Chapter Sixty-Five: Granting Land and Conferring Titles

Originally, the officials and nobles of the Holy Dragon were only acting as villains because they were wary of the attitude of Prince Alex's faction.

Now, Sophia, known as the 'Valkyrie', has spoken up, offering to personally raise the Winter Wolf's offspring.

Then no one would be so foolish as to jump out and become the villain who pleases neither side.

Wolfe slowly grasped Sophia's cloak.

He rested his head on Sophia's shoulder.

Li Aili noticed that a patch of the Valkyrie's dark cloak was damp.

The problem of the Winter Wolf Clan has been solved.

But the Emperor's expression tightened even more. "Sophia."

Sophia held the child in one arm and rested the other on the hilt of her sword. "Your Majesty."

Their eyes met.

Sophia's imposing manner was in no way inferior.

"Where is Achille the Holy Dragon, no, Achille the Traitorous Dragon?"

The Emperor looked down at Sophia and spoke in a way that brooked no argument:

"Sophia, I have lost two younger brothers."

"The empire has lost two pillars of the nation."

"In the realm of gods, a high-ranking god has fallen."

"This matter ends here."

"I do not wish to see the Holy Dragon bloodline kill each other again." The Emperor paused, "Even if that person is Archie."

However, Sophia refused to accept this.

She refused to accept this outcome and addressed the emperor, who sat regally on his throne:

"Your Majesty, I will never accept such an dishonorable death as my father."

"He could be a decorated veteran who retires and dies at home."

"It could be dying on the battlefield."

"But, the one thing he shouldn't have been poisoned by his nephew with witchcraft brought by the devil!"

"No one in St. Frox will accept the capital's judgment."

"Achille the Traitor must pay for my father's life."

Even if it means defying your will, I will hunt him down, from the realm of gods to the depths of the underworld.

"This feud will not end until death!"

A resolute female voice echoed in the council hall, each word powerful and clear, like a vow made before a god.

Prince Caesar's former subordinates clenched their fists, their teeth almost grinding to powder.

Yes, Archie was wrong. But that was His Highness Caesar's only child!

[The Queen has committed suicide, and His Highness's branch is reduced to only Archie. Must they be so ruthless?! Sophia Holy Dragon!]

Yes! Archil made a mistake, a terrible mistake! But! Wasn't that a trick by the gods!?

[His Highness has already been expelled from the Holy Dragon's ranks, so why won't they spare His Highness Caesar's only bloodline?]

...

Li Aili saw the dragon knights of Prince Caesar's Knights, with black blood bubbles constantly rising from their heads...

Their gazes toward the Valkyrie Sophia were filled with hatred.

Li Aili felt inexplicably flustered.

The Holy Dragon is splitting.

The Emperor paused for a moment, then said, "Sophia, you will remain in Perkins during this time."

Whether the god of trickery fell or not, his goal was achieved.

The Holy Dragon is splitting apart.

Even emperors were helpless.

Sophia's gaze toward the Emperor changed, from reverence to disappointment.

That gaze was like a sharp sword, piercing the emperor's invincible heart.

She didn't say anything more, but simply tapped the emperor's right shoulder lightly.

The armor clashed, producing a loud 'clang'.

The little winter wolf nestled in her arms trembled from the shock.

Sophia, carrying the winter wolf, led her men away.

This Valkyrie is known for her bad temper.

Logically speaking, they are the aggrieved party and have the most to say.

In terms of martial prowess, aside from the Holy Emperor, everyone in the hall combined might not be able to defeat her alone.

Now, she's making it clear that she's determined to fight the exiled Archie to the death...

The emperor had no other choice but to keep her in the imperial palace.

Li Aili was really worried about this Valkyrie.

He then quietly followed at the back of Sophia's knights and left the council hall.

In the hall, Albert, finally appearing serious beside the Emperor, smiled and said:

"Alright, next topic."

"The fall of the Winter Wolf clan and the loss of the 'Pillar of the Nation' have created a significant gap in the Holy Dragon's battlefront."

He spread his hands, "Even if you bring all the underage dragons to the battlefield, you still can't fill this gap."

"I propose 'granting fiefs and titles,' and now we shall proceed with a vote..."

The sounds from the main hall gradually faded away.

Li Aili only heard the part about "being granted a fiefdom and being granted a title".

Princess Sophia was even more worrying to her.

She hadn't walked more than a few steps when a maidservant in a hurry bumped into Princess Sophia.

As a 'Valkyrie,' it's quite rare for someone to bump into her.

Li Aili could see it clearly from behind.

Sophia had already moved aside, but the maid was still able to change her defensive line halfway and then launch a 'secondary impact'.

Princess Sophia paused, causing the maid to bump into her.

"I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry! Your Highness Sophia!"

Sophia glanced at her thoughtfully. "It's nothing."

The maidservant then hurriedly ran off, lifting her skirt.

Li Aili noticed that Sophia glanced at the maid's departing figure a few more times.

"Allen, you hold the little one and go rest first."

"I have something to do."

Li Aili: "!"

She had a feeling that the collision just now was definitely not simple.

Sure enough, after dismissing the knights who accompanied her, Sophia went directly to the forest behind the palace.

The alchemy room that Conrad built for Ellie is right here.
