Chapter 185 Suspicion

"It's time. I'll go down and see if I've caught any mushrooms."

Chesia shrugged. "You set a trap? It's useless."

"Perrin has tried everything, but she just can't catch those mushrooms."

Li Aili nodded vaguely, subconsciously not wanting to talk to Chesia.

Perhaps it was because of the story he told...

A drunken Asmo swayed over and hooked his arm around Chesia's neck.

"Hey Chessia, have I told you about the good deeds I've done?"

Chesia smiled slightly. "Yes, I did. You kindly rescued two adventurers who were almost thrown into a pot and boiled by ogres."

Asmo paused, then said, "Hey, I already told you? Okay, now it's your turn. What good deeds have you done lately?"

"What? I already told Chesia?" A confused bubble popped up above his head.

Chesia maintained her smile. "I think you can't drink anymore; the alcohol is affecting your memory."

Asmo scratched his head and left.

Chesia stood up. "Come on, I'll go down with you to take a look."

Li Aili politely declined Chesia's offer, saying, "No need, I can go by myself."

Chesia, looking rather embarrassed, sat down again and watched Leslie and the others drink.

Li Aili found Perrin, who was busy behind the bar, and said, "I'll go down and check again."

Perrin put down the sparkling clean wine glass in her hand and casually wiped her hands on her apron.

"You set a trap?"

Li Aili climbed down the cellar ladder. "I guess so."

Perrin said disappointedly, "That probably won't work. I bought more than twenty kinds of mousetraps before."

"And small monster traps..."

Perrin, speaking eloquently, recounted her and Mushroom's bloody and tearful war of resistance.

As Li Aili listened, she found the 'shrine' placed in the corner.

She squatted down, holding the oil lamp, and looked... Good heavens! It was full!

The Hidden Mushrooms filled the shrine to the brim.

Li Aili discovered another wonderful feature of the 'shrine'.

Once the Hidden Mushroom leaves the 'shrine,' it's like a fish entering the sea, making it very difficult to be discovered or found.

But once inside the 'shrine,' they were as if they had taken off their invisibility cloaks, with nowhere to hide.

In this world teeming with gods, if you were to ask Li Aili what magical plant she desires most, the Hidden Mushroom would undoubtedly be the answer.

Who would have thought that the ninth advanced magical plant she obtained would be the Hidden Mushroom?

Li Aili shouted to Perrin above, "Perrin, close the cellar door."

As Perrin closed the door, she asked, "Did you encounter any difficulties?"

Li Aili replied bluntly, "Trade secret!"

After the cellar door closed tightly, Li Aili immediately pushed open the door to the alchemy room.

Carrying the 'shrine', she quickly walked to the back garden and poured out the lively, wriggling mushrooms.

These hidden mushrooms disappeared as soon as they left the shrine.

Li Aili immediately received a message from the Alchemy House.

You transplanted a batch of Savage Mushrooms to your backyard.

[Obtained the advanced magical plant 'Hidden Mushroom'.]

Li Aili left the alchemy room carrying the empty 'shrine'.

She set down the trap—no, I mean, the Hidden Mushroom House—then pushed open the door and hid in the Alchemy Room, crouching behind the door and counting down the seconds.

When the time was up, I immediately left the alchemy room, picked up the Hidden Mushroom House, and saw that it was another full basket!

Good grief, you guys have turned someone else's wine cellar into your base!

This process was repeated seven times until the Hidden Mushrooms in the wine cellar were finally cleared out.

Perrin was still shouting from above, "Did you catch them? If it's really not possible, then forget it. I'll spend gold coins to get someone from the Adventurers' Guild to come over."

"If all else fails, I'll move the wine cellar to another location! I refuse to believe these mushrooms can follow my wine barrels."

Li Aili deliberately left a Hidden Mushroom from the 'shrine' as evidence. "Alright, alright."

Perrin opened the cellar entrance door for her.

Li Aili carried the shrine and oil lamp and climbed up the ladder.

"Okay, look."

Perrin gasped when she saw the shrine filled with tiny black mushrooms. "Holy crap! How can there be so many?!"

"Wait a minute! How come I can suddenly see these mushrooms?"

Li Aili randomly grabbed a mushroom and put it in her palm.

Perrin watched in disbelief as a mushroom vanished.

Li Aili said, "That's right."

She put the shrine down again, and after a while, the 'disappeared' mushroom went back on its own.

Perrin: "!!!"

"Are all the mushrooms here?" Perrin asked.

Li Aili: "Yes."

Perrin readily pulled a bag of gold coins from under the bar.

"This is the agreed-upon payment."

A thought popped into Perrin's head: "I wonder if she'd be willing to sell this gabion?"

Li Aili accepted the gold coins without hesitation.

"Perrin, what kind of person is Chesia?" Li Aili asked casually.

A gossip bubble immediately popped into Perrin's head: 【Oh dear! Does this girl have a crush on Chesia?】

Li Aili immediately explained, "It's like this, he... said the necklace my husband gave me looked familiar."

"I'm wondering if they know each other."

The bubble on Perrin's head immediately burst.

"Chesia, maybe."

“This child rarely comes back and is always unconventional. This is the first time he has brought his friends back.”

Perrin leaned closer and whispered to Ellie, "Actually, I was quite happy to see Chesia bring back a friend."
