some wore their helmets askew, some wore their breastplates backwards, and others hopped on one leg, trying to slip their right shoe onto their left.

As soon as the gray dwarves left their dwelling, they saw the long-legged elf standing among the dwarves.

It's like an ostrich standing among chickens; a lighthouse in the dark; a swan among mallards.

The gray dwarf, who was wearing shoes, seemed to be frozen in place, standing on one leg like a rooster. The mushroom lamp he was carrying fell to the ground with a 'thud,' bouncing and flying quite a distance.

Here, one has to admire that this is truly a legendary adventure team.

The veteran team members who had successfully transformed acted almost instantly.

They jumped high into the air, and Wendy Shane delivered a flying kick that landed squarely on Chalmont's back of the knee.

Charmont suddenly knelt down on one knee.

Assange rushed forward and used a grappling move to pin his fellow tribesman to the ground.

Freshly minted 'Grey Dwarf' Leslie: 'We've caught an intruder!'

Li Aili: "..."

The dwarf, wearing dusty gray animal skin boots, came over.

“Very good, well done.” He looked at the unfamiliar face in front of him.

Which squad are you from?

Leslie remained calm and said, "We are about to take this intruder to the cell."

"Roar—!" Another dragon roar.

Seeing that those who came out with the gray dwarf had all gone far away, Li Aili gave White Rose and Wendy Shani a wink.

Then, this 'lucky gray dwarf' who was wearing his shoes on the wrong feet was surrounded by three beautiful women.

Leslie and his companions readily agreed, stepping forward to form a human wall, thus blocking the view of the other grey dwarves.

Where are the fire giants imprisoned?

The gray dwarf stared intently at Li Aili's beautiful face, his eyes practically glued to her. "Fire Giant Spirit, I am..."

The gray dwarf, realizing what was happening, immediately became alert. "Wait! Why are you asking this?"

Li Aili: "White Rose, Wendy Shani."

The two women held the gray dwarf down on either side, and with a swift and clean movement, White Rose dislocated the dwarf's jaw.

Gray Dwarf: "!!!"

Li Aili took out a newly made bottle of alchemical potion and poured it down his throat.

This was the 'real potion' that my brother-in-law wanted to customize in the early days. Later, Li Aili was still itching to make the potion.

It hadn't come in handy until today, but it came in handy in my time of need.

After the potion was poured down his throat, the gray dwarf's expression instantly transformed into one of 'great wisdom,' and Li Aili asked, "Where is the Fire Giant Prison?"

White Rose deftly snapped the gray dwarf's chin back into place with a 'snap'.
