Chapter Ninety-Three: The Anaconda Disaster

“We’re going to Naga Island. These crew members will take us here,” Leslie pointed to the sea area near Naga Island on the map. “Then, we’ll row the rest of the way.”

“It looks close, but it’s actually quite a distance,” Leslie said.

After saying that, the group boarded the huge sailboat that was moored at the dock.

For Zhenzhen and White Rose, who are seeing the sea for the first time, the upcoming sea voyage is simply fantastic!

They ran from bow to stern, their cheerful laughter echoing throughout the boat, "Hahahaha~~~"

Then, it ran wildly from the stern to the bow, "hahaha~"

The reversal occurred half an hour later.

When the 'Bright Poseidon' reached the deep sea area, the wind and waves picked up, and the bow of the ship swayed up and down by about three meters.

The two, who were initially very excited, were eliminated in less than ten minutes.

The two of them lay on the gunwale, vomiting into the sea, making "yue, yue" sounds.

Li Aili: "..."

Edward, leaning on his sword, dutifully guarded Ellie, who had her eyes closed.

The ship's first mate passed by, laughing as he approached Li Aili. "You seem to have seafaring experience."

"At this rate, we should be able to reach our destination in about two days."

Li Aili opened her eyes and nodded.

Then a bubble rose above the first mate's head: "Oh dear, we've arrived. I was so engrossed in looking at the pretty girls that I almost forgot about our business."

So the first mate turned around and shouted, "Men, we're in deep water, change shifts!"

What to change? Li Aili was a little confused.

The sailors on board swiftly lowered the sails, which were emblazoned with the image of a bright, holy sun, and then raised the sails bearing the trident emblem of the sea god.

Then, the angel of light hanging at the bow of the ship was pulled down by a dozen sailors and replaced with a mermaid statue, a symbol of the sea.

Li Aili was stunned by this bizarre move.

Honestly, it was the first time she had ever seen a ship's bow that could be disassembled at any time!

The first mate turned around and gave her a 'good-natured' smile. "Hey, making a living at sea, it's inevitable, it's inevitable."

Then, remembering the name of the ship... Li Aili looked at him with a complicated expression.

So this ship is a joint-stock company, with the God of Light holding 50% and the God of the Sea holding 50%.

The first mate explained to the 'uninformed' outsider, "Most of the fishermen here are like us; when they come ashore, they believe in the God of Light."

"When you reach the deep sea, believe in the sea god."

"I usually stay on shore. I go to the Church of Light on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and to the Temple of Poseidon on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays."

Li Aili's curiosity was piqued. "So where are you going on Sunday?"

The first mate said, "We're off on Sunday."

Li Aili: "..." Very good, reasonable allocation.

And so they spent two days on the ship.

On the afternoon of the third day, the first mate dropped anchor. "We've arrived."

As they spoke, the sailors launched three small boats.

The group boarded three small boats. Before parting, the first mate, seemingly wanting to say something, called out to Li Aili.

"Miss."

He took off his tricorn hat, gripping the brim with both hands, and said, "Miss, are you... going to Naga Island to find those 'sea god's messengers'?"

"The messenger of the sea god?" Li Aili looked at him curiously.

"Ah, of course he's an apostle of God, otherwise how could there be such a large Naga! He even saved our entire ship!"

Naga saving people?

This is not the same as the brutal Naga that Hajin described.

Li Aili probed discreetly, "Really? What happened that makes you so certain that those Naga are messengers of the Sea God?"

The first mate whispered to Li Aili, "Once, our ship encountered a terrible storm, and it looked like it was about to be capsized by waves tens of meters high."

"At that time, I saw a huge snake body weaving through the waves."

"Our ship was caught in the body of a giant serpent, and then the apostle of the sea god rescued us from the storm belt and placed us in calm waters!"

"Seriously, that was a miracle!"

Li Aili: "..."

Are you kidding me?

How can you roll up such a large sailboat?

How big must that Naga be?

She felt a little uneasy.

The first mate said, "Therefore, we are not afraid to approach this place, because the apostles of the sea gods will protect us."

He implied, "But out of respect for the gods, we cannot get too close to the island where the divine messengers reside."

Li Aili asked, "Are you telling the truth?"

After asking the question, she looked up at the top of the first mate's head.

[By the sea god, this is absolutely true! They mustn't be trying to harm the divine messenger! Otherwise, even the sea will be enraged!]

Li Aili, carrying the white goat, left the large ship and boarded a small boat bound for Naga Island.

Li Aili: "..."

The goat chewed its cheeks, jumped onto the boat, flicked its tail, and calmly left a pile of 'chocolate beans' on the boat.

She immediately took out the prepared 'reconstruction potion', pinched the sheep's mouth, and poured it down its throat.

The entire bottle of medicine was poured down the sheep's stomach.

Edward, who was in charge of rowing, deftly pulled out a mage's robe and wrapped it around the goat.

Ten seconds later, the goat turned into Jupiter.

Edward picked up the oars again and greeted his old friend warmly, "Hey, Jupiter, how are you feeling?"

“These past few days, I’ve noticed that your chronic constipation seems to have been cured.”

Li Aili: "..." You really know how to chat.

However, Jupiter greeted Edward, "Edward, eh~~~~"
