Chapter 85

Chapter 85

"I was wrong. Let me go." The cloaked man wailed in pain, his face wrinkled in intense pain. "I'm not Jack the Ripper."

He begged for mercy in a panic and frantically denied that he was Jack the Ripper.

Kurokawa Akishige frowned and pressed his brows together.

It's indeed a bit too weak.

It's hard to equate him with Jack the Ripper, who committed numerous crimes and played tricks on the police station.

Irene Adler said: "He was definitely not Jack the Ripper."

She reached out and tore off the covering on the man's face and called out his name: "Dodd Abbott."

The man called Dodd Abbott had a venomous look in his eyes. He gritted his teeth and asked, "How did you know it was mine?"

Irene Adler sighed deeply. "You're really still holding a grudge about being fired by the troupe."

Dodd Abbott gritted his teeth and said, "You demons who don't care about people's lives, I will not only hate you, but I will also kill you all."

Kurokawa Akiho was confused by what he heard, and only realized that this person was an acquaintance.

"Dodd Abbott was originally the candidate for the troupe's leading male role, but he did something that damaged the troupe's image. Because the negative impact was so great, he had no choice but to be fired," Irene Adler explained.

"You're talking nonsense! I haven't done anything. I'll be working out early and back late tomorrow to train. I've been diligently working for the troupe, and yet you're firing me!" Dodd Abbott yelled. "Haven't you considered that I'll starve to death without a salary?"

Irene Adler frowned. "You're being fired because you're reselling tickets at exorbitant prices. The troupe is at a critical juncture, and yet you're capable of such a thing. Have you considered that everyone's efforts will be ruined by your actions?"

Dodd Abbott's voice trailed off and his face flushed.

"You're actually capable of murder." Irene Adler shook her head in disappointment. "The captain originally wanted to re-hire you, but now it seems that's no longer necessary."

Dodd Abbott suddenly looked up at Irene Adler and said excitedly, "I'm not trying to kill you. Someone paid me to take advantage of the chaos and kill you."

"I was forced. Can you tell the captain about my situation? Irene, I will die without this job." Dodd Abbott prayed humbly.

Irene Adler sighed. "If you can honestly tell me who ordered you to do this, I can go to the leader and speak for you."

Kurokawa Akishige watched the opera singer in front of him perform silently.

Dodd Abbott gritted his teeth and told the whole story: "I'll tell you everything. It was a man with an eye patch on one eye. He gave me a large sum of money and said that if I killed you now, I could get half of the remaining money."

"What else? Is the only physical feature of the person wearing an eye patch?" Kurokawa Akishige thought of someone based on his description.

Rum.

Dodd Abbott: "Yes, I met him in a pub, and the people in that pub called him Rum."

It's really him.

That guy actually entered the game.

Through what channel did it come in? Is it related to Schindler Corporation?

Kurokawa Akifumi said, "Take me to see him."

Dodd Abbott hesitated, his eyes drifting back and forth. He stammered, "Okay, but I have to go back to work at the troupe."

Dodd Abbott, who had been a rogue for a long time, became extremely cautious.

Irene Adler: "Of course not."

Dodd Abbott couldn't wait to tell the location of the tavern, and he knew clearly that Rum would be waiting for him in the tavern.

After getting the position, Irene Adler smiled knowingly and took off her disguise: "Go to prison and repent for the rest of your life, Abbott."

Dodd Abbott looked stunned, his bloodshot eyes widening. "What do you mean?! Didn't you agree that if I told you my position, you'd let me return to the troupe?!"

"How dare you lie to me?! You bitch!"

Dodd Abbott struggled to get up and reached out to grab his dagger, but before he could grab it, he was controlled by Kurokawa Akiho.

Kurokawa Akifumi curled his lips and said, "Do you really think you can negotiate? I think the police station will definitely welcome someone claiming to be Jack the Ripper. They might even send you to the torture chair right away."

"As a way to reassure the residents of London, who cares if it's Jack the Ripper who's dead?"

Dodd Abbott was frightened. He looked at Irene Adler in horror and said, "No, you can't do this. The police station won't agree!"

Irene Adler smiled gently and said, "They will agree. After all, you are just a murderer who calls himself Jack the Ripper."

One sentence negated all of Dodd Abbott's luck.

Dodd Abbott's pupils trembled as he shook his head desperately: "This can't happen. I've told you everything. You can't send me to the police station."

If he goes to the police station, he will die.

All the struggles were meaningless, and there was despair in Dodd Abbott's eyes.

Irene Adler found a rope and the two of them tied the man up together.

She said, "It's nice working with you. Are you really not considering joining the troupe as an actor? With your looks, you'd definitely accept being tailor-made for the male lead."

Kurokawa Akifumi checked to see if the rope was tied tightly, then chuckled dryly, "No, I'm still more suitable to be the headmaster."

