Chapter 160 The Secret of Evolution

Arman looked at Li Aili with his light green eyes.

The man glanced at the maid serving tea in the room.

Does she really trust the Cold Emerald Duke's maid that much?

Li Aili said, "Cousin Alman, you can speak with confidence."

“I assure you, if you don’t want this to get out, it will stay in this meeting room forever.”

Allman leaned forward, his fingertips touching, "Then I'll get straight to the point."

"Not long ago, I happened to hear such a rumor."

"My mother was killed by my father."

"Shortly afterward, the Duke of the North joined forces with the Duke of the Westshire, and the McWells territory was occupied."

Allman stared at Li Aili and asked, word by word:

"Cousin, don't you think the timing of when I received that news was a bit too coincidental?"

Li Aili saw a bubble rise from the top of his head.

But Grandpa's attitude... this news might not be unfounded.

Li Aili took out a bottle of 'Reality Potion' directly from her spatial ring.

"If you have any doubts, why don't you give this bottle of medicine to your father and then ask him yourself?"

Armand squinted slightly, examining the strangely colored potion on the table.

"What's this?"

Li Aili: "The Truth Potion, a potion that makes you tell the truth after you drink it."

Upon hearing this, Arman slightly raised his handsome, sword-like eyebrows. "Oh?"

This cousin Kelan is really something...

A single interjection fully expresses the distrust of alchemical potions.

Li Aili: "..."

She then took out a bottle of 'Real Potion' and placed it on the table.

"Cousin, would you like to try it yourself?"

Allman narrowed his long, narrow eyes slightly, and bubbles appeared above his head:

Is this medicine potentially poisonous?

Li Aili: "..."

She was about to say, "Never mind, if there's nothing else, let's see them out."

After all, she never interfered in Arthur's affairs.

Immediately afterwards, another bubble appeared above Arman's head:

She is completely different from the rumors.

[They wouldn't do something as stupid as poisoning me in Constantinople, would they?]

So, does this potion really make people tell the truth?

So Arman picked up a bottle of 'Real Potion' from the coffee table, uncapped it, and drank it down in one gulp.

Li Aili: "What were you thinking about just now?"

Armand: "I thought you wouldn't be so stupid as to poison me here."

Arman: "..."

He silently raised a hand and covered his thin lips.

Li Aili asked with great interest, "Why did you come here?"

A muffled, low voice came from between his fingers, "Grandpa said that perhaps we can use you to sow discord between the Duke of West County and the Duke of the North."

Li Aili: "..." Hehe.

Arman: "..."

The sibling bond that never existed in the first place instantly plummeted to a negative value.

Armand stood up abruptly. "Farewell. No need to see me off."

After saying that, he took a long stride and walked out.

He had already left the study, but then he turned back and silently took the alchemical potion from the table.

Li Aili stood up from the sofa, walked to the window, and watched the tall Arman walk out of the castle.

Armand's words proved that the old Marquis Coran had already sensed the difference in this war.

Simply put, the nobles in the capital are probably still indulging in debauchery.

They did not believe that an alliance between the two dukes could truly shake the rule of the Clark royal family.

But the old Marquis of the Kelan family had already sensed something different about this matter.

Furthermore, he took proactive measures in advance.

only……

Li Ai Li watched as the castle servants led Arman's horse.

The first in line to inherit the Kelan family's throne mounted his steed.

Before leaving, he looked up and his eyes met those of Li Aili by the window.

Arman gave Li Aili a slight nod in greeting, then cracked his whip and galloped out of the castle on his steed.

Sitting in the empty living room, Li Aili suddenly realized that living in a house that was too big wasn't a good thing either.

When I have free time, I feel empty.

So, Li Aili simply put her next adventure on the agenda.

After making her decision, Li Aili immediately went back to her bedroom and changed into her adventure outfit.

After making all the preparations, Li Aili left the bedroom and headed straight for the West Forest.

Stepping into the West Forest, she slapped her forehead, "I almost forgot about Conrad!"

So, it turned on its toes and headed straight for the Sphinx's territory.

Just as Li Aili walked over, Conrad turned around.

“Madam,” Conrad said.

Bognar flicked his dragon tail, "Oh, you've come at the right time, he's about to hatch."

Then, the cocoon of light on the ground began to crack open little by little.

Suddenly, a huge hairy claw shattered the cocoon of light and lashed out from within.

With its claws brutally tearing apart the remaining cocoon of light, the Sphinx, its appearance drastically changed, stood up, raised its head, and let out a deafening roar, "Awooo!"

It startled countless birds that were roosting in the woods.

The Sphinx after waking up resembled a statue in front of a pyramid, its face becoming more human-like.

He wore a blue crown on his head, symbolizing wisdom.

Seeing that he was unharmed, Li Aili asked, "Why did you suddenly faint?"

The evolved Sphinx immediately shrank its neck in disgust.

That terrifying creature asked me a question...

Li Aili: "..."

A terrifying creature? Referring to Arthur?

Li Ai Li turned to Conrad and said, "Conrad, could you go back to the castle and call Edward for me?"
