Bogdard never imagined that one day he would become a distinguished guest of the Cloud Giants again.
Li Aili cut to the chase and asked directly, "Why is the arcanist controlling the cloud giant's water? Is there something going on behind this?"
Bognar said, "It was probably more than 700 years ago, I can't remember the exact time, but the cloud giants and arcane mages did have a conflict."
"At first, they got along quite well."
"Arcanists buy the food that the cloud giants grow."
"But soon, the era of arcane technology arrived."
Bognar remarked, "Back then, arcanists earned so much gold that even dragons were envious."
"In fact, quite a few red dragons are indeed..."
Li Aili: "Get to the point, Bogdard."
"Well, after the Archmage slayed the dragon, the cloud giants that were previously restless did behave for a while."
"But after that, it was probably because arcanists were making just too much money."
"Cloud Giant has started raising prices."
"I remember clearly that 791 years ago, the prices in the sky were so outrageous that a single ear of corn cost one hundred million gold coins."
Li Aili: "???"
She looked at the Dysons.
Debbie guiltily looked away, but Dyson honestly replied, "My family wasn't involved in that."
“The ancestors of the Maguire family had already entered into a 1,000-year-old contract for the purchase of crops with my great-grandfather.”
Dyson sighed, "I heard that my great-great-great-grandfather was only happy for a few days when he heard that another cloud giant sold a single ear of corn for a hundred million."
Bognar picked up his cup and took a big gulp of water. "One ear of corn from the Cloud Giant, ground into flour, is enough to feed a floating island for half a year."
The Emerald Dragon stroked its chin and said, "Then, something interesting happened. After the giants became rich overnight... they stopped farming."
"The arcanists never expected that even when they offered gold to the cloud giants to cultivate their land, the cloud giants refused."
Bognar seemed to have witnessed the whole thing firsthand. "The Cloud Giant's response to them was, 'When I run out of money, I'll let you farm.'"
Li Aili: "..."
Why don't the arcanists buy food from the ground?
The Emerald Dragon sighed, "Didn't that most famous arcanist have a famous saying?"
The cloud giant and the emerald dragon said in unison, "'If we're going to eat things that grow in the ground like mages on earth, why did we build the floating city in the sky?'"
Li Aili: "…………" Is the main point about you arcanists that you can't eat crops grown in the soil, or that you can't be like mages?
Bognar concluded, "Later, the cloud giants ran out of water, and the arcanists not only made back the money they had spent on buying corn."
"This also turned the cloud giants into 'sky poor'."
Dyson sighed deeply, "Well, maybe... we should just forget about it."
"Actually, our lives are already very good now, and you have already helped us a lot."
Debbie subtly stepped on his foot, then quickly added, "It would be even better if the water price didn't keep rising."
Li Aili glanced at Debbie, "Don't worry about the price increase, you won't have to pay a single penny from now on."
She called over the little bluebird and said calmly, "For this kind of thing, just go find a mage."
"Dear Mr. Macaron,"
Do you remember me? We met briefly in the Sedar Desert.
I apologize for contacting you so abruptly, but it's an urgent matter.
So, my two friends are honest cloud giants.
The arcane mage seemed to have used some kind of magical arcane art, so much so that it never rained where the cloud giant was.
I think the only ones who would dare to risk offending an arcane mage just to do a good deed are mages.
Would you be willing to help them?
An adventurer encountered by chance in the desert.
As soon as Li Aili finished speaking, the little blue bird flew away.
Bogdard: "..."
The Cloud Giants: "..."
Li Aili smiled slightly at the stunned group of people, "That's it, we'll get a reply tomorrow."
"Go to sleep now!"
...
The next morning, as soon as Li Aili opened her eyes, she saw a small blue bird flying around her.
The Bluebird brought a reply from the Archmage Falio Macaron.
Wait here! We're coming!
This letter is so incoherent.
Still half asleep, Li Aili stared blankly at the word 'we'.
A startled cry suddenly rang out from outside the tent: "Something's wrong!!"
Li Aili threw off the covers and rushed out of the tent.
"What happened?"
As soon as she finished speaking, her gaze suddenly and continuously lowered.
Li Aili was stunned for a moment, then realized that the effects of the giantification potion had kicked in.
In the blink of an eye, she returned to her normal size.
Looking again, Zhenzhen and the others had all shrunk to normal size. After the adventure team regrouped, Li Aili asked, "What just happened?"
Wendy Shane pointed to the southern sky, "I saw a large group of unidentified objects flying this way."
Li Aili looked in the direction Wendy Shani pointed and saw a whole row of floating islands rushing towards them side by side.
Li Aili was almost startled.
"Is this an arcane mage's floating city??"
Bognar squinted for a long time, "It looks more like a mage's floating island."
Li Aili recalled the message brought by the little blue bird, "Oh! Then it should be alright, it's Fasheng Macaron..."
Leslie frowned. "...Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, why are there so many?"