The kind of thing where his face becomes stiff from smiling on stage is not suitable for him.

He saw Toru Amuro and Conan Edogawa rushing over from a distance, and turned to Irene Adler and said, "Excuse me, Ms. Adler. They will definitely be able to protect you from now on."

Irene Adler nodded, understanding Kurokawa Akifusa's next destination. She smiled and said, "Don't let that guy get away."

Kurokawa Akiho rushed to the tavern, took a look at the skirt and wig she was wearing, turned around and changed her clothes.

*

The foggy city at night is always shrouded in mist. The moonlight shines through the layers of mist and casts a tiny silver light on the ground. Deep in the dark alleys, there seem to be creatures that only appear in terrifying urban legends.

The pub is located in a remote place, at the very end of the alley where neither moonlight nor sunlight can reach.

Dim lights flickered, and on the dark ground stood a few fat rats with deep red eyes, gathered together without any fear of people. The pungent smell of alcohol could be smelled from the entrance of the alley.

The old wooden door of the pub could not stop the lively discussions and fun inside. The darkness of the alley seemed like a natural protective layer, turning everything into two different worlds.

Kurokawa Akishige pushed open the door of the tavern, and the welcoming bell rang crisply.

The bustling room suddenly fell silent, and everyone turned their vigilant eyes to the black-haired young man who entered.

Someone put the wine glass on the table and glanced at the bartender who was busy with his head down.

Kurokawa Akishi narrowed his eyes, ignored the obvious abnormality, and walked to the bar as if nothing had happened and pulled out a bench.

His slender chin was dragging lazily, and his blue eyes were staring at the bartender who was looking down with interest.

"Bacardi rum."

The bartender lowered his head and pushed the glass up, his eyes covered by the brim of his hat with an eye patch, and he remained silent.

Kurokawa Akishige shook his glass, and the ice ball made a crisp sound when it hit the wall of the glass. Although he was very interested in this drink, he was still cautious and did not try it. He stared at the bartender who was wiping the glass and said, "If you really want to talk about it, this should be considered the second time we have met privately, right?"

"Counting that time with Morishima."

Rum raised his eyelids, wiped the wine glass in his hand, his eyes were cold but his tone was smiling: "Is the guest telling a story? It sounds very interesting."

"Oh, right. I'm telling you a very interesting story." Kurokawa Akifumi nodded honestly and asked with great interest, "Do you know anything about mice?"

Rum tightened his grip on the wine glass, his eyes filled with hostility.

Of course he knew about the rat, as he had seen the guy insulting him through the monitor before.

Bacardi rum is like a child who has not grown up. It is dangerous and uncontrollable, and very difficult to deal with when it goes crazy. That's why he doesn't want to confront this guy head-on.

These idiotic NPCs can't even shut their mouths.

Rum has a very quick temper, and his personality has become difficult to get along with after he reached a high position. However, due to the boss's current dissatisfaction with him, he can only swallow his anger temporarily.

Soon things will be different, and soon he will be able to deal with this arrogant kid in front of him with his own hands.

Kurokawa Akiwa observed Rum's expression: "They hide in the darkness, radiating greed from the inside out. But they have a remarkable ability to escape quickly when danger strikes."

"They'll find a place where they can get into, dirty and disgusting sewers, messy corners and cracks, even if it means losing a layer of skin, because that's the only way they can save their lives."

Rum put the cleaned wine glass into the display drawer.

Kurokawa Akifusa had a sarcastic smile on his face: "Sometimes I'm really curious, how did you get the title? Did you hide?"

The wine glass made an extremely slight sound when it touched the cold, hard object.

After putting the glass down, Rum didn't take his hand out. Instead, he looked up at Kurokawa Akiwa and smiled, his tone cold, "What the guest said is indeed very strange. Rats can actually be such creatures."

He suddenly raised his arm, pointed the revolver at Kurokawa Akishige's head and quickly pulled the trigger!

Although you cannot die completely in the game, the pain will not disappear.

"If rats bite people, they will get the Black Death."

With a loud "bang", the bullet rushed out of the muzzle at a speed invisible to the naked eye, aiming directly at Kurokawa Akishige's head.

At the same time, Kurokawa Akiho suddenly moved, stood up and moved forward to avoid the rapidly spinning bullet, suddenly grabbed Rum's wrist, and kicked him in the face without any hesitation!

Rum let out a dull cry of pain, and before he could react, he fell to the ground, his head hitting the closet hard, his whole body in pain as if it was falling apart.

Before he could get up from the ground, his collar was grabbed, his neck was strangled and his breathing almost stopped, and a powerful fist hit him in the face.

The pain exploded in the nerves, the teeth were unable to withstand the huge impact and were about to fall off, and a taste of rust overflowed from the mouth.

Rum breathed in panic and stretched out his arm to reach the pistol that fell to the ground.
