Chapter Ninety-Four: Dark Elves, Forest Experts

It's like a 'prehistoric' island.

Each tree is at least half the size of the World Tree of Tankar.

Li Aili stared in disbelief at the 'Forest of Giant Trees' before her.

"This, this..."

If the Tankar elves moved here, each elf could practically own an entire tree! Wouldn't that be amazing?

Why call it Naga Island?! Let's rename it 'Elf Happy Island'!

She looked sharply at the priest Leslie and the ranger Wendy Shane.

To everyone's surprise, the two remained calm and showed no interest in the place whatsoever.

Li Aili tentatively asked, "Look at this tree, it's so big, doesn't it look just like the penthouse you've always dreamed of?"

Leslie looked at her in surprise. "Who's crazy enough to buy a house here?"

Wendy Shane nodded in agreement, "No fellow countrymen...no sense of superiority..."

Leslie calmly analyzed, "Without a good community environment, what will happen to the children after we get married? Are we supposed to stay here as..."

He frowned, thought for a moment, and found a suitable word, "a savage creature like a dragon?"

Bogdard: "..."

Li Aili quickly interrupted to prevent the racial conflict from escalating further.

"Ahhh! Speaking of which! This unusually large forest looks so dangerous!"

Assange slid down to his knees and sprang to Li Aili's side. "My beauty, there is no forest that has not been conquered by the dark elves. If there is, it must be a lie."

"I am willing to serve you and conquer this forest."

These words were like stirring up a hornet's nest.

The centaur White Rose, known as the 'Forest Guardian,' sneered, "Heh."

The tree spirit Zhenzhen gave a cold laugh, just like the almond, "Heh."

Leslie, a wood elf born and raised in the forest: "Oh?"

Wood Elf Wendy Shani: "...Huh?"

Charles frowned coldly and stood next to Assange. "What? You're not convinced? Come and fight."

Feeling that his previous words hadn't had enough effect, Charles added, "I'm sorry, but I must say, in the forest, apart from the dark elves, everyone else is trash."

Li Aili: "………………"

Ten minutes later, the two 'forest experts'—dark elves—set off together, venturing alone into the unfamiliar 'Forest of Giant Trees,' vowing to conquer the forest within an hour.

Li Aili was completely numb.

She decided to start by persuading her two best friends, "Is this strange giant rainforest the same as the forest you live in?"

White Rose was whittling a wooden stick with a long knife. She blew away the shavings and stated her position directly in one sentence: "One hour, you won't die."

Li Aili: "..."

She turned to Zhenzhen and urged, "With a formidable enemy at hand, shouldn't we unite?"

Zhenzhen: "These two dark elves are so annoying, even the tree spirits can't stand them."

Li Aili: "..."

"Won't they get into trouble?" Unexpectedly, the one on Li Aili's side was the druid Hajin, who had joined the group halfway through.

The innocent-looking druid girl asked with worried eyes, while the bubble above her head read: 【Damn it, infighting at this time! Are these guys idiots?!】

Li Aili: "..."

White Rose stared blankly in the direction the two idiots had left. "Legendary adventurers should be tough, right?"

Zhenzhen nodded in agreement, "He won't die in an hour."

Li Aili: "..."

Edward stayed quietly by Li Ai Li's side, not getting involved in the argument.

Bognar watched with amusement as the elves fought amongst themselves.

He didn't need to say anything, because his good mood was written all over his face.

Leslie calmly replied, "It's alright, it's only an hour. Even if we encounter the 'mutated' Naga here, a legendary Shadow Assassin and a legendary Shadow Spellcaster, we'll escape no matter what."

Just as Li Aili breathed a sigh of relief, she heard Leslie laugh sarcastically, "After all, you're a 'forest expert' dark elf."

Li Aili: "..."

Time ticked by.

An hour later, Assange and his team still hadn't returned.

Leslie stood up and calmly said, "Let's go collect the corpses of those two idiots."

Wendy Shane: "...Leslie...the team...is harmonious."

Leslie readily agreed, "Come on, let's follow in the footsteps of the 'King of the Forest'."

That's what they say, but in this giant forest, humans are as insignificant as ants.

After walking a few steps, Leslie stopped. "Druid, can you turn into a dog?"

Hajin: "...Do I look like I can change?!"

Leslie nodded calmly. "Then turn back. This mission has failed. Druid, go find an adventure team to help you solve this problem."

Hakin: "…………"

One minute later.

"Woof woof!" The yellow hound, having smelled the dark elves, barked at Leslie.

A yellowish-brown bubble sits atop the dog's head: [Idiot, over here!]

Li Aili: "..."

She silently chanted the 'Heart-Cleansing Mantra': Senior Herbalist Title, Senior Herbalist Title, Senior Herbalist Title!!!

Led by the dog's nose, they walked for about half an hour and found the trail of the two dark elves.

However, while everyone guessed the beginning, they didn't guess the ending.

The way the two 'little princes of the forest' made their entrance was somewhat hard to describe.

In a jarring open space, a giant 'purple onion' grows.

Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be not a giant 'purple onion' at all, but a purple 'carnivorous plant' that had swallowed two elves whole and was now enormous.
