Chapter Thirteen: The Lord of the Magic Tower

People who get older always face three major worries.

Hair loss, insomnia, and constipation...

Very well, even in a fantasy world filled with magic, these three points remain a constant source of worry for older people.

Huh?!

No, she's an alchemist now!

Is it possible to concoct an alchemical potion to solve these problems?

If that were possible, wouldn't we make a fortune?

Just think about it, this is a problem that even the 'Lord of the Magic Tower' is deeply troubled by!

"Splash—" A refreshing sound of rushing water came from the magic gate, interrupting Li Aili's thoughts.

After half an hour of "constipation livestream," the Duke's study fell into a deathly silence.

Although Charlie Colan tried several times to stop the ring that opened the magical portal, magical items aren't something you can just stop at will.

Balk and several high knights lowered their heads, their shoulders trembling slightly and suspiciously.

In stark contrast to their itinerary were the royal knights standing behind Lord Coran.

The royal knights, clad in silver armor, all had faces as green as turtles.

Listening to the old man, the master of the Magic Tower, making "hmm...hmm...hiss..." sounds for half an hour, Li Aili was so embarrassed that she directly dug out a 'Constantinople'.

She silently made a 'bright seal' in her mind, hoping that when the old man came out, he would be able to accept the scene of his forced social death.

Oh, Amen, um, God of Light.

Extremely slow footsteps came from the other side of the magic gate.

Li Aili couldn't help but wonder: Did this old man's legs go numb from squatting...?

Then, a deafening curse rang out, "Bullshit!!! How come there's an open magic door here???"

"Pfft—cough cough." A Grand Knight Commander of the Cold Emerald Knights couldn't help but spit it out, and tried to cover it up with a cough.

Then, a wrinkled old face peeked out cautiously from the other side of the magic door.

Then, caught off guard, this "Lord of the Magic Tower" met the eyes of more than a dozen pairs of people in the study...

The old man glanced around at everyone expressionlessly, his gaze finally settling on Charlie Colan.

Li Aili felt that at that moment, the old man almost wanted to unleash a forbidden spell to send everyone in the room to their deaths.

However, the adult world is always cruel and realistic.

10 minutes later.

The old man sat expressionlessly on a single sofa in the study.

He wore a deep red mage's robe, had wise silver hair, and a beard that reached his chest. He looked like an old headmaster straight out of some famous magical literature.

Yes, the old principal is constipated.

Li Aili lowered her head and sipped her tea, pretending to be blind and unable to see the "screen full" of dog poop above the silent old man's head.

Charlie Colan, who had previously acted recklessly, began to fawn over the 'Lord of the Magic Tower' who exuded a low-pressure aura.

Li Aili silently dismissed the flattery in her mind and silently summarized:

"I'm so sorry to have disturbed your constipation. Since you're done now, would it be convenient for you to 'perform' a magic trick to scare the ducal's silly roe deer?"

Li Aili thought that with his language talent, the reason he had been able to live so long without incident was entirely due to his sister's ability to make the King of Clark Kingdom infatuated with him.

Li Aili couldn't help but check how this "Lord of the Magic Tower" viewed these words.

[Screw your poop! I'll turn you into a pile of shit right now!]

She wanted to laugh, so she quickly lowered her head and pretended to drink tea, but she couldn't help it and blew a bunch of bubbles into the teacup.

"Gurgle..."

The duke sitting next to her noticed the strange noise, glanced at her, and then fell silent.

The "Lord of the Magic Tower" named Jupiter remained silent for a full ten seconds before refraining from swearing at Charlie Colan.

He gave Duke Cold Emerald a cold look, his almost entirely white eyebrows furrowing in a knot. "You are Arthur Cold Emerald? I've heard a little about you."

But the bubble on his head was:

Unfortunately, the god of magic issued a divine decree forbidding magicians from pledging allegiance to him.

Otherwise, he would have been a better candidate to defect to than Harry Clarke.

That's a lot of information.

Li Aili's emerald eyes widened slightly. How did this all get involved with gods?

She couldn't help but steal a glance at the Duke's head; it was still completely blank.

So here's the question.

If her mind-reading ability can even see through the "Lord of the Magic Tower," why can't she see through the Duke?

Charlie Coran was really good at flattery. He rolled his eyes and said, "The capital city is bathed in your magical radiance, but the Duchy of Cold Emerald can't even see a single magic apprentice."

"Why don't you let the light of magic shine upon the barren Duchy of Cold Emerald?"

Li Aili stared in shock at her former uncle-in-law, Charlie Colan, who seemed to have an insatiable thirst for self-destruction.

However, Lord Coran’s words struck a chord with Jupiter.

Ten minutes later, Jupiter, the Lord of the Red Tower, dressed in a red mage's robe, appeared on the training ground of the Cold Emerald Knights.

Not far away, the newly formed knightly order was training.

Upon seeing a fellow dressed in a mage's robe appear in the duchy, they all swarmed over to watch the spectacle.

And so, right before everyone's eyes, Jupiter, Lord of the Red Tower* (Note 2), unleashed an 8th-level fire spell.

Suddenly, a 7-meter-high wall of fire rose up on the training ground.
