The ground was shaking.
Chunks of soil were falling from the rock wall behind the lower palace.
Immediately afterwards, a terrible howl from a giant dragon was heard.
Li Aili looked up and said, "That's enough, Charles. Go back and pull Assange closer to the Black Tower."
Charmont 'swimmed' in the air and finally climbed to the top floor of the Lower Palace.
Li Aili looked away. "If the dragon here is really killed, what's the worst that could happen?"
Leslie said, "The worst outcome would be nothing more than the Dragon God descending directly."
Assange explained, "Beowulf, the red dragon, is a descendant of the current dragon god."
Everyone perked up at the mention of this gossip, and White Rose said:
"But I've heard that the Dragon God has too many descendants."
Beowulf the Red Crown is the kind of person who doesn't have a good relationship with the Dragon God.
Therefore, the possibility of the Dragon God descending is unlikely.
Li Aili asked curiously, "How bad is it?"
Wendy Shani said, "The more the Dragon God loves gold and silver treasures... the worse His relationship with the 'Red Crown' is."
Li Aili tried to sort out the relationships, "Wait, why is that?"
Wendy Shane: "Because the Dragon God decreed that His offspring must offer her treasures every day."
Assange: "But the colorful dragons are all greedy, and even the Mother Goddess wouldn't dare touch a single penny of theirs."
White Rose concluded, "Therefore, the Dragon God has very few favored children and many unfavored ones."
Leslie said solemnly, "The Red Dragon isn't in much trouble, but if we make too much of a fuss on our side, the chances of a divine intervention are very high."
Which two?
Leslie speculated, "Currently, it's speculated that it might involve 'that person' who controls this."
He took out a gold coin.
Li Aili understood; it meant the God of Wealth.
Leslie reverently took back the gold coins, then pointed to the double-edged axe that Ajahn was carrying, "and the 'one' in charge of making this."
The God of Forging?
Leslie said, "But now, these are no longer problems."
Leslie flicked two fingers, creating a small ball of holy light, which he then casually flicked away, saying, "No one can surpass this one."
Li Aili immediately declared solemnly, "Light will be invincible! It will sweep away evil!"
Leslie: "..."
He readily agreed, saying, "Light will prevail."
Ajahn: "Light."
Wendy Shane said softly, "Light will prevail..."
White Rose: "Light will prevail."
Assange: "Light will prevail!!"
Accompanying these declarations of victory, blinding holy light continuously erupted from the holes blasted into the top floor of the Lower Royal Palace.
And the ground beneath their feet trembled more and more frequently.
Asang asked curiously, "Um, the dragon 'next door' doesn't seem to be roaring much anymore."
Li Aili paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "There is no evil that light cannot eradicate."
Soon, the grappling hook that Assange was holding was tugged.
He looked up.
Then, a figure was seen sliding down a rope through the hole in the top floor.
"Oh, they're out."
Li Aili took out a teleportation scroll and a magic quill pen, and casually asked, "Does anyone know the coordinates of the Sanctuary?"
Everyone: "..."
After a moment of silence, Leslie said, "[867, 653, 129] Saint Nich Empire, Saint John's Church."
Li Aili quickly wrote down the coordinates in the coordinate column of the teleportation scroll.
Looking up, Li Aili saw that the rescued fire giants looked like beads on a string, one after another, squeezing and slid down.
These fire giants have red skin, humanoid appearances, faint flames burning on their heads, and their clothing is very distinctive to their region.
After the first fire giant landed, it grabbed someone and pleaded, "Please! The chieftain's child is still up there!"
"She won't leave!"
"Please, someone please save her!"
Li Aili looked at the large hand gripping her, which was trembling slightly, and said, "Leave it to us, you guys go first."
She tried to infuse the scroll with holy light.
Holy light is naturally a type of magical energy. After the scroll was activated, Li Aili tore it open.
"Let's go there first and hurry up."
The fire giant nodded, having exhausted all her courage in saying those words.
After these fire giants left...
Li Aili took out a bottle of invisibility potion and a teleportation scroll, and quickly instructed, "Who of you will go with them and then try to make a big commotion?"
"After you've said everything you can about what's going on here, shout 'Light will surely sweep away evil!' Then conjure a large orb of holy light, and while it's still dazzling, use the invisibility potion and slip away quietly, understand?"
Everyone: "..."
Leslie took the invisibility potion. "Damn. They're not that smart."
After saying that, he followed him into the portal.
Li Aili said, "I'll go up and see what's going on. I'll give you these two scrolls and the invisibility potion. If something's wrong, run!"
"Run to the Holy See's stronghold, then go invisible, hide, and then teleport back, understand?"
Everyone nodded in a pecking motion, like chicks pecking at rice.
Li Aili took out the Flying Potion 4.0, tilted her head back, and drank it.
She pulled on the grappling hook and slowly rose until she reached the top floor of the Lower Palace. Then, like an astronaut, she slowly floated into the cabin, holding onto the rope.
Seeing this, Li Aili guessed that the entire Lower Palace might have been built to imprison these fire giants.
No wonder the Lower Palace was built with tunnels that looked like rat tunnels; it was a complete mess.
It's probably to prevent anyone from rushing up from below to rescue these fire giants.
