The palace floor trembled slightly, and another pillar of the Zhenguo Kingdom collapsed.
The belatedly aware nobles began to riot.
Albert was the first to reach his fallen uncle.
He crouched down, and an ugly little dragon crawled out of his pocket.
The little dragon approached Prince Alex, sniffed, and slowly shook its head.
The emperor was furious.
The overwhelming dragon's might swept through the entire hall like a tsunami.
Arthur instinctively shielded Li Aili, blocking the power unleashed by his father's rage.
The banquet was forced to end.
It's all in chaos, complete chaos.
Since the establishment of the Holy Dragon Empire, the Holy Dragon family has never had a scandal of blood killings among its royal family.
Arthur escorted Li Aili back to her room.
Arthur's face looked grim.
The pain of physically confronting the emperor's dragon might was no match for the heartache of learning that his cousin had harmed his uncle.
Arthur escorted Ellie back to her room and turned to leave.
Now, everything is in chaos, and as the second prince, he must face the turmoil alongside his father and brothers.
Li Aili felt she needed to say something, so as Arthur turned around, she called out to him.
"Arthur!"
Arthur turned around and waited quietly for Ellie to speak.
However, when the words came to her lips, she didn't know how to offer comfort.
Arthur walked back, his voice low and tinged with unhappiness, "Ellie."
"Can I hug you for just one moment?"
Li Aili took the initiative to hug Arthur and gently patted his back.
Arthur rested his chin on the top of Ellie's head and slowly pulled his arms closer together.
After a brief embrace, Arthur gently released his grip.
He said softly, "Don't leave the room, Ellie, until everything is cleared up."
"Something's not right about my uncle's death."
"I'll have Caesar come to you in a little while. In the meantime, please look after him for me."
After saying that, he left in a hurry.
As soon as Arthur left, there was a loud scratching sound coming from Li Aili's door.
She opened the door and saw a platinum dragon, about the size of a calf, walk in.
Caesar was different from usual; he appeared very agitated when he entered.
He patrolled everywhere.
I searched the room inside and out several times before I felt at ease.
Finally, the dragon stopped causing trouble, and Li Aili, feeling exhausted, climbed into bed to sleep.
I hadn't closed my eyes for long when I was woken up by a knock on the door.
Because of what happened before she went to sleep, she didn't sleep well. She turned over, got up, wrapped a large shawl over her nightgown, and went to open the door.
The gate opened, and Conrad stood outside with a squad of dragon riders.
"Miss, the Emperor has ordered a thorough investigation of the entire Perkins Palace."
Since Arthur had given prior notice, Li Aili wasn't surprised and simply stepped aside to let the Dragon Riders in for inspection.
The Dragon Riders sent in several female knights to inspect the area.
The female knights of the Dragon Rider Guard only walked around the room once, and they looked a lot like Caesar the Dragon.
They found nothing and left.
Conrad's eyes were bloodshot.
Carrying the Rubik's Cube lamp, he led the Dragon Riders to Arthur's room.
Li Aili closed the door to her room and lay back on the bed, but she was wide awake.
She finally managed to doze off for a while, barely getting any sleep.
In her dream, she was walking in a dark wilderness when a huge platinum dragon picked her up and held her in its arms.
He protected her with the strongest stance.
Li Aili was awakened by a knock on the door.
She opened her eyes drowsily and went to open the door.
She was almost startled when she opened the door.
Outside the door were knights dressed in magnificent armor.
Catherine pushed the breakfast cart and hurried into Ellie's room.
Catherine said quickly and nervously, "These next few days... we'll be having meals in our rooms, Miss Ellie."
Li Aili instinctively felt that something had happened again, and quickly asked, "What happened?"
Catherine took a deep breath. "Last night, Princess Caesar committed suicide..."
Li Aili: "!!"
Catherine said, "She left a suicide note saying that she sacrificed herself to the devil in exchange for the medicine to poison Prince Alex."
Li Aili said with a complicated expression, "She probably... wanted to take the blame for His Highness Archier."
Catherine pursed her lips. "There are two opposing voices now. One side wants to execute Prince Archie."
"The other faction... is the knights of Prince Caesar's territory, and they are determined to protect Prince Archie to the death."
Even as an observer, Li Aili felt caught in a dilemma; one can only imagine how difficult it must have been for the Emperor.
"Does Prince Alex have a family?" Li Aili asked.
Catherine said, "Yes. Her Highness Valkyrie Sophia..."
"That was a... Valkyrie with a rather fiery temper."
"Prince Caesar's knights are also afraid of Princess Sophia's return... They can't protect Princess Archie, so..."
It's a complete mess.
Li Aili covered her forehead, "I just can't understand why His Highness Archie...hates Prince Alex so much."
I hate him so much that I'd do anything to kill him.
Catherine pursed her lips and lowered her voice, saying, "Someone...someone said that Prince Caesar was possessed by a mind flayer on the battlefield, and Prince Alex personally killed Prince Caesar..."
Li Aili: "..."
Children's love and hate are pure.
Archie loved his father purely, and hated his uncle purely without regard for right or wrong.
Catherine was somewhat reluctant to discuss this matter, so she changed the subject, saying, "His Highness Arthur and His Highness Albert are still in the council chamber."
"They cannot leave until the emperor makes a decision."
