At the dinner table, Li Aili was completely absorbed in enjoying the food in the north section of the castle.
Today's dessert is an "Elf Cake Roll" made by the elves of the Gelin Forest.
A tiny cake roll sat on a pristine white plate, resembling a stunted carrot. No one would guess it cost 2 gold coins a roll.
Li Aili used a silver fork to cut off a small piece and savored it carefully.
There's a reason why this thing is so expensive and the elf hasn't been killed yet.
The forest cream made by the fairies is like ice cream, sweet and melts in your mouth, it's so delicious!
At the other end of the long table, the men were talking about politics and war.
"The newly conquered territories need to be garrisoned, so the Knights must expand their recruitment."
The Duke took a sip of red wine. "Establish a new regiment directly, and transfer Balk there to be promoted to the position of regimental commander."
Li Aili listened half-heartedly.
She was more concerned about the Grand Knight Commander who had taken the alchemical potion. The wounded couldn't afford to wait, and if she wasn't mistaken, she would gain a goodwill reputation once the wounded took the healing potion.
Sure enough, just as she finished the last bite of the cake roll, she received a message notification from "Alchemy House".
You have healed 9 knights of the Cold Emerald Knights.
Your potions have become famous throughout the Cold Emerald Knights.
You have gained 109 points of Good Reputation, for a total of 135 points.
[Your Good Reputation has surpassed 100 for the first time, and you have received a mysterious reward. It will be automatically claimed upon entering the Alchemy Room.]
Li Aili: "!!"
She then received three more messages:
[Your amnesia potion has caused Bishop Solomon to lose his memory, granting you 6 points of evil reputation.]
[Your amnesia potion has caused Bishop Lowell to lose his memory, granting you 6 points of evil reputation.]
[Your amnesia potion has caused Bishop Hillman to lose his memory, granting you 6 points of evil reputation, for a total of 209 evil reputation.]
Li Aili: "..."
Silently, I made the 'sign of light' in my mind for the three bishops, wishing their God protection.
After leaving the North District, Li Aili hurriedly returned to her room and plunged into the Alchemy Room.
Inside the alchemy room, the staircase leading to the second floor was now open.
Li Aili walked up curiously. It was a study with a wooden desk and an old bookcase.
On the desk lay an ornate quill pen and a thick book. Its cover read "The Encyclopedia of Amazing Plants".
Li Aili curiously opened the picture book, only to find it completely empty.
Li Aili: "..."
The first time your evil reputation surpasses 100, the Alchemy Chamber's reward is a mysterious pickup truck outside the fence.
This time, when my Good Reputation surpassed 100, the Alchemy House's reward was actually a 'Wordless Book'?
No matter how you look at it, there should be something interesting in this book. Li Aili paced around the room a few times, and finally her gaze settled on that gorgeous quill pen.
Does this mean she should write her own book?
No, it's not about writing a book.
The book is called "Illustrated Guide to Amazing Plants," perhaps it's meant for her to record the amazing plants she has discovered?
Li Aili then picked up her pen, hesitated, and wrote the three words "fire bell" on the first page of the book.
Since it's an illustrated guide, it needs pictures, so she drew a small fire bell next to the name.
I must say, although she didn't have formal art training, her drawings are quite expressive.
After drawing the fire bell, there was still no change, so Li Aili tried to write down the characteristics of the "fire bell" that she had recently summarized.
"It is a small yellow flower that is still very hot to the touch even after being picked."
"Test it for making fire-attribute alchemical potions."
After she finished writing, she received feedback.
[Successfully added to the Encyclopedia of Amazing Plants: Firebell.]
[Junior Herbalist Title: 1/200]
Li Aili blinked.
Then, in one go, she added all the "magical plants" she knew to the encyclopedia, writing and drawing them together.
Water Flower, Terra Root, and Thunder Thistle...
Message notifications kept ringing.
After writing the last "stinky mushroom," the Alchemy House gave a notification:
[Successfully added to the Amazing Plant Encyclopedia: Stinking Mushroom.]
[Junior Herbalist Title: 199/200]
She's already picked all the magical plants for today; new ones will have to wait until tomorrow. But right now, she's just missing one new plant, which is driving her obsessive-compulsive disorder crazy!
Fortunately, my good reputation combined with my evil reputation now totals over three hundred.
Tomorrow's backyard will surely yield a bountiful harvest.
But relying solely on the materials produced in the garden isn't enough. Even the Cold Emerald Duke casually mentioned "1000 bottles of healing potions"...
No way! Li Aili firmly believed that she had to find a way to improve the channels for collecting materials.
With so many extraordinary species in this world, could there be some magical plants quietly growing in some corner of the world?
Li Aili decided to leave one "Water Flower" and one "Terra Root" tomorrow and give them to the Duke so he could look for them.
It was already dark outside when we left the alchemy room.
But as Li Aili stepped out of the room, the maid who had been waiting outside immediately came up to her.
"Chief Steward Kambach just delivered a box, saying it was given to you by His Highness. We've placed it in the small study; would you like to go and see it now?"
Li Aili was a little curious, so she turned on her tiptoes and went to her small study first.
On the writing desk in the study sat a rather large wooden box. Li Aili walked over and casually opened it. The box was filled with gleaming gold coins, a startling sight that caused the maid behind her to exclaim in surprise, "My God of Light!"
