Chapter Thirty-Three: An Unintentional Action Across the World

He put down his pen.

Thinking of his subordinates who were now locked in their castle guest rooms, their hearts somewhat wounded... he spoke cautiously:

"It depends on how big of a mess you've made."

Li Aili stretched out her hand and gestured a little bit, "About this much."

The Duke breathed a sigh of relief and leaned back lazily in his soft chair. "Oh, what is it? Tell me."

Li Aili took out the princess's 'letter' and handed it to the duke.

The duke looked somewhat puzzled. "This is it?"

After thinking it over, Li Aili decided to be honest as soon as possible and get it over with quickly.

He then pointed to the words "divine bird about to take flight" on the letter and said solemnly to the Duke, "Think about it carefully."

Duke: "..."

He asked uncertainly, "Did she drink that alluring potion that allows her to fly again?"

Li Aili: "..."

"No, I guess she wants to switch to the Dark Church, use it to overthrow the Holy Light, then find a new wife for her father, change the kingdom's faith, and conveniently make herself the heir to the kingdom. Of course, if she really becomes the High Priestess of the Dark Temple, I guess she won't even look at Clark's little territory anymore."

Duke: "..."

The knights were so shocked that they forgot about their psychological trauma.

The Duke rubbed his temples and asked, "How likely is it that she's right?"

It remained deathly silent.

After all, nothing like this has ever happened in the history of humankind. As people who have personally experienced this history, we all need time to process it.

Then, Balk said in a particularly slow voice, “Mainly because... no one has ever done this before. I’m referring to the fact that the candidate for the Holy Maiden of Light ‘defected’.”

So we don't have much experience either.

No one would be so reckless as to persuade a candidate for the Holy Maiden of Light to switch allegiance to the Temple of Darkness.

The most outrageous thing is that the candidate for the Holy Maiden of Light has actually fallen for her and has already started taking action.

The Duke closed his eyes briefly. "What will be the reaction from the Dark Temple if this really happens?"

The knights looked at each other, then said in unison, "They must be fucking ecstatic."

Duke: "..."

"Summon the other Grand Knights."

"We need to revise our future war plans."
