Chapter 183 Allendas City

Although this place is called 'Spider Forest', apart from having many spiders, it has absolutely nothing to do with a forest.

The surface remains in the same style as the underground city—barren and desolate.

All around were tall, thick 'spiky' plants.

In the darkness, these spikes did indeed look like towering trees.

"Sigh..." Leslie sighed.

He held the mushroom lamp and shone it around, seeing those 'spiky' trees that looked like giant trees. "No matter where they are, and no matter which god they worship, 'elves always love the forest'."

Even drow elves.

In the areas unlit by the mushroom lamps, countless tiny, eerie green eyes lit up in the darkness.

They stared at these 'fresh prey', their mouths watering in the darkness, but wary of 'Simon' who was leading the way, they could only hide in the shadows and spy.

The road had an end, and soon they saw the tall, black city walls.

The city walls were guarded by fully armed Drow.

Li Aili and her group hid behind the giant 'earth spikes' and observed the distant city of Erendas.

"Good, we've arrived. Our current objective is to find a way to sneak into the inner city."

"Is no teleportation method going to work?" Leslie asked, unwilling to give up.

"No," the Duke replied succinctly.

“My dear,” the Duke whispered.

While trying to think of a solution, Li Aili absentmindedly replied, "Hmm?"

“Your ‘spider’ has gone past.” As he spoke, he pointed to ‘Simon’, who was heading straight for the city wall.

Li Aili: "!!!"

Simon strode swiftly away from the Spider Forest.

“Come back!!” Li Aili shouted to 'Simon' in a low voice.

But clearly, 'Happy Little Spider' was preoccupied with Rose's nonsense and couldn't hear her calls at all.

Li Aili: "..."

Very well, the easier it was to cross the 'Spider Forest' before, the more trouble she has now.

Hopefully, this 'Simon' won't stand under the city wall and shout at the drow above, 'Open the city gates and welcome Her Majesty the Queen's distinguished guest!'

But the reality is always exceptionally cruel.

Simon really charged all the way to the walls of Allendas City.

Such a large 'spider' could not be missed unless everyone standing on the city wall was blind.

Therefore, from the towering city walls, the enormous spider-like drows became particularly 'conspicuous'.

But soon, the 'friendly talks between the two sides' that Li Aili had imagined did not happen.

"A 'spider' has come out! Quick! What's the patrol doing!?"

"I've already notified them!"

...

The sounds of chaos and turmoil echoed from the city walls, reaching as far as the edge of the Spider Forest.

However, Simon, who caused the riot, didn't care at all.

He turned around and looked at the forest behind him, saying, "Would you like me to escort you up, Your Majesty's distinguished guests?"

The drow on the city wall were terrified. "What is this 'spider' saying?"

"Who knows! They talk nonsense all day long!!"

"Maybe they're summoning the 'spider's' to charge in!! Ugh! Damn it! If they want revenge, they should go after those matriarchs!"

"They're always picking on us!!!"

'Simon' received no response.

However, its confused mind was not enough for it to understand why His Majesty's distinguished guest had not followed.

So he thoughtfully gave Li Aili a demonstration in his own way.

The spider legs effortlessly stepped onto the city wall, defying gravity as if walking on flat ground, and 'swish swish swish'ed up.

The shouts of alarm from the Drow guards echoed from the city walls.

"Damn it! It's coming up!! Idiots!! What are you all still looking at???"

"Are we just waiting to be strung up on a string, dragged back to the 'Spider Forest,' and left to dry on a 'tree'???"

"Fire! Fire arrows now!!!" the commander on the city wall roared hysterically.

Soon, arrows with burning flames shot towards Simon, aiming straight for his vitals.

Simon's body is mostly covered with a hard, ugly spider carapace.

The arrows fired by ordinary guards were not powerful enough to break through this 'shell'.

The burning fire frightens the spider.

Generally, flaming arrows are enough for the drow on the city walls to deal with ordinary 'spider' creatures, but...

The attack of the stray rockets enraged Simon.

Instead of running, Simon charged towards the guards on the city wall, braving the dense barrage of arrows.

"Aaaaaah!! It's not afraid of fire, it's... it's the 'Spider King'!!!"

"Ah—" Soon, a scream that abruptly stopped echoed from the city wall.

Then came an inhuman roar, "Roar—!"

"Simon!!" Tracy was so worried she wanted to climb up the city wall.

She grabbed Li Aili's sleeve, "Can you please save him!?"

Li Aili expressionlessly took out an arcane telescope from her storage ring and silently handed it to Tracy.

Tracy grabbed it and aimed it at the wall.

In the arcane telescope, the giant spider looked like a dancing executioner, its massive legs resembling two wielding swords.

The body of the Drow Guardian was draped over the garment.

The battle was over in less than ten minutes.

Simon knew when to stop, and with his two long legs strung with drow, he jumped off the city wall.

Despite being pursued by countless stray arrows, he ran back to the 'Spider Forest' unscathed.

Li Aili: "..."

After returning to the 'Spider Forest' with its spoils, the little spider's first task was to entertain its guests.
