Chapter 161 Traditional Holy Dragon Wedding

A well-organized schedule makes time fly by.

On the evening of the 13th, at 8 pm, Li Aili and Arthur completed the final rehearsal of the wedding ceremony.

It was rare that Li Aili wasn't so exhausted that she came home completely flat as a pancake.

The bride needs to make sure she gets enough sleep, as tomorrow is her important wedding day.

"Go to bed early when you get home. Have you had some dark circles under your eyes these past few days? Don't drink too much water, or your face will swell up..." Joanna kept nagging.

Li Aili, however, was thinking about something else entirely…

Should we get Arthur drunk tomorrow...?

Wait, wait a minute... is her boyfriend drunk?

Ordinary wines seem to be unsuitable, but what about wines made using alchemical methods?

“My dear,” Arthur called softly to his wife, who was still sitting inside the carriage, lost in thought, as he stood beneath the carriage.

"Huh?" Li Aili looked over blankly.

Arthur looked at her, then simply stepped onto the carriage steps, leaned into the carriage, and carried her out horizontally.

Li Aili: "!"

It was still cold, but Arthur felt warm all over.

Arthur possesses two distinctly different qualities: one is the noble and aloof air of the Holy Dragon Royal Family, and the other is the aura of a ruthless war god honed through years of battlefield combat.

Ironically, the combination of these two qualities is irresistibly charming.

Li Ai Li couldn't help but beckon to Arthur with her finger, "Your Excellency the Duke."

The servants opened the gate to greet their two masters, but kept their heads bowed.

Arthur lowered his head slightly and brought his ear close to Ellie's mouth.

"...Do you know that you are very attractive?"

The Duke paused in his steps.

Li Aili could clearly feel the arms around her tightening.

Arthur took a deep breath and then walked quickly to Ellie's bedroom.

For some inexplicable reason, it was like a wild beast 'carrying' its little sweetheart back to its den.

The Duke gently placed her on the soft bed and said meaningfully, "Go to sleep early, my dear, tomorrow will be tiring."

After saying that, he gently kissed Li Aili's forehead, but the kiss lingered for a long time.

As a result, this one sentence terrified Li Aili so much that she couldn't sleep.

He lay in bed tossing and turning until 1 a.m., on the verge of becoming the first giant panda in this other world...

On the spur of the moment, she decided to use alchemy to concoct a cup of wine for her future husband that would make even alchemical creatures drunk.

But as the saying goes, you can dodge the first day of the month, but you can't dodge the fifteenth.

If they really did that once... that scoundrel would be furious.

So, Li Aili pulled out a bottle of 'weak sleeping pills'.

This was given to her by her second apprentice, Jasmine, a few days ago; it was made by the Lord of the Demon Tower.

Oh, now I should say, he was the (former) Lord of the Magic Tower, and (current) Alchemist Hand.

After taking a bottle of weak sleeping pills, Li Aili's eyelids began to feel heavy, and she quickly fell into a deep sleep.

He was shaken awake by Joanna the next day, screaming, "Ahhh! Your Highness!!"

When Li Aili opened her eyes, Joanna was already frantic.

"You'll be late if you don't get up now!"

Li Aili glanced out the window.

It was still dark.

"You need to take a shower, then put on makeup, and wear your wedding dress... Ah! There's really not enough time!" Joanna finally managed to drag her off the bed.

Annie came out of the bathroom. "The hot water is ready!"

Then, before Li Aili was fully awake, she was stuffed into a bathtub filled with hot water.

With a "plop," she was fully awake.

Early in the morning, all the servants in the mansion turned into busy 'bees'.

At 7 o'clock, the groomsmen and bridesmaids arrived.

When Albert and Victoria walked out of the portal hand in hand, the lively atmosphere froze for a moment.

When Li Ai Li and Arthur walked into the first-floor reception room, only Victoria was holding Albert's hand, chattering away.

"Ugh, I think our wedding is so old-fashioned."

Albert smiled, picked up his teacup, and took an elegant sip of the black tea. "I couldn't help it; I was in a hurry to give you a wedding right after I was resurrected."

Li Aili felt as if an invisible dividing line had appeared in her living room, separating Arthur's people from Albert's...

Oh, that's not right either.

Wolf Winter Wolf, whom we haven't seen in a long time, stood between the two groups of people, like a good-natured peacemaker.

He rarely wore formal attire, and it took him a lot of hair wax to smooth out his wild silver hair.

Upon seeing Arthur, Winter Wolf stood up and bowed to the two of them, "Your Highness."

This was the first time Li Aili had seen Wolf Winter Wolf since she regained her memories.

Seeing him inevitably brings to mind that dazzling Valkyrie of the Holy Dragon.

"Long time no see, little... ah, Wolf."

Wolfe rarely showed a gentle smile. "I heard you've regained your memory. I should have come to visit you sooner."

Li Aili pursed her lips.

I really hope Sophia can see her little wolf grow up...

"It's getting late, the wedding carriages have arrived." Joanna tried to salvage the atmosphere, which was about to drop to freezing point.

Albert stood up and walked over to Arthur, who was dressed in a wedding suit.

The knights in the groomsmen visibly tensed up.

If they were carrying swords at their waists, their swords would probably be drawn by now.

Albert, unusually, did not smile.

When he's not smiling, his overly pale complexion makes him more in line with the stereotypical image of an immortal.

"I think you should take this with you."
