Chapter Sixty-One: Bury It

At eight o'clock in the morning.

Sunlight shone on the lawn that had been cut overnight.

The air was filled with the fragrance of green grass.

The guests' seats were arranged neatly, and the master of ceremonies wrote down the program in his palm and memorized his lines whenever he had a spare moment.

The guest seats were filled with elves, all dressed in elaborate costumes and sporting dark circles under their eyes.

Due to time constraints, Li Aili, the bridesmaid, had to take on the role of handing the bride over to the groom.

Li Aili helped the excited Alice.

Having come this far, she resigned herself to her fate.

Hopefully, when the flower fairy finally realizes her mistake... she won't jump off the cliff with her.

She looked at the handsome Elf King who was waiting before the altar.

The Elf King, crowned with laurels, was tall and handsome, and his golden eyes could only accommodate Alice in her wedding dress.

After handing Alice over to Fisheranki, Ellie stepped aside.

The emcee asked the same three questions over and over again.

What does it mean to love someone regardless of whether they are born, grow old, sick, or die...?

But after the normal questions were asked, the abnormal ones started to appear.

With a smile, Fisheranki produced a stack of magic contract scrolls.

Looking at the wedding agenda in her hand, Li Aili had a bunch of question marks popping up above her head.

"Wait! Is there such a step??"

What is he holding?

Arthur glanced at it and said casually, "Oh, it's nothing. It's probably a magic contract to bind your little sister to her next life."

Li Aili: "..."

Li Aili: "!!!" Don't sign!

But it was too late, because they had drunk the "Potion of Regret".

Now, the flower fairy, who was only thinking about marrying Fisher-Nanki, picked up a pen and signed all the magical contracts that Fisher-Nanki had brought out in one go.

Li Aili felt her vision go black.

She resisted the urge to faint and end it all, and grabbed her boyfriend's hand, "Is...is there any hope?"

Arthur glanced at the Elf King, who was smiling like a cunning fox, and said, "Hopeless."

After the wedding, the elves, with their dark circles under their eyes, couldn't hold on any longer and all went back to catch up on their sleep.

Li Aili was in a complete panic, racking her brains but unable to come up with a solution.

Never mind, let's leave it at that.

The next day, the refreshed Elf King walked out of his bridal chamber alone.

The flower fairy has vanished without a trace.

Feeling a little guilty, Li Aili took out a bottle of healing potion and gave it to the Elf King during breakfast.

"Give her this to drink, it will make her feel better."

The Duke paused in his act of spreading jam on the elf bread.

Fisher's eyes lit up instantly, and he called her "sister" more enthusiastically than ever before.

"Thank you, sister. I think this is exactly what we need."

The Duke looked up at Li Aili with a complicated expression.

"I couldn't wait to send it to her now."

After Fisheranki left, the Duke picked up another piece of elven hot butter bread and said, "Have you ever considered this possibility?"

Li Aili took a big bite of the forest cream cake and exclaimed, "What?!"

"This could have ended just from exhaustion, but with the medicine you gave me, won't it just keep going on and on?"

Seeing that Li Aili still looked blank, he had to be more direct, "You mean you want them to 'fight until dawn'?"

Li Aili: "..."

Li Aili: "!!!" She was so shocked that she dropped the cake on the ground.

The Duke slowly put the bread into his mouth. "If your good sister comes looking for you when she's awake."

"Remember not to go to the riverbank or the edge of a cliff."

Arthur thoughtfully placed another small cake on her plate, saying, "I'm afraid she might jump while holding you."

Li Aili: "………………"

So, when Ellie and the Duke saw Fisheranki, it was already dinnertime.

The flower fairy was still nowhere to be seen.

And Fisher-Nanke...

It's like a male lion on the savanna who's overly insatiable and has a harem.

Seeing his 'I'm stuffed' expression, Li Aili closed her eyes in despair.

They wondered if they should also carry the carriage and run away overnight.

It would be best to move as well, to a place where the flower fairy can no longer find her.

“Oh, sister, let’s talk about something serious.” Fisheranki clasped his hands together, resting his pointed chin on them, and looked at Li Aili with a smile.

Li Aili is almost developing PTSD from her brother-in-law.

My heart trembles whenever I see him smiling.

"What important matter is it?"

Fisher-Nankey snapped his fingers.

Immediately, rows of elves brought out magical plants to cultivate.

There are roots of Terra, water flowers, wind flowers, and fire bells...

Li Aili: "!!!" They actually all grew out!?

Fisheranki tapped his fingers on the armrest of the high-backed chair.

"This is what I need to talk to my sister about."

The elf held up her long, slender fingers. "First, we'll cultivate these unique plants for you, sister, free of charge."

Li Aili frowned slightly, "Good relations are one thing, but business should be kept separate."

Fishernanki gave her an approving look and said softly:

"This is my second point: as a reward for cultivating the plants, the Tankar elves will have priority in purchasing alchemical potions."

"Of course, this right must come after my brother-in-law's."

Li Aili hesitated and said, "I'm afraid that's not possible. Even if we solve the problem of raw materials, there's an even more troublesome one."

"Alchemists are really hard to train. So far, I only have two—no, one apprentice. The potions I supply just for the Knights are already in short supply… I'm afraid…"
