"Do you have any potions that enhance 'that' function?" the petite flower fairy asked shyly.
Li Aili looked at the shop entrance with a sense of existential skepticism.
It is indeed the bustling commercial street in the central city of the duchy.
"Oh dear, boss, I had to ask so many of my ex-boyfriends before I found your new shop." The petite flower fairy shyly drew circles on her little feet.
Li Aili stared at the flower fairy and asked, "You should know that my shop doesn't specialize in selling 'that kind of potion,' right?"
The flower fairy blushed, "Oh dear, I just got a new boyfriend! He's a conservative and pure elf, so I think... you know what I mean~"
[Damn you! You're so beautiful and you're not even interested?! I'll just force-feed you a bottle of pills and see if I can get you!]
Li Aili: "..." No, I don't understand.
But she couldn't help herself and asked, "How's your dark elf ex-boyfriend doing?" Is he getting along well with a donkey or a mule?
"He's a good friend now~~"
Li Aili's gaze towards the flower fairy changed, now filled with "awe".
The petite flower fairy shyly pushed Li Aili's hand away, "Oh, boss, I'm friends with all my ex-boyfriends~ Why are you looking at me like that?"
Li Aili didn't understand, but she was deeply shocked.
"177 gold coins, same old deal, no bargaining."
The flower fairy was stunned, her small eyes widening, and her voice gruff, "Damn it! Why?! Didn't you say 157 gold coins last time??"
Li Aili pointed to the door and asked, "Where is this?"
“Central City,” the flower fairy replied, bewildered.
"Where was that before?"
"Campbell's Black Market".
"So, these twenty gold coins are here, understand?" Li Aili said calmly.
Flower Fairy: "..."
She angrily pulled out a large bag of gold coins, threw it on the table while cursing, and picked up the medicine bottle, ready to throw it outside.
"Wait," Li Aili said, stopping the flower fairy who was about to fly away.
"What? Are you going to give me a discount?" the flower fairy asked expectantly as she flew back, flapping her little wings.
"Uh, no. I think you know quite a lot of 'friends,' so..."
This flower fairy has so many ex-boyfriends she could probably form a knightly order.
"Here's the thing, I'm very busy during the week and can't be in the store to keep an eye on things for long periods of time. I need to hire a shop assistant to help me sell medicines. Do you know anyone who's interested in this job?"
"The requirements are simple: be smart and keep your mouth shut. Oh, and by the way, don't believe in the Holy Light Church."
After hearing this, the flower fairy's eyes lit up, and she immediately patted her little chest and said, "Leave it to me!"
This time, after the flower fairy left, Li Aili didn't receive any reputation points.
However, because there had been previous incidents where her reputation points were incorrect due to unforeseen circumstances, she didn't pay much attention to it.
'Ring ring'.
As soon as the welcoming bell rang, Li Aili quickly swept the rounded gold coins into her money bag and handed them to Joanna, who was helping her, saying, "Welcome—".
Then, seeing Arthur Cold Jade walk in, she swallowed the words "honored to grace us with your presence" again.
Why did you come here?
Arthur Cold Emerald's cold blue eyes swept around the cozy little shop, his handsome face expressionless. "I've come to take you back."
Li Aili was a little surprised, "What happened?"
Arthur Cold Jade looked down at Li Aili, "If there's nothing wrong, can't you come to pick up my wife?"
Li Aili was stunned by these words.
“Joanna, that’s enough for today. Let’s go, I’ll give you a ride home,” Li Aili said to Joanna.
Joanna quickly shook her head, "No need, madam, Edward will be here to pick me up soon. I'll just finish sorting out the accounts and he'll be there by then."
The "bubble" appearing above her head, however, conveyed the following message: "It must be because the lady has been returning to the castle late these past few days; the Duke is angry."
Li Aili's lips twitched slightly.
After boarding the carriage back to Constantinople, Li Aili asked, "Tell me, what exactly happened?"
The carriage was illuminated by the soft light emanating from the magic stone. Perhaps due to being busy with the new knight order these past few days, the Duke closed his eyes to rest.
“Tomorrow, a lord from the Coran family will be visiting Constantinople,” he said suddenly.
"Huh? Who is that?"
The Duke suddenly opened his blue eyes and stared abruptly at Li Aili.
Li Aili was startled, realizing her slip of the tongue, "Ah, I've been so busy I'm completely out of it. Oh, it's Lord Kelan of the Kelan family..."
She racked her brains.
Previously, it seems that Duke Cold Emerald attacked the territory of the Coran family. And then? What did they say again?
The Duke slowly began to speak: "Yes, it is the king's lover's brother, Fred Coran."
Li Aili breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh! So what preparations do I need to make tomorrow?"
Arthur Cold Jade stared at her without saying a word.
The Duke's stare made Li Aili a little uneasy. He looked away and said in an ambiguous tone, "He's not a 'friendly guest,' so your shop shouldn't be open for the next few days."
The coachman brought the carriage to a steady stop.
After the Duke got out of the car, he turned around and reached out to help Li Aili.
"It was a slip of the tongue just now," he said casually.
"Fred Coran is Lady Vivian's brother."
Li Aili's foot froze in mid-air. When she came to her senses, she only saw the scarlet velvet cloak disappear into the castle gate.
A gust of wind blew, and Li Aili, who was frozen in front of the carriage, realized that she was covered in a cold sweat.
