Previously, in order to teach the ladies alchemy, Li Aili had temporarily built an alchemy workshop on the southeast side of the castle.
When Conrad the butler entered the alchemy workshop, she was instructing the centaur Jasmine on how to make healing potions.
Yes, in just one day, this centaur girl with amazing alchemy talent was able to get started and practice it.
The ladies stayed up all night studying, but in the end, they couldn't even make a single bottle of 'weak healing potion'.
The centaur girl took it a step further and created a "medium-efficacy healing potion" with her first potion.
Li Aili was dumbfounded.
Don't let the centaur's usual silly and cute appearance fool you; its talent in alchemy is simply unparalleled.
Seeing that things were settled here, Conrad spoke up at the opportune moment: "Madam, Glenn Spier, the branch president of the Adventurers' Guild, requests an audience."
Li Aili's eyes lit up. "Is he here to deliver magical plants? He got them again so quickly?"
Conrad said gravely, "I'm sorry, I'm afraid not. It seems there's been a problem in the forest. The master has already gone there."
Upon hearing this, Li Aili could no longer sit still and immediately lifted her skirt and ran to the reception room.
She pushed open the door and entered, only to find that the adventurers of the Green Hat Squad looked more and more miserable than the last.
Some had their arms in slings, others had their legs in splints, and even the least injured person had lost two front teeth, their face was swollen like a pig's head, and they spoke with a lisp.
"This is what the paper looks like."
She was shocked to see the neat row of disabled people.
"My God, God of Light, what's going on?"
"They got beaten up by a bunch of tree spirits from the Water Bottle Forest," Branch President Glen replied, wiping his sweat.
The Duke gave a cold look to Mr. Grant, the president of the Adventurers' Guild.
"I'll send you three squads of knights. Can you guarantee you'll bring back what I want?" he asked.
Li Aili was speechless at the man's habit of sending troops at the slightest disagreement.
"Can't you use more peaceful methods?"
Arthur Cold Jade humbly inquired, "For example?"
"For example, ask the centaurs. Jasmine said that centaurs are natural forest protectors. Obviously, they should be better at this than we are, right?"
"If money can solve the problem, why rely on knights? Humans and nature should live in harmony."
"We should try our best not to damage the environment in which these amazing plants grow."
"Draining the pond to catch all the fish is not a good idea."
Glenn stared in disbelief as the Duchess berated the fierce-looking Duke.
The Duke listened quietly, appearing utterly "harmless."
It's fucking unbelievable that he actually thought the Cold Jade Duke was "harmless".
After listening, the Duke also had his steward summon the horseman Zhegumu.
Ge Lan was completely dumbfounded.
What is that?
The Duke actually managed to subdue his proud centaurs?!
Aren't these humans people someone who never bothers to deal with humans?
After hearing the whole story, Zhegumu flicked his horse tail in annoyance.
"Tree spirits are a very benevolent race. They will not attack humans unless those humans do something that makes them very angry."
Li Aili thought for a moment, then took out a section of 'Terra Root', "They only picked this."
Zhegumu glanced at it and snorted coldly.
"Hmph. This is the tree spirits' food. If humans take all the tree spirits' food, they won't have anything to feed their saplings."
Anyone would be furious in this situation.
To put it another way: Anyway, you humans deserve a beating, the tree spirits didn't even get a good beating.
The leader of the Green Hat Squad said, "No! We just arrived and were hung in mid-air by vines..." and then got a beating.
The broken-bone tree completely ignored him.
[Soliciting excuses! Greedy humans!]
Li Aili has a headache.
Li Aili: "Ah, besides these Terra Woods, do they eat anything else?"
"What I mean is, I want to make a deal with them, and if we make a deal, there won't be any conflict, right?"
"So, can we trade something else for Terra Wood with them?"
Zhegumu thought for a moment, "They would be very happy to use crops grown by elves."
"The natural elements in the crops grown by the wood elves are very beneficial to the growth of the little tree spirits. The food made by the wood elves, or the crops they cultivate, are the tree spirits' favorites."
Li Aili: "..." A wood elf selling a white bread for 2 gold coins?
But let's do the math: a single white bread from a wood elf costs two gold coins.
If one Elf White Bread can be exchanged for one Terra Root, then the cost of one Healing Potion is 2 Gold Coins.
Thanks to the unintelligent magic fish on the Water Flower side, she saved some money.
She sells it to the Knights at a wholesale price of 25 gold coins per bottle.
This deal is a sure thing.
All we need to do is think about is how to get a large quantity of goods wholesale from the elves.
What a coincidence!
Li Aili suddenly remembered that the flower fairy had come to her again to buy desire potions, wasn't it for her "not-so-good" elf boyfriend?
Hurry up, before the flower fairy Alice breaks up with this elf, let's get on this business bandwagon!
She suddenly stood up. "Conrad, get me... Ugh! I'm so busy!"
Li Aili suddenly stared at the bewildered centaur Zhegumu and asked, "By the way, you're also Alice's ex-boyfriend, right? Do you still keep in touch with Alice?"
Zhegumu's swaying ponytail stiffened, and she awkwardly turned her head away. "I have nothing to do with that wanton flower fairy anymore, hmph!"
And above his head... it had already started to drizzle.
[Waaaaah... I heard Alice has a new boyfriend, I'm not going to talk to that wanton flower fairy!! Never! Waaaaah...]
