Chapter Fifty-Six: The Holy Domain

Today, at the cozy little round table in the north restaurant, Li Aili is still the only one there.

The Duke beat Bognard back into human form and then dragged him directly to the castle's underground.

That place has now become his 'happy little house'.

The 'forbidden items' suspected to have been brought back from the Church of St. Ser, along with the dragon that could trigger a war of annihilation, are hidden beneath Constantinople.

Li Aili calmly cut a large slice of cheesecake.

I scooped out a third of it with a spoon, took a big bite, and thought to myself, "This is really great."

Conrad dutifully reminded her, "You've had too many sweets, madam."

Li Aili rolled her eyes. "Maybe in a few days the six great empires will besiege Clark. Can't I at least achieve cake freedom before I run away?"

"Who said the six great empires were going to besiege Clark?" The Duke's voice came from the doorway.

Conrad pulled out a chair for the Duke.

The Duke's eyelids twitched when he saw a pile of cakes and pies on the table as soon as he entered.

What are you planning to do?

Li Aili smiled politely, "If the royal families of the six great empires are going to ride dragons to attack this place tomorrow, then before I run away tonight, I want to eat dessert until I'm sick of it."

The Duke lowered his eyes and said in the calmest tone, "That's impossible."

"Neither the six great empires attack, nor you eat desserts until you're sick, neither of these things will happen under my nose."

Li Aili rolled her eyes. "A 20-meter-long dragon, I don't even want to know where this news has spread by now."

Arthur Cold Jade picked up the cheesecake, which was only two-thirds full, from the table and handed it to Conrad.

“No one but the people in the castle will have seen that emerald dragon.” He cut a piece of medium-rare steak, forked it with his silver fork, and put it in his mouth.

"What?"

The man slowly swallowed the beef, picked up his wine glass, took a sip of red wine, and spoke in his usual nonchalant tone:

"Because this is my sacred domain."

Li Aili: "..."

Oh, the Sanctuary.

A sacred place?! (#Д)!!

Isn't that something only paladins have?

Li Aili: "..."

She stared in shock at the man sitting beside her, calmly cutting his steak.

How old is he?

She looks to be about twenty-four or twenty-five.

Arthur Cold Jade is already recognized as the youngest Platinum Knight on the continent.

Now, he casually tells her that it wasn't platinum, but a paladin...

As Li Aili breathed a sigh of relief, her heart seemed to race uncontrollably.

Bang bang bang, bang bang bang, jumping faster and faster.

"Bognard, what do you plan to do with that Emerald Dragon?"

"That depends on you."

Li Aili: "?"

Arthur Cold Jade finished the steak on his plate and started working on a plate of tender roasted lamb chops.

"If you can create an alchemical potion that can make the ancient dragon submit, then you can spare his life."

Dragons are creatures that become more powerful the longer they live.

The Primordial Dragon is already at the pinnacle of power among all dragons.

Just how pathetic is the Gem Dragon? That an ancient dragon could be kicked around like a football for an entire afternoon...

Upon hearing "Ancient Dragon," Li Aili silently performed some calculations.

Only those who live to be 1200 years old can be considered ancient dragons.

So, what exactly is Arthur Cold Jade?

Li Aili said speechlessly, "You think too highly of me... That's an ancient dragon."

How could a mid-level herbalism apprentice like her create an alchemical potion that could control a 1200+ year old dragon?

No, she doesn't deserve it.

Arthur Cold Jade nodded nonchalantly, "It's fine, just kill him."

Li Aili: "..."

After finishing the lamb chops, Arthur started working on a plate of fried pork chops. "Dragons are treasures from head to toe. I'll get you some dragon horns, dragon hearts, dragon blood, and dragon scales later. See if you can use them as alchemical materials."

Li Aili: "...Wait, I might have another way."

After saying that, she got up, lifted her skirt, and ran quickly back to her room, plunging into the alchemy room.

It has to be said that Bogdard's predictions about his lucky star were somewhat accurate.

Today, coincidentally, is another day when the mysterious little truck arrives outside the fence to 'extort her reputation'.

The amazing little truck's catalog has hundreds of pages; you can find almost anything you can think of in it.

After flipping through dozens of pages, Li Aili finally found the product she wanted—the Oath Potion.

The product description includes the following: "[An early work by Merlin. Even if a god were to drink it, one must obediently keep one's vow.]"

Li Aili looked at the product description with a complicated expression.

It's hard to say whether Bogdard's predictions of his destiny are accurate or not.

Does the so-called "good things come to those who wait" mean being pinned down on the ground in the West Forest by Arthur and rubbed against for an entire afternoon?

As for the God of Light, he still hasn't finished collecting all the fallen jade dragon scales...

She forced herself to forget the glittering jade dragon scales and then looked at the price of the item.

Instantly, a mouthful of blood choked in his throat.

Her evil reputation combined with her good reputation is only enough to cover a fraction of the price tag of this item.

"Can't you be a little more accommodating? How about a loan?" she cried out in frustration.

That was a 1200-year-old ancient dragon!

It would be such a waste to kill them!

Clearly, she couldn't persuade the Duke on this matter.

It's clear that Arthur Cold Jade has a grudge against that jade dragon; if she can't handle it, then the dragon's head will fall with the fall of her sword.

The Duke would rather kill Bognard himself than let him live.
